Common Room

"Okay. Thanks." Darien grinned, then tripepd over Ana's foot. "Oi!"
"Darien, you tripped over my foot, I am the victim of your clumsiness!"
Darien muttered something inaudiable and stomped up the stairs, placing the potion reverently on the table by his bed.
"Night people down there!" He yelled down the stairs.
Ana rolled her eyes. "And he calls me pathetic!"

Amy and Aiden laughed,

"I envy you two, you act like normal brother and sister,

"..we freak people out with our twinness"

"Normal isn't all it's cracked up to be though." Ana grimaced. "He is a very, very, very annoying person. Last Christmas was practically a war..." She laughed.
"Although, we did manage to cover father in cold water, meant for me...That was pretty amusing. Until I got grounded."

Aiden sighed
"Hmm at least you guys can fight and cool off after, we can't"

"We are stuck with eachother"

Ana was puzzled.
"What do you mean? You can ust go to your separate dorms, and cut off mental communication."

The twins shook shook there heads.

"Nope, our minds are connected to eachother, and it is unplesant to got to far into seperate rooms" said Amy.

"Oh, fair enough."
Ana grinned.
"I'm glad that me and Darien aren't like that. We're just telepathic, slightly. Although, it must be cool being twins. Two opinions and someone you can talk to all the time. Rather than just winging it."

Aiden rolled his eyes. "Doesn't stop her" he mumbled.

Amy glared and Aiden smirked.

"I do what I want" said Amy.

Ana grinned.
"Well, you can't please everyone, may as well please yourself."

Amy smirked at Aiden.

"I hear his thought in my head so much I can tune him out when I don't want to listen. Believe me there are time I don't want to.." she said to Ana.

Then her head whipped back to Aiden picking up on of his thoughts.

"You wouldn't dare, my pain is your pain remember?"

Aiden hit himself on the forehead.

"Amy.... you blabber mouth"

Ana laughed.
"Boys do talk about pretty pointless things sometimes...In Darien's case a lot of the time. Fortunantly, Bob is very good at making soundproof bubbles."

Amy nodded , "Sound bubbles don't help us any, I but I can't wait until we are 17 teen we can do magic at home"

"Course."
Ana rolled her eyes. "Vaights usually only use magic for duelling...Oh shoot!"
She leapt off the couch and hurtled up to her dorm. "I'll be right back!"
She ran into her dorm, and rummaged though her trunk, until she found what she was looking for. She grabbed a sheet of paper and hurried to Darien's room, slamming her fist into the door.
"What?! Ana! What are you-"
"Darien! Look!" She shoved the paper under his nose. "Remember, duelling competition...every five years...any of this ringing a bell?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
Ana laughed. "What about it? Okay, well let's see...um, Dad is champion, Mum will also be duelling there is an age limit of fourteen and hm...WE ARE BOTH COMPETING!"
Darien was bleary-eyed with sleep. "But-"
"No way out. We have to duel, or dad will crucify us. And we were meant to have been practising, and you know what? We haven't and it is a week!!!" She was almost shouting.
"Shut up!" One of Darien's dorm mates shouted. Darien groaned and walked back down the stairs to the main part fo the common room, closing his dorm door behind him and yawning.

Amy and Aiden waited in the common room waiting for Ana to come back.

"I wonder what it was"

Ana hurtled back down the stairs.
"My idiot brother has forgotten perhaps the most crucial moment in five years."
Darien yawned. "What's the big deal? It's just the five-yearly duelling competition which we can now both enter."
"Which we haven't trained for."
"So what?"
Ana cupped her hands around her mouth. "Hello? Earth to Darien! These relatives are almost as good as dad and if we do not want to be slaughtered, we need to practise!"
Darien sighed. "So we'll lose, so what?"
"Do you enjoy being used as a substitute?"
"I enjoy being asleep, which I could be right now if you weren't having a little panic about this!" Darien yawned again to emphasise the point.

"Will you guys need help practicing?" asked Aiden.

"Yes please!" Ana smiled thankfully.
"I still don't see what the big deal is..." Darien muttered.
"Darien, are you trying to get disowned? They already hate you okay? Just go with it."

"We'll will help you practice when ever you want" said Aiden.

"Thanks." Darien turned to Ana, with a weary expression. "NOW can I go back to bed?!"
She rolled her eyes. "Yes."
"Thank you...Night, again."
Darien trudged back up the stairs and into his dorm.
Ana sighed. "Well now that panic's over...Always good to find an excuse to wake up an older brother."

Amy nodded, "yeah boys are always fun to wake up, there funny when they are half a sleep, though we don't have a older brother, I am 3 minutes older then Aiden

Ana grinned.
"I'm just glad siblings don't have to share rooms here, it's bad enough occasionally bumping into him at home, especially in the morning. Then he says I hog the bathroom!"

The twins looked at eachother, "We share a room at home"

Ana grinned. "We used to, but then he annoyed Dad so he got the smaller room...He's still sulking about that."
She sighed and glanced at the paper again.
"Ugh...duelling rules are stupid...Hang on! No subs! Brilliant..." She flicked open the paper and several slips of paper fell out.
"What the..." Ana's eyes gained an evil glint. She quickly counted the slips of paper.
"Six candidate slips...Darien, me and four more."
She placed two on the table in front of the twins.
"Still want to duel my parents?"

((yay, duelling... *evil laugh* ... *coughing fit* ... Dammit, it ruined the evil laugh moment!! *sniffs* ))

The twins smirked.

"We like..."

"..The way you think Ana"

"Of course we will, to does it have team duels? As you might be able to guess that is our specialty..."

"We haven't been beaten yet"

"Hang on..." Ana flicked through the pages, stuck together by a black ribbon. Why was it always so black and green?
"Ah-ha... Okay, the programme is; single duels in the morning, pre-chosen...by father apparently. He's the host this year, so he will only be fighting if challenged in the second half. Everyone takes part in the first part, which lasts until 11:57...exactly apparently...odd number - anyway... Yes, prechosen duels, host doesn't take part. Age doesn't matter etc. Random choice...yeah, right. So whoever wins all thier matches gets a nice trophy to say well done... Oh, and then that person goes forward to the champion match right at the end, about 19:33...Who came up with these times?!...After lunch there's the second half, team duels, which you sign up for there, and get challenged or challenge another team. The two that win get a nice trophy as well...And then there's another meal, then the champion bit."
Ana sighed. "I don't think I'll enter the team one..."
There was a crack. Ana jumped backwards into the sofa. "Bob! What are you-"
"A revised scheduele, Miss Ana. For the competition. And your father requests that you do not enter the team duelling event, as he and you mother are planning on doing so and he doesn't want Master Darien left in charge of...well...anything...really."
"Okay.. Thanks Bob."
Bob vanished.
"Apparently, I'm not entering that... Oh. Darien'll need a partner." She reached out to her telepathy.
Darien, get up.
She continued to jab at his mind until a very tired Darien, with fury all over his face arrived in the common room.
"Just wanted to tell you I'm not allowed to do the team duelling, so you need to find yourself a partner." Ana threw his own, and a spare slip at him.
"Is that all?! Can I go back to sleep now?"
Ana rolled her eyes. "Yes. Yes you can."
"Thank you." Darien turned and stormed back up to his dorm.
