My Office

Kiara's mouth opened for a breif moment at the mention of all the marriages but she quickly recovered.

When Celeste took her hand for a palm read Kiara sighed, she knew something, or she would not be doing it.

At the mention of the new man in her life Kiara raised her eye brow. "Guess you could say that yes, just recently" she said her tone neutral.

She did however take her hand back.

Celeste laughed. "I hope this shall suffice as my job interview then. You can be assured than I am fully qualified for this post."

Kiara nodded "Oh course, the post is yours since you want it"

Even though Kiara had she doubts, she told her things that already transpired. not that she cared much about predictions...

"Were you a divinations student yourself, Kiara?"

Kiara truthfully shook her head no, "No I wasn't, it was one thing thing that never really struck my interest at school. Why do you ask?"

Celeste stiffened at Kiara's admittance, though she still forced a smile upon her face. "I see...well, things may change." This time, Celeste's smile came more naturally. She made it her new goal to make every member of the Hogwarts staff adore Divination as much as she did.

Kiara shruggle "Maybe, or maybe not, the future is the future, to me and I will deal with it in the presant, not before" she said making her opinion known as well, as if to changlange Celeste's startment.

"Anyways what can you tell me about your self" kiara asked to keep the converstion going.

Celeste shrugged. "What would you like to know?"

Kiara thought for a moment "Umm any family? If I may ask?"

Kiara walked back up to her office, almost dreading the chaos inside with the paper work she would have to do but it needed to be done.

Walking in and pleasntly surprised to find not so much or not as much as she thought the would be. She mentally thanked Eglantine and Horatio.
Opening her window to let fresh air inside and a wonderful veiw of the quidditch she got to work.

Reginald Vaight's eyes gleamed with a fire not normally seen so close to the surface.
He was mad. Irked. Livid. Furious.
All at once.
He had a hitlist, and unfortunantly for everyone on this list, his favourite child weasalling her way into the Triwizard was making him livid with fear for her safety.
After such an embarassing first-born in Darien, he was not going to allow this goblet to endanger his daughter.
And he was going to take this out on everyone related to this misunderstanding.
Starting with Kiara.

"Headmistress." His voice was cold, colder than the ice at the core of the poles. He barged straight into the study, without knocking. His eyes gleamed sharply with anger. This Triwizard tournament had messed things up before.
He was not going to let it do so again, if it endangered Ana's life.

Kiara looked up from her paper work and tensed Mr. Vaight wasn't exactly the person you wanted to anger, and here he was in her office glareing at with a ton of it. She could only think of one reason for it, Ana being in the tournament. Knowing this would happen sometime she waved her hand and locked the door. Wouldn't due for someone to interupt.

"Mr. Vaight, you are here about Ana I expect.. I am sorry I can undersatnd you are angry" she said there was little she could do eexeot wait for him to say what was on his mind. She shivered at the thought of what that would entail.

Reginald chuckled. "Oh yes, I am angry. Very very angry."

His eyes bored into the Headmistress' and for one second, he was calm.

The stillness before the storm.

Then the iris shifted, and the flame of flint that burned in the centre of his eye was exposed.

His anger pounded through his blood, rushing through him like adrenelin. His facial expression hardened and so did his stance.

Reginald was livid. For the first time in years.

Feeling that sitting down in front of the angry head of the Vaight family would be her little good Kiara stood up lessing hieght difference drasticaly.

There was little for her to really say to make him less angry, and even less that she could do.

She a little wary just how far his anger would take him but he hadn't taken his wand out yet... so far so good.

She met his gaze.

"You know there is little I can do Mr Vaight, your daughter willingly and knowingly entered her name into the goblet, why it choose her as a champion has yet to be discovered. But she is now bond to the tournament and must compete, she passed the knowledge test same as the other entents, she quite advanced for her age Mr. Vaight she should be able to hold her own. Or would not have passed " Kiara explained.

