Viper's Office

Kiara growled she was tempted to do it anyway, to see if Viper would go through with her threat.

But she opted for a wandless Langlock curse instead, she had had it with Viper's new and improved lousy queen of the world (hehe) aditude.

Viper glared as she felt her tongue cling to the roof of her mouth, opting to use her hands and fingers to express her anger as she attemtped to reverse the spell with a potion.

"Thank you Severus Snape for showing me that curse" Kiara muttered.

It took a minute before Viper managed to get free of the curse but when she did, she made no effort to hide her displeasure.

"Is this what I get for trying to protect my students? What happened, Kiara, I thought that was your main priority: the wellfare of the students!"

"It is, that is why I suggested the wards but not in the context you were suggesting, that I treat her as a evil criminal which she isn't. I refuse to treat her in such a way when it isn't her fault"

"I wasn't suggesting anything. I was kidding! Sweet Circe, everythings a crime now in this castle!" Viper exclaimed, sipping at her goblet.

"Stabilize... to protect the students. So I am dangerous and you fear me." Eglantine was retreating, giving Cerise more and more control.

Viper scoffed. "Why would I fear you?" she smirked haughtily. "I merely fear the lawsuit that may fall on poor Kiara's head should you do something foolish."

"You might fear me because I easily killed that boy...Dracovon was his name wasn't it." Eglantine chuckled. "The look on his face was priceless."

Viper stiffened, but refused to show her true emotion. Instead she shrugged. "No, you see, I should be thanking you. Your assistance made certain spells much easier." she waved her hand, wandlessly conjuring a globe of cursed fire holding it in front of her.

Kiara looked at Eglantine in shock.

"No Eglantine don't let her loose... please, if you let her out only you can lock her back up again "

"Oh that is a relief!" she smiled. "After all I always hated the idea that killing him might ruin our relationship." Looking at Kiara, she raised an eyebrow.

"You really must stop that, Kiara." she stated in a patronizing tone. "I do not need you to tell me how to do anything."

Viper sneered. "What relationship? The one where I hate you as much as you hate me?? Where you're jealous ofme? Jealous because I've lost nothing, I'm younger, I can't feel pain while you constantly live with it?"

She laughed coldly. "She's right, Kiara. She doesn't need you bossing her around. She needs to be locked up in the loony bin."

Eglantine's eyes flamed red. "Oh I wasn't referring to that relationship, Viper." Her voice was different, as if another woman had suddenly began speaking. "I was referring to the one you were destined to have, with Lord Voldemort."

A strange mist began to wrap around Eglantine and it cleared quickly revealing that Eglantine had been transformed into Cerise, a young woman with brown hair and a willowy body.

"Hello." she stated calmly, rising from the wheelchair. "I am Cerise. The shards of my father's soul combined with my mother's mind and blood."

Kiara cluechnched her fists the blue phoenix fire spreading around her again.

"Fine, Cerise I won't tell you to do anything" she sneered waving her left causing fire to appear around Cerise.

"What do you plan to do huh?"

Viper shook her head. "That wasn't my destiny. That was my lesson. I learned how to succeed as he had failed. His weaknesses are now my strengths. And you are nothing but a mouse being circled by this Viper." she said as the fire she controlled grew bigger and brighter, forming into a massive sphere of dry ice.

Kiara glance at Viper, so that was it... she wanted to take over where Voldemort had left off.

"Of course....I am such a fool" Kiara muttered to her self and turned her attention to Cerise.

Eglantine let her out aside form killing her there wasn't much she could do. The seal was still there Eglantine simply had to use it, if she was still in there that anyway.

Cerise feigned hurt. "So you think you can take my place?" She laughed, a terribly hallow sound that filled the room. "Fine, then two can play this game." Wandlessly she broke the ice, stepping out to face Viper.

"Give me your best, you usurper." She hissed, brandishing a long black wand. Strange markings were engraved along its slender sides and it almost seemed to move on its on volition. "But keep in mind. I am Lord Voldemort! I am Eglantine DeLanquar and I am Cerise. Can you defeat all three of us?"

Kiara started coldly at Cerise, she was going to talk to the real Eglantine the ,even if it killed her.

"Do what you want Viper I won't stop you this time..... give her hell"

Seeking out the seal of light still inside Eglantine, is was her magic it linked them together somewhat. Hopefuly she could enter her mind though it easier then the first time. Her and Eglantine relationship was damaged terribly but she had to stop Cerise first and worry about betrayal later.

Blue fire encircled her again as she sought entrence the Cerise/Eglantine's mind.

Eglantine did not allow Kiara to enter, wards almost overwhelmingly strong blocked the younger woman from entering and made it clear that the seal had been broken. There was nothing holding Cerise back, Eglantine had released her with no reservations. It had been planned... Edwin was safe in France with Esis and she had nothing to worry about besides her son.

Sweat gleamed on Kiara's forehead and her tempareture rose even higher and tears ran down her face as she continued to seek entrence dispite the wards blocking her way.

Projecting her thoughts into Eglantines mind she hoped to at least be heard.

"Why did you let her out Eglantine huh? Why? I trusted you to keep her there to ignore her. Do want her to roam free and kill us all? That is what she will do you know..... That is if Viper doesn't kill her. I don't understand Eglantine I have always tried to be there for you, I have risked my life for you. So you a least owe me an explination for this. Why you want us all dead!!"

The wards strengthened even further, but thoughts slipped through for Kiara to hear. A jumbled rather disordered bunch of thoughts.

...You have so much potential, Sweetbriar... The voice was deep, obviously her father.

...I am very disappointed in you, Miss Rosier... A woman's voice, perhaps a teacher or instructor

You can't leave me! Eglantine's own voice, sounding much younger, maybe only a child.

What if I gave you more, Papa? Eglantine sounded older but still young

He loves you...you should know that, Lenty... The voice was Edmund's, deep and powerful.

Aren't you lovely! Another man's voice, rich and velvety with an obvious French accent.

I do not want power! Eglantine's voice, this time sounding normal.

But you have it...take it! the thoughts began to combine and merge making a strange mixture that finally resulted in several voices speaking a single word that was woven into a sentence.

I... will... make... them... pay... for... everything! And as the thoughts retreated, Eglantine pushed Kiara from her mind.

Kiara dropped to her knees her black hair hair was now sticking to her forehead, heart was racing and her eyes were glazed over due to fever.

"Everything..... After everything we have been through, it meant nothing? "

Flashes appeared infront of her eyes, memories sine the day she first encountered Eglantine Delanquar. From there first meeting in hogwarts in her office, to the first time they put trust in eachother. Confided in eachother so many time, All the worry the pain, the support and it came down to nothing? Eglantine just throw it all away?

Angry at her self and at Eglantine Kiara gathered her thoughts all her memories of her time with Eglantine and charged one last time to Eglantines wards.

In the core of her thoughts was "Was this all for nothing Eglantine?"

Eglantine allowed Kiara to enter her mind this time. A rather still forest clearing appeared to represent her mind and Eglantine sat in its centre.

"I am too weak, Kiara." she whispered. "I could not restrain her any longer. The seal broke and she consumed me." tears leaked down her cheeks.

"You must hate me for what she has said to you and made you believe. But right now, I can defeat her." Eglantine rose from the soft grass. "Would you please take care of Edwin? Do not tell him about how I died. I want him to be like his father. Not like me."

Kiara shook her head

"You want him to be like his father you do it. I am not going to give you a confort in letting your self die. Cerise isn't you Eglantine she can be defeated if you believe it is possible. You can live through it, you have lived through worse, you wil get through this to, don't let Cerise tell you otherwise"
