Rosier Mansion ((located in London NOT in HOGWARTS...aka you cannot go there...))

A crash echoed through the Mansion followed by a woman's shriek and then flash of green light.
Lord Voldemort swept out of the room, with Edmund trailing him like a puppy and glared at Viper.

"Apparently you failed." Lord Voldemort thundered.

Viper stiffened. "I did not fail, my lord. I told you what I knew of the potion at first glance: that it was mixed by two hands by someone careless. That was true. My lord, how was I to know what it was without ever coming across it before? It was Eglantine's own creation! How was I to know the components?" she asked as she stood firmly, not allowing her sheer terror to show.

"I did not mean by the excessum." Lord Voldemort angry was a sight to behold, his eyes blazed with power and his youthful features were horribly contorted into rage.

(So who died?)

Viper raised an eyebrow, for she was not at all accustomed to people yelling at her, dark lord or not. "My lord, if you are referring to Kiara not yet trusting me,then I must beseech you to be a bit more patient. This assignment takes time. The woman was an auror, not some mudblood who can't tell his wand from his foot!"

From behind her Maximus hissed into her ear. "For Merlin's sake Amaranth show some respect! I promise you, my dear, you won't look nearly as lovely when you're transparent!"

"I am referring to your sister!" As if to explain the shriek and flash of light, Vivian Rosier exited the other room, her eyes puffy and red. She drew her wand behind the dark lord.
"You killed my son, you bastard!" she screamed, firing a killing curse at Lord Voldemort.

(ooh, sn-ap! poor erin...)

Viper instictively shot a firing curse at Vivian, her earlier suspicians of this woman confirmed.

Lord Voldemort ducked just in time to avoid the killing curse, turning to fire a crucio at Vivian.

Distracted by blocking the firing curse, Vivian took the crucio to her chest and fell, writhing on the floor.

"What should we do with her, Edmund?" Lord Voldemort said, obviously testing him. The man stared at his screaming wife for a moment before pulling his wand out.

"Whatever you wish, my lord." he finally whispered.

(ooh, my bad! meant to put killing curse....oh well.)

Viper stared a moment, unsure of what to do, but practically gagged into silence by the look in her Uncle's eyes.

"Then kill her." Voldemort smirked, seeing the battle raging in Edmund Rosier's eyes.

(oh no, it was my fault. Plus I like your way better! hey is it just my computer or is this site a little iffy sometimes? Like it won't load and you have to wait like 5-10 minutes for it to work?)

Viper kept her eyes on the scene in front of her. Her hand holding her wand steady in case something should go amiss.

((Yeah, it is the site, I am having problems as well))

Edmund pointed his wand at his wife and took a deep breath.
"Avada Kedavra" and the thrashing stopped.

"Very good, Edmund. The Rosiers have proved themselves again."

((It isn't just you, It is not just this site either apperently it is problem with the server, only reason it is working right now is I keep on manually resetting the site))

Viper stared at Vivian's dead body, not at all suprised by Edmund's decision, for she had seen and heard of much worse. She returned her wand within her robes, still keeping hold of it as she waited for her lord's next move.

(oh, ok. Manually resetting the server? man, that sounds annoying. is it difficult?)

"Now that the Rosiers have cleaned up their part of this mess." Lord Voldemort turned to face Viper. "You will have to as well." His anger seemed sated for a moment, although he still had his wand drawn.

"Muggle authorities have placed your sister and her husband on a missing list. Explain how he survived."

((Yes every time it goes to a white screen I need to log on to the admin board give a bunch of passwords, wait for it to reconnect to the sever, It isn't hard just anoying))

"Eglantine revived him with excessum. They are both now in Hogwarts." Viper answered flatly, bracing herself for whatever was to come.

Lord Voldemort just stared at her.

"It appears as though your son's only mistake was not destroying the body." He sneered, speaking to Edmund, who was draping a cloth over his wife's still body.
"Eglantine Rosier! How I wish I had never heard that name before." he cursed, his hand going to his chest, which was throbbing from the grief she was pouring out at that moment. Of course all he knew was that she was in pain.

"She's probably sobbing with grief. It kills her, seeing Odessa with her husband. Brings back too many memories." Viper conjured another anima potion and handed it to the dark lord.

Voldemort took the potion and sighed as the pain subsided.
"My patience is dying." he muttered. Finally he saw Viper's uncle and greeted him with a rare genuine smile.
"Obviously death has not corrupted your loyalty."

(Maximus is her uncle, not nephew)

Maximus bowed gallantly. "My lord, it is an honor to be in your presence once more. I do hope that my current state will still provide some use for me, for I have every intention of serving your every whim, just as I did for all those years."

((I meant to write uncle...sorry))

"Indeed, it is nice to see you again, Maximus." Voldemort moved aside as Edmund levitated Vivian's body past them and into the study.
"Poor timing though. This family, save the younger boys, is completely useless."

Maximus nodded sympathetically. "I am sorry to hear that my lord. But cheer up, it is the early days of your reign! I'm sure that within time your army will be in its full strength. And I'm sure my niece Amaranth is of some use to you. Is she not?" he asked gesturing to Viper.

"Some use." Lord Voldemort agreed. "But her use will be greatly heightened if she fulfilled her tasks without blunder."

"My lord, if you do not need me now. I will dispose of the bodies." Edmund stated, his face a perfect mask of control. It seemed as though the Rosier family had some strange ability to mask whatever they were feeling at odd times.
"Indeed." Voldemort waved a hand dismissing him. Edmund and his two remaining sons, left the room, two still bodies floating after them.

Viper stared at the exiting family, wondering if they were actually grieving from their loss and would actually go through the appropriate burials. She knew for a fact that her grandfather Malachite refused to bury any fallen Viper in the Viper Family Tomb should their death be dishonorable: such as a defeat in a duel, or punishement by the Dark Lord. However, realizing that the two men in the room were speaking about her, she quickly turned her attention back to them.

"On the contrary, my lord. If anything, this task was a fate encounter and will weave nicely with our plans. We now know where Eglantine's excessum is, where she keeps it, and how much is left, giving us an advantage." Viper stated calmly, looking straight into the Dark Lord's eyes.

Maximus bit his lip, it appeared to be an inherited trait when it came to the Vipers and the dark lord. He wondered briefly if his niece was trying to be bold or was just plain stupid. All his years as a servant taught him that no one dared to adress the dark lord in this matter. In an effort to help ease the situatuation, for he wasn't quite sure what the Dark Lord's reaction would be, he threw in his two cents in a soft voice. "It's like losing a knut and finding a galleon, my lord..."
