Viper's Office

Viper let out a bitter laugh. "Brilliant! My brother is dead, the Viper bloodline is ended and the other two's alliance has extended to not caring if the other is a murderer! Yes, love, everything is just bloody perfect!"

Dracovan failed then.
Should she tell the Professor that they had been meant to keep Eglantine away? She decided against it. She didn't want to be blamed.
"The other two, professor? The headmistress and DeLanquar, do you mean?" She asked, feeling suddenly awkward.
Maybe this wasn't the time to be asking for permission to go home.

Viper scoffed. "Who else? Who else is there, Ana? Who? What other person lurks around that I can call my friend, or at the very least my aquantance? Who?" she demanded, smashing the bottle unto the ground, glass and vodka flying everywhere. "I stand alone. I walk alone. Always..."

"There's... there's... There's your Serpent army?" she made it sound like a question.
"And you've probably got loads of friends outside of Hogwarts, like my father."

Viper burst out laughing. "Yes, people who associate me because they benefit from it somehow? A young, easy-going Professor, a potions mistress, a fun evening every now and then, yes I'm dancing around a rainbow if friends." she summoned a goblet, knocking it back in one gulp.

"I'm done being an equal." she whispered. "I wasn't born for this, I was born for more, for greatness! For royalty! For dominance!"

Ana wasn't sure how to repond.
"Then show the other two that you were... That Professor Viper and her serpent army will pound them..."
She wondered if that was a stupid thing to say.
Too late now...

Viper raised an eyebrow. "Why would I trust my serpents? Especially now? What have they done for me to trust them? Assuming they would even want to join me..."

"Me and my brother would, and maybe the twins too. Rachyy might join you as well." Ana was cautious of Viper's unpredictability, and cursed alcohol.
"And as for not trustworthy, all we'd need is a chance, just to prove ourselves."

Viper scoffed. "I know my brother went to you. You were not so easy to trust him or serve him, yet you are willing to join me. Why is that? "

Ana winced inwardly.
"Because we didn't know him Professor, we barely knew who he was..."
Help guys... Should I pledge our loyalty?
"We didn't know if he was sent to trick us, I'm sorry Professor but we didn't know him. But we trust you, you're the head of Slytherin... and we prefer you to the other two... by far."

Viper raised an eyebrow skeptically. "Why? Because I let you do whateever as long you don't get caught? Because I actually know the latest fashions, trends, and slang?"

((Night!))

Ana smiled slightly.
"Well yeah, but you're also a Slytherin...like us."
She thought she heard something outside and edged towards the door, peering behind it. The corridor was empty.
Strange.
She wondered if Viper had noticed the sound.

The corners of her mouth twitched until she heard a noise. Pulling out her wand, she asked. "What was that?"

Ana stiffened. "I don't know..."
She moved her hand casually to her wand, safe in her pocket.
"So Professor, I came to ask permission for myself, Darien, Amy and Aiden Avalon to visit my home, this weekend...Would that be okay?"
She asked, changing the subject to a less suspsicious one.

Viper nodded absentmindedly, her head spinning with thoughts. "Do as you wish." she waved her hand, signing the needed paperwork.

"Thanks Professor." Ana smiled and turned to go.
"Bye."
She kept an eye out for any movement as she went down the corridor.
What had made that noise.
We have permission.
Good. Darien replied. Meet us back in the common room, we need to pack.

Viper entered her office and ushered the serpents in, castiing wards and spells that not even Merlin could penetrate to ensure their privacy. "Ms.Vaight, do you recall the offer you made me before you left?"

"Yes professor..."
I kinda offered our services as serpents... She thought to the others.

"Hmmm interesting, " Amy thought. As she waited to hear what Professor Viper had to say.

"Does that offer still stand?"

Does it, guys?
"Yes."
Ana glanced at the twins out of the corner of her eye.

Viper turned to the twins, awaiting their response, for if they planned to withdraw they were well advised to do so now.

"We are with you Ana"

Amy and Aiden nodded.

"Yes it does"

Viper smiled softly. "Good." she walked behind her desk, observing her reflection in the mirror at the white bangs, a stark contrast to the raven of the rest of her head. "These past few days have been very favorable to me. I now know the next step in dominance and revenge. Are you willing to take a field trip?"
