Darien swore. Now he'd killed a skunk!

Great!

He crouched down next to it and poked it gently.

"Um...skunky? skunky? Please wake up...skunky?"

On a scale of 1 to 10 in intelligence...she'd give him...a 5.

Opening her eyes, she bounded back into his arms and began to make a clicking sound that skuck refer to as purring, not to be confused with what cat's do... a treat was most definitely needed now!! Two tricks in five minutes..

Darien was even more puzzled.

But first, YAY he hadn't killed the skunk.

Secondly, it sounded like it was clicking...

Maybe skunks were like cats! Maybe it was coughing up a ...fur ball?

In which case, what the hell was he going to do?

Darien blinked again and patted the skunk awkwardly once more.

What was with the patting? Did the boy not know how to walk to the treats? They were around here somewhere, weren't they? Pork began to sniff around, digging her little nose into the robe's pockets. Alright she'd even go for an owl treat, she was so hungry!

Darien raised an eyebrow.

What was the skunk doing? Trying to sniff out...something.

But what?

Idea! Maybe it was thirsty!

"Um...You want a...drink?"

Darien waved his wand and a small cup of water appeared. He waved it again and it became a beaker. Much easier, and less breakable.

He set the skunk down in front of the water.

Pork's little skunk heart began to beat in a happy little rhythm. Yay, Mr. Dunce had finally figured out what she wanted...wait- a beaker!? She leaned into it and sniffed.

Water.

Just plain tasteless water.

Was this a joke?

Her tail flipped up... he had better take the hint.

Darien frowned, confused.

Skunks...

His eyes widened in fear.

"Um...Sorry?"

He hastily waved his wand, turning the water to chocolate milk.

Did skunks even drink chocolate milk?

Pork sniffed the beaker again... ah what an improvement! The lovely human.

The tail lowered and she began to slurp up the chocolate milk... Esis would be upset, but she loved chocolate. A moment later, she hiccuped, feeling a bit woozy.

Oh no, not another furball!

Darien bit his lip slightly.

He had the feeling 'killed skunk' would not look good on his CV.

"Um...Skunky? Skunky? Are you okay?"

Pork hiccuped again, feeling very good and very dizzy. She sat down with a soft plop and looked up at the boy. More please. Her eyes pleaded and go heavy on the chocolate!

...Hmm...maybe the skunk should wash the furball down.

Darien waved his wand, and more chocolate milk appeared.

Then just for the hell of it, some cream appeared on the top.

Pork began to think she had died and gone to heaven. Quickly finishing off the chocolate milk...and cream!!! she yawned and slowly tottered back to Darien. You'll need to carry me...she thought, I can't see my feet.

Darien picked up the animal, who he thought looked a bit...well...chocolate-high.

He vanished the beaker and glanced at the skunk's collar.

"Where's your home skunky?"

((lol...what would Esis say...chocolate milk AND cream? Bad Darien!))

The collar said "Pork" and nothing else sadly. However if one held the little creature within sniffing range, it would become quite obvious that her owner was a heavy drinker of cognac...and only one professor really loved her cognac.

"...Pork?" Darien was once more completely bemused. "Um...useful. People should put addresses on their pets..."

Hm...well he couldn't see anything...the skunk apparently was unwilling to talk-if it could he'd know...Darien sniffed the skunk.

Cognac?

...Darien sighed. "Alright buddy, let's go find someone smelling of cognac...Hm...Student or teacher?"

Pork hiccuped again, blissfully happy. Maybe the boy could convince Esis to give her more chocolate milk...on a more daily basis. That would be nice, she thought, dreamily.

"Okay skunk-Pork...Let's go see...Um...the astronomy teacher..." Darien headed out of the the common room, carrying the skunk.

Raven walked into the common room after the dilemma in the infirmary. She sat down on a chair feeling miserably sick, she sneezed and suddenly gotten the chills.

Oh god I hope I'm not getting sick Raven thought to herself rubbing her arms to get herself warm. To her the common room seemed horribly cold and it felt impossible to get warm. She thought maybe if she got some rest in the dormitory she would feel better, if not then she would have to go to the infirmary again to get checked up on.

Raven entered the common room after her walk throughout the Forbidden Forest with Alex. She sat down on the couch and lit a fire in the fireplace with her wand and faced Alex.

She sighed and smoothed out her robes and asked, "So what do you want to talk about?"

She looked into Alex's eyes waiting for her answer. She was in her relative mode when she felt the warm breath of the fire hitting her cold skin.

Alex sat down from the chair across from her and smiled at the fire she lit up in the fireplace.

"Well, we can ask each other questions and try to get to know each other. I'll start first, what is your favorite color? I would have to say that my favorite color is orange and yellow."

Raven looked at the younger slytherin and was asking herself why is she being so open towards her. She then shook it off and answered.

"I would have to say green and purple." Raven thought to herself about what question she should ask and hen said, "what is your favorite food? Mine is a salad with French dressing."

That was the best Raven could come up with. She never felt so awkward with another person before, being so open with Alex made her feel awkward in a sense. She thought if it was a good thing opening herself up to other people, maybe a start of healing and recovering what damage that had happened in her past.

"Well my favorite food is pasta! I love Italian food!" Alex smiled and looked at the time. It was pass 1 and she looked back at Raven.

"It was nice talking to you," Alex yawned, "but I think it's time for me to head off into bed, we can chat some more tomorrow in the Great Hall!" Alex stood up and smiled at Raven then went straight up to the dorms and fell asleep.

Raven listened to what Alex had to say and stood up when she did, "ok then I'll meet you down at the Great Hall, night Alex."

Raven also went up to the dorms and fell asleep.
