Kiara lead the way to the trophy room casting locking charms and and silencing charms as she went. Not wanting any students ro walk in on them.

Sighing she said in a almost defeted tone "Well go a head let me have it" to the two other heads.

Madame Lasharna was tempted to indeed let her have it, but instead decided to allow her follow Head to speak his mind before her. That however did not keep her from glaring sharply at the younger woman.

((Hey cool she is letting me speak first, how nice if her lol))

"But before you start, I didn't want the 2nd champion from Hogwarts just as much as either of you. And I did nothing to the goblet by my oaths as a wizard" a blue glow surrounded her as to finalize the promise.

"So you say," Kazimir huffed, looking rather unconvinced to the first of Kiara's statements.

"If she say it then it is true. She vould not lie about something like this!" Sevastyan defended, conviction and warning in his tone.

"I have little faith a... someone like you.... is eqvally saying anything vorthvhile to believe," Kazimir spat to the other Russian despite Kiara's warning earlier. At least he didn't call Sevastyan a traitor, though he'd wanted to terribly. "And if you remember, Headmistress, I inspected the goblet for myself and had surprisingly found nothing wrong. This... skill globe, Boris tells me vos part of the test... is it directly linked by magic to those who may submit their names?" the Headmaster asked.

Kiara's eyes darkened that had to be it, the glode was the loop hold to age restriction, it had to be. Even if Ana had walked in as her self it have still let her.

"It is... it is how it pervent anyone who didn't take the test unable to enter....."

"But wouldn't have done anything to effect the selection of the chapions" Kiara said.

"Zo you zay." Lasharna muttered. "How zos ve know zat you diz not waz itz zat vay?"

"Because the second champion's father is going to murder someone if something happens to his daughter and no one in their right mind would knowingly allow an incident such as this one to occur." Viper replied in an irritated tone.

Kazimir bestowed a barely-contained glance of venom in Viper's direction. "I agree vith Madame Lasharna: how are ve to know that this globe vos not set up this vay? How are ve to know that it vos not confounded or hoodvinked in some vay? I suggest ve re-light the Goblet of Fire and have it name an additional champion for the remaining schools! This vay it vill at least be fair!" the elderly Russian complained.

"Trust vorks both vays, Headmaster," Sevastyan growled, "You have to give a little to receive any."

"Don't lecture me - you are still but a boy!" Kazimir snapped in Sevastyan's direction. "And do you mean to tell me, Miss Viper, that the second Champion's father vould not vant his... daughter... to achieve eternal glory and not allowving her to compete? Who is to say this is not exactly vot vos planned, and somevone managed to help her be selected?"

Miss Viper? Sevastyan wondered, once again ignoring Kazimir's insult. He'd heard them all before... But never had he even thought of calling his colleague that. After all, she did hold professor status.

"Je suis d'accord." Lasharna smirked. "If ze père of zat fille zeal vas her ou, she vo not enzer." She folded her arms over her chest and glared at "Miss Viper". She had not met the young woman before, but she already disliked her... mainly because Viper had gone against her statement...

"An vos is zis enfant zuing in here?" She asked, cruelly jabbing a finger in Viper's general direction.

Kiara sent a glare to both Lasharna and Kazimir.

"Professor Viper has just enough right to be here at the two of you, she is not only potion mistress but also the Miss Vaight's Head of house. She more then enough right to be here."

Turning back to Kaximir she said. "The goblet of fire has already gone out, but if you want to try your hand at lighting it go right a head I won't stop you"

Viper glared at the other two heads. Miss Viper, infant, what was with these people? And to be honest, she didn't even know which insult to adress first.

"No, Mr.Kazimir and Ms.Lasharna. I've known her father for quite some time. I daresay he likes his daughter in one piece. As do I considering she is my student."

Taking a quick glance at Madame Lasharna, Viper scoffed. "Well pardon me, Madame Lasharna. We can't all be of giant height!" Her tone was icy and held a challenging edge, daring the woman to reply with as good as a comeback as she could conjure.

For a moment, Viper regretted not wearing higher heeled shoes. She always thought 3 inches were good enough, seeing as how it brought her to a good 5'5, but now she wasn't so sure. Especially considering she had to crane her neck just to make eye contact with the giantess woman.

Kiara tensed and readied a disaming spell if Lasharna went for her wand, or if she said something that sent Viper over the edge.

"Well at least she didn't call Kazimir, Cashmere" Kiara thought as she looked nervously at Lashanra, and a cautious glanse at Kazimir.

Lasharna visibly stiffened, but said nothing and did not pull out her wand. If this Professor Viper was ever alone in some dark hallway...Hogwarts would have to search for a new potions mistress.

Viper smirked at the older woman's silence, stepping closer to Sevastyan with an icy look and feel still on her.

