The Slytherin Common Room

Ana finished the letter to her father and stood up to look for an owl to send it with.
A note flew in through the door and landed in front of her.

"Miss Vaight

Please come to my office as soon as you are able.

Professor DeLanquar

Note~ Sooner than later would be appreciated."

Remembering her trip into the Forbidden Forest, Ana started to walk to the Professor's office.

((From the restricted section))

Ana followed "herself" stealthily, glancing around to make sure no-one noticed her. Nobody even glanced her way. That was good. A quick tap on the arm of her double steered her into the girls bathroom in the common room.
The double quickly cast a charm so they could not be overheard.
"You took your time."
"There were complications. The Dark lord is now a child. His plan failed."
"Yes, and this potion nearly wore off! That's the real crisis here!"
"Did you make sure the librarian knew you were there throughout?"
"Yes, yes. I asked questions and knocked a whole bookshelf!"
The potion was wearing off. Soon, Ana's elder brother stood in front of her, looking worried.
"Father will need to hear this news. It's a good thing we didn't openly declare loyalty, and that we prepared for every eventuality."
"Yes, that was good thinking Darien." He smiled and pulled his wand from his pocket. "Now make sure no-one knows you were involved, Ana."
She grinned. "Don't worry brother...Just get the news to dad, quickly."
The older boy grinned and transformed, becoming a wolf. Ana rolled her eyes and tapped him on the head, casting a disillusionment. "Good boy."
A tail thudded into her leg as she opened the toilet door and stepped out, taking care to keep up the facade before removing the spell blocking all conversations.
Thank Merlin she had thought to bring a decoy into the picture. And the beauty of it was, nobody could or would ever know. She grinned to herself. Thank merlin for occlumency. And thanks to Darien for the memories he'd duplicated for her. A small voice poked her mental defense. Darien.
I'm home. We are officially in the clear!
Well that was a relief. Back to business as usual.

((Sorry, a hugemongous amount, but Darien has been ordered back here, so I have to post AGAIN, I know anyone reading this is probably sick of my posts...Sorry!))

Darien strolled into the common room and flopped on a black leather couch opposite his sister.
"Had a bit of trouble with Viper...lost control again."
Ana sighed. "You never used to lose control this much...What is wrong with you? Even werewolves don't transform this much!"
Darien rolled his eyes. "Chill, I just had to take a potion. Now no tranforming for a month." He leant backwards, running a hand through his hair.
"The idea was this whole animagus thing was going to be kept a secret! Everyone will know soon! You've already told the Headmistress, that werewolf and now Viper!"
"Um...And DeLanquar."
"And the transfiguration professor?! Darien, you have got to keep your control." She stood up and stepped towards him, glancing around the deserted room. "I will make this easy to remember. Stay human and keep control... or I will make your life HELL!"
She stalked up to her dorm, Darien still lingering in the common room. Doubtless Viper and DeLanquar would like to talk to him...Maybe the Headmistress too. And he'd already got into trouble with her. He hit his head on the arm of the sofa.
Brilliant. Just brilliant.

The twins watched from the shadows as they observed the Vaight sidlings.

'Very..' thought Aiden

"Interesting"Amy finished.

Walking into the common room they sat on one of the leather sofas, contemplating if they should say something or not.

'Having a rough day..."

"Vaight?" asked Amy.

((Yay Slytherins!!! Sorry, I'm hyper at the moment.))

Darien glanced around. He hadn't noticed the twins before.
"That's me... Hi. Who're you two?" He smiled in a friendly way, they were Slytherins after all.

"I am Amy Avalon and this my brother....."

"Aiden Avalon"

The twins looked at eachother seeming to have a mental converation then turned back to Darien they asked.

"Is there any thing we may do...."said Amy

"To be of assistence?"

Darien blinked. Wow, that was strange.
They finished each others sentances!
But then again, he and Ana had mental conversations every now and again. The twins seemed mentally linked, really strongly.
He smiled. "Thanks for the offer, but I don't think there's anything anyone can do. I'm waiting for detention."
He laughed inwardly. He sounded like such a rebel.
Well, rebel would be preferable to uncontrollable freak of nature...
"Yup...So, what classes are you guys taking?"

The twins ran off a list.

"Potions, charms..

"Defense, Transfiguration, advanced spells....

"Astronomy ((Which will be up soon according to HM Kiara))

and Muggle Studies"

Amy smiled "We are in the dueling club as well"

Darien grinned.
"Duelling club...My sister and I've signed up for that...But I wouldn't be surprised if I miss the meeting for detention."
He laughed, then abruptly stopped.
"Speak of the devil child..."

Ana rolled her eyes at Darien's decription of her. "It's hard to believe he's older than me." She turned to the twins. "Hi, I'm Ana."
Darien rolled his eyes at her back. "She was always the 'mature' one."
"And he was always the scarily Gryffindor one."
Darien glared at her.

Aiden smiled at Ana.

'Hi I am Aiden this is my sister Amy" (oope all As sorry)

Amy gave a bow of her to the other Slytherin but in her head she sent a glare at her brother.