"We can only hope your test was not as flawed as you and the other heads' control of the goblet." Reginald snapped.
"Ana is barely more than fourteen, she cannot possibly be allowed to enter. Just don't let her compete. I understood that was your responsibilty as Headmistress, but perhaps I should ask a house elf in the kitchen to look after my children should they undertake any dangerous task instead!"
He paused. "And whilst I agree Ana is advanced for her age, she cannot be expected to compete against foreigners far older! If it was Darien, I would not have a problem, but I am NOT allowing my daughter to compete in this. What a cup has to say on the matter is irrelevant. I am her father and I FORBID IT!"

((He is going to get worse...I assure you... He's just warming up...))

Seeing as how he was angry enough for the both of them Kiara remained calm stopped blaming herself for it and instead went with her first feeling blamed the goblet. it was cursed after all, in her opinon.

"You can not stop her from competing Mr. Vaight as much as I wish you could, you can't. If she breaks the contract before the tournament ends she could lose her magic, or even die. I have the staff keeping a eye one her, I am as well, we will do what we are legally allowed to do to make she is prepared for the chalenges. But other then that it is out of our hands"

"Well then maybe you and the other...headteachers...should have considered the goblet as untrustworthy BEFORE holding this Triwizard! If you three had just let it go, my daughter would not be IN DANGER OF DEATH RIGHT NOW!"

Kiara glared "I assure you Mr. Vaight I was more then willing to for go the tournament, I wasn't even suposed to be held at Hogwarts this year. If the problem at Drumstrang hadn't taken place it would be held there right now and Ana wouldn't have gotten the chance to enter. I was the Ministry the forced Hogwarts to take the tournament this year. And they did so without consulting me. I had not choice in the matter."

Reginald's venomous glare was full of anger.
"Well I am still amazed that you did not notice my daughter attempting to enter the tournament. Is security that poor around here?"

Kiara flinched, she didn't know the reason the cup accepted Ana's name as the wards were perfectly fine, it shouldn't have happened.

"She disgused her self a her brother, Mr Vaight at the time I did not know."

She still felt guilty for that it should have been taken into account despit what Ciaran and Sevastyan said it was still slightly her fault.

"Well perhaps next time you should not make it so simple for her to outwit you."

Reginald's voice was cold. His fury still smouldered, but now it was cooling slightly, ready to burst into flame once more at the slightest provocation.

Darien...If he'd entered like he should have, none of this would've happened.
That boy had always been such a disappointment.

((Aww...*hits Reg* mean Reg.))

Kiara sighed but held her head up, "it was not supposed to be easy for her to enter Mr. Vaight, the actions of the cup are unexplainable. I don't know why your daugher was able to enter it should been impossible, for some reason the wards let her. And as for the cup choseing her name your guess is as good as mine, she is the 4th champion in a triwizard tournament it should not be possible. But the magic in the cup made it so..."

If it was possible Kiara hated the cup even more now...

"And who was responsible for these wards? If the cup cannot be trusted surely you should have made every effort to block anyone underage from getting near it. I was under the impression you could form wards that would do so...But perhaps I was misinformed."

Reginald glared more fiercely at the Headmistress, daring her to respond.

((Oh yeah, he went there...))

Kiara glared, Oh he was NOT going there, if there was one thing she knew how to do it was wards and there was nothing wrong with her wards.

"There is nothing wrong with my wards Mr Vaight, I can show them to you right now"

Waving her hand she summond the spell layout she had writen her self for the wards on the goblet. They were perfect, on matter what expert he brought these to they would honestly not find a thing wrong with them.

"There is something wrong with the cup Not my wards!!" she snapped.

"Well then maybe that problem should have been fixed a long time ago!"
Reginald replied raising his voice slightly, the cold tones edged with the fire of fury.

((Oh lord, I'm getting all metaphorical...Fire and Ice...*slaps self* I have serious issues.))