Kazimir sent Kiara a look as though she were an impudent student speaking out of turn in class. Anyone that knew anything about the Triwizard Tournament knew the fire of the goblet could not be lit again until the next Tournament. If she hadn't spoken with him about her knowledge of the tournament, he probably would have thought she were being serious. "You attempt to mock me?" he inquired, voice quiet and ominous. "Since the goblet cannot be re-lit, vy do ve not just hand-select the participants to make the odds eqval?" the Headmaster suggested.

His eyes darted to the Potions Mistress as she spoke, the dark depths narrowing. This woman was the Head of Slytherin House? Well, given her surname and the reputation it held he could understand that. But still. "Are you saying that Slytherin vould not have the ambition to attempt something like this? You vould allow another House to compete for this fame?" he asked of her, knowing full well about the infamous rivalry between the Gryffindors and Slytherins in particular. It was clear that he still considered anyone from Hogwarts to be a likely suspect in the selecting of the Fourth Champion.

Sevastyan watched the exchanges with more than just a little trepidation, left hand lightly clasped around the handle of the wand in his pocket. For the most part it was concealed from view. Personally, he didn't like the looks Amaranth was getting from either of the foreign Heads. The Russian professor realized she had stepped closer to him, though he didn't fully know why. Was she seeking protection? Sevastyan knew he'd give it without question.

Though he wanted terribly to make some sort of contact - the entwining of hands or wrapping an arm around her waist - Sevastyan didn't think now would be the best time for such a thing just in case one or the other did withdraw their wands. So, to acknowledge that he noticed her, he side-stepped toward her so that their shoulders were only inches apart as they stood side-by-side. Curiosity caused him to turn his head to see the look on her face; to attempt to read her.

Instantly, Sevastyan never hoped there would ever be an occasion where he'd be on the receiving end of that look!


One look... could kill... Sevastyan silently recited a lyric from one of his and Viper's favorite songs. Inwardly, he couldn't help but smirk at the parallel. Outwardly... well, that was a whole other story: you'd have thought the man was a well-painted statue of himself set in a neutral pose if it weren't for the fact that he was breathing.

Kiara sighed "Do what you want Kazimir, for all the good it will do. None of your hand picked champions will be real one, they are not bond by the contact or tied to the cup in any shape or form. Even if one of your hand chosen wins the tournament the cup won't acknowledge them as the winner. Only the chosen champions of the cup can end the tournament" Kiara explained, "Although I wish this were not the case"

Viper shook her head. "I'm not denying Slytherins reputation. However, your insinuating that we purposely set up the under-aged second champion, which is utterly ridiculous. Believe it or not, we do care about all of our students." she replied flatly, her glare matching his.

From the corner of her eye, Viper noticed that Sevastyan had inched closer towards her, which she was glad for. She wasn't quite sure why she moved closer to him in the first place, although she was thankful she did. She was in no way afraid or intimidated by the other two heads, despite the fact she had to crane her neck to make eye contact. Yet, Sevastyan's presence still managed to make her feel safer.

Lasharna sniffed, rolling her eyes. "Hezmaser Kazimir iz right, ve do noz neez de cup." Giving Viper her best glare, which was only a level beneath, "drop dead", she folded her arms. "However, Beaxbatons vill require ozly one chamzion. It iz tradizional." She did not want to make it easier on Kiara, but her cherie was going to win the tournament...of that she was almost certain.

Viper raised an eyebrow at Lasharna's glare, shooting one right back as her left hand reached for her wand in her inner robe's pocket, clutching her fingers around it, just in case.

Kiara almost rolled her eyes, of couse it was traditional for one student form three schools should be chosen t was a Tri wizard tournament, of course try telling the stupid cup that.

Nodding her head to Lashanra, although she didn't miss the killer looks Viper and Lasharna exchanged. And she nearly sighed, she could almost hear the curses going through the 2 witches heads at eachother.

Kazimir's expression soured further. That was the whole point of champion selecting: the glory that came from being selected and the victory of competing in the tasks that lay ahead. He couldn't say he fully believed her on this count. Her statements about him being reported to the Ministry were more tangible than this, in his opinion. He likewise had nothing to say to Viper. However, his eyes did narrow as two of the three lovebirds inched closer. Dark, beady eyes jumped to Kiara, to see if she were also leaning toward being huddled in a group.

"Durmstrang vill only need vone Champion as vell. Ve vould prefer to adhere to tradition," Kazimir remarked, clearly having a change of heart and not missing a chance to insinuate that Hogwarts didn't adhere to such things.

Sevastyan sighed in irritation, catching what Kazimir was trying to say. "How many times must ve tell you that this vos not intentional?! Now, if ve are qvite done blaming the other for something ve can reasonably do nothing about..." he spoke up, irritation clear in his voice.

Viper fought back a dry laugh at Kazimir's remark regarding tradition. "That is obvious, considering your old-fashioned dueling practices." referring to the fact that a long time ago it would have been perfectly acceptable for one to hex another when their back was turned.

She wasn't suprised to see the irritation rising in Sevastyan, although she couldn't help marvel at the sight. He certainly was intimidating, especially in the heat of emotion. Under the shield of both of their robes, Viper ran a finger down his hand in a reassuring manner.