"Please to don't tell me your infatuated with her"
Aiden stopped him self form blushing.

"I don't need to tell you... Decides she is cute

Amy roll her eyes "Boys"

Then truning she attention to Darien she asked "So why are you in detention?"

"Because he is incapable of human thought."
Darien glared at Ana. "I can speak for myself you know."
Ana raised an eyebrow. "That is very, very debatable."
Darien glanced at her scornfully.
"Because I attacked Professor Viper."
Ana sat down on the other end of Darien's sofa. "Because you are incapable of human thought."
Darien pretended not to have heard her. "Yup, I attacked Professor Viper." His face and tone were deadly serious and for once, truthful.

Amy and Aiden looked up in surprise.

"You attacked our head of house?" asked Amy.

"Do you have a death wish?" asked Aiden

Darien shook his head. "Nope...Not yet anyway."
"After detention you will."
"Shut up Ana. Yeah, um... I'm kinda an animagus, and I lost control."
"He does that a lot."
Darien glared at his sister. "Will you shut up?"
Ana mimed zipping he mouth up.
"So, it wasn't entriely my fault."
Ana glanced down at the floor, the horrible prickling guilt stopping her from making a snide comment about that.

Aiden looked at the girl curiously surprised she didn't say anything. However he didn't say anything.

Amy however smiled. "Perhaps I can help you then. Do you by any chance know Occlumency? It could help you retain human mind "

"Vaguely." Darien muttered, bracing himself for Ana's verbal assault.
Ana was surprised. Vaguely? "Darien..." her eyes opened wider. "You didn't...you didn't learn?"
She looked at the twins. "Darien told me and my parents that he needed money to take part in the Drumstrang occlumency course..." She turned to her brother. "And what did you spend it on?"
He rolled his eyes. "Who are you, my mother?" He sighed. "I bought a broom."
Ana kicked him. "See, now this whole problem is mostly your fault!"

Amy stopped her self from laughing.

"If you are willing perhaps I could help, I am a natural Occlumens and know alot on the subject"

Staring at her brother for a moment, the only reason she knew all there is to know was because Aiden had tried to learn it, however was unsucessful.

She still retained all his knowledge on the subject.

"Only if you are willing of course"

"He is."
Darien looked outraged.
"Or, I could just tell father quite what you spent his money on..."
Darien sat upright. "You wouldn't dare."
Ana raised an eyebrow.
Darien looked unsure. "Please teach me, PLEASE!" He begged.
Ana leant back on the sofa arm, laughing almost hysterically at Darien's pleading.

Aiden raised his eye brow at the pleading boy before thinking to his sister.

"Are you sure sis? The only reason he wants to learn is because his sister threatened to tell on him"

Amy smirked. "Isn't that why you tried to learn, cause I threatened to tell all your secrets to Mum and Dad?"

Aiden glared "As I recall I wasn't very sucessful now was I?"

Amy smiled "We will see" and then she turned back to Darien.

"There is no need to beg Vaight, I offered.. So when ever you want start, and it would help a great if you read this book 'Shielding the mind, by Severus Snape'

Ana managed to contain her laughter, barely.
"Thanks." Darien resumed his previous seat on the couch. "And you can two can call me Darien if you like, Vaight might get me confused with her..." He indicated at Ana, who glared back.
"Ditto. I don't want his detentions."
Darien rolled his eyes. "You don't deserve my rebellious-ness."
"Well that's a new way of saying various failings... Now you just need to buy or find a copy of that book." Ana poked him with a toe. "Go on."
"I'm waiting for detention." Darien replied, folding his arms.
Ana rolled her eyes, suddenly realising how often she and Darien rolled thier eyes.
Scary. Very scary.

Amy nodded and smiled, step one was complete.

Asked Aiden in amusement.

"I wonder what you will have to do for detention? Professor Viper has never given a Slytherin a detention before"

Darien grinned. "There's always a first."
"And that first is apparently you." Ana smiled.
"So, where are you guys from?" Darien asked, seeking a change of topic.

The twins looked at eachother quickly going over what they should reveal and what they shouldn't.

"We were born in london..." said Amy

"Our parents are Logan Avalon...

"and Merissa Malfoy"

Merissa Malfoy...never heard of her.
Me neither.
"I was born in London, but Ana was born in Sussex, at home." Darien said. "Our parents are Reginald and Isabella Vaight."
Ana rolled her eyes. "Fine, don't let me get a word in edgeways, see if I care."
Darien stuck out his tongue at her.
"Wow Darien, that's a whole new level of sophistication for you."
"Shut up."
Ana ignored him. "You should come to our house sometime, Dad and Mum are always saying we should have friends over."
Darien laughed. "No Ana, they are always saying you should have friends over. They didn't want my Durmstrang friends anywhere near their breakable furniture."
"And you wondered why?!"

Dracovan entered the common room in awe, smiling at the familiar room and the memories it contained. He skimmed his hand across the paintings and smiled. Not much had changed to his delight.

He smiled as he noticed the small group of Slytherins in the room. "Well well well, if it isn't my dear little sister's precious serpent army."
