"Of course she was, Kiara. You, in her eyes, are the enemy."

Kiara sighed "No kidding Eglantine, concidering she thinks of us as wild animals" she said.

"But that is probably all she has been told all her life... however she isn't like her father, she was apogizing.... she was actually sorry I had been killed....." she said with a sight feeling sorry for the girl.

"I had her moved to one of the guest qaurters... I was going to talk to her again later on. See where it goes"

"That is very gracious of you, Kiara. But why are you telling me this? I've never met the girl."

Kiara blinked "I am just filling you in on what is going on, plue the fact she is your niece. I thought you would want to know."

Eglantine closed her eyes. "She is not my niece. When my husband was killed by that man, I cut myself entirely from him. Please, Kiara. Would you want to talk about Daniel's family?"

Kiara sighed "I suppose not" she said feeling foolish for bringing it up. "Forget I metioned her then"

Eglantine smiled softly. "Thank you. How did Ciaran take the news?"

Kiara blinked confused for a moment "What news?" her mind going blank as to what she ment.

"The list..." Eglantine reminded gently.

"Well,... I suppose, better then me anyway. Not really much for my to say other then that, I suppose" she said, that part of the converation he ended rather quickly.

"Hmm..." Eglantine seemed slightly concerned about what Kiara had just told her. "Ciaran never seems to be overly concerned..."

Kiara shruggled "Perhaps he doesn't show it on the out side... he comforted me when I needed it... and took care of me when I didn't feel to well." she explained.

"I think he was just preventing me from worrying even more... I think I do it enough for the both of us anyway" she said. Thinking back to the day before with all her worry, stress and everything else, nearly made sick to her stomach.

Eglantine nodded. "That is good. He seemed like a very unique young man. I am very happy for you."

Kiara nodded "Thank you......... but there was something worrying me about marrying him though.." she said as a frown appeared on her face.

"If he marries me it will make both he and Tav targets when he is old enough won't it?" she asked.

Eglantine sighed. "Not necessarily... that will be up to Charles. Sometimes he allows some people to slip...but that is a rarity. Kiara, if Ciaran is to be added to the list, it will be because of his relation to Horatio not to you."

Kiara nodded "I see," she said with a sighed.

Still allowing the saftey of her sooon to be family to remain strong was important to her.

"Erm I can I ask... why are you so suspicous of him?"

Eglantine didn't want to reply. Her eyes drifted to the wall. Finally she sighed. "I am just being cautious...not really suspicious."

Kiara sighed, "If you say so Eglantine, it is just this isn't this first time you have questioned the way he acts. You practicaly accused him of being a purger yesterday, because he wasn't on the list. I ust want to know why, what has he done for you to suspect him so?"

Eglantine levitated herself to stand. In truth she was only curious about Ciaran due to how quickly he had "fallen in love" with Kiara. Maybe there was nothing to it...but Eglantine had only desired to get her adopted daughter a date for the yule ball...not a fiance. As Horatio had been thrilled about the proposal; she felt it was her duty to discover his true intentions.

"It snowed today... Edwin was thrilled. He wanted to know where it had come from. Horatio told him it was fairy dust."

Kiara sighed she wouldn't tell her. "Honestly you are worse then Sevastyan" she mumbled.

She laughed at the discription "Fiairy dust huh? Well I admit it does look magical after the first fall." she said.

"How is Edwin now a days anyways havn't talked to him much since he got back... a remady I should fix sometime hmm?"

"Yes, it does. Edwin is fine. He is very active and I've agreed to let him keep the puppy. Hopefully he will want to get rid of it as it gets larger.

Kiara smiled and shock her head "I wouldn't count on it if I were you"

Eglantine smiled softly, but her mind was still focused on what Kiara had said. She knew that Kiara hated lies and things being kept from her. So she decided to go for the truth and hope the younger woman didn't become angry or laugh.

"I just want to protect you, kleine. You've had so much unhappiness." she whispered.

Kiara sighed "Yes and I now finally have light in my life now a family, you who are my mother, Horatio who has become like my father, Sevastyan is like a brother I never had. Even Viper, is like a slighly annoying younger sister, who you would hate to aruge with. And Ciaran, it the nicest man I could ever meet,and Tav is delighlful"

"I thank you for wanting to protect me, but perhaps you should spend some time with him. Instead of going to the first worst senerio the comes to mind. I love him Eglantine.:

Eglantine turned. "You hardly know him!" she replied. "Even I know him better than you do." she sighed. "I am glad that you have Ciaran. I just want you to be careful. The heart often blinds us, Kiara." she levitated closer to the younger woman. "Don't misunderstand me. I have nothing against him. I just want you to be careful."
