My Office

Eglantine sighed, "Well that is the best news I've heard all day."

Kiara looked down for a moment, "She was quick to point to her finger at you, to quick as if she had it planed out before I got there. so yes I think it may have been her...."

"Why would Professor Viper kill the woman? Do you think she is making a horcrux or something?"

Kiara shock her head "I don't know her reasons if it was indeed her that did it, Other then her hating the women by her own admitence. I certianly hope she isn't making a horcrux, it seems to much like Voldemort tactic."

Eglantine nodded. "If it was Professor Viper, which I am not saying it was, then my guess would be that Hermione Granger-Weasley would be next..."

Kiara nodded "Possibly...."

She sighed, the facts were none existence and they were going off of feeling alone.

"We will keep a cautous eye out, and watch her closely, until we know what she has in mind"

"Agreed." Eglantine nodded. "It is never wise to base one's theory on feelings alone...of we could end up hurting an "innocent" woman. And as much as we both deeply care for her, neither of us wants to see her killed..."

Kiara nodded "I have some investigation to do anyway, I want to fine some more out about this Charity McDoogle, see who would a motive to kill her. Besides the face they just didn't like her."

Sipping her tea Kiara looked back at Eglantine "Anything else on your mind?" she asked.

Eglantine sighed. She was almost compelled to confess about Excessum, the wand...but remained silent about it.
"After the Triwizard Tournament, I will need to take a day off. With your permission I would like to visit Esis and Edwin in Nice." she lied, easily bending the truth to suit her needed situation. After all, Kiara, would find it strange that she was going to see her father...

Kiara nodded "Of course it can be arranged, when ever you want after the tournament" she said.

Eglantine smiled, guilt rising in her mind. She had already lied to Kiara about Madame Lasharna, and by withholding the information about the wand, she was lying and now this...

"Thank you." what else was she going to say.

Kiara sighed in relief when she entered her office, every joint and mussel in her body was shearing as a result of the curciatus curse. It had been getting harder to hide it from Eglantine in her quarters.

Walking over to her cabinet she opened it and pulled out a pain relief potion.

She downed it in one swallow and relaxed as it did its job. She would have to take them for a few days until the side effects from the curse left her system. She only had a few left so she would have to make more.

"It is never easy" she said as she made her way out of her office. She had a case to form.

Kiara walked into her office and her mouth droped, her office was filled with books. Not just any books the entire Lestrang library, some of the darkest book in the wizarding world were just sitting in her office.

Kiara groned, "Wonderful" she said sarcasticly.

Conjuring boxes she began shrinking the book and sorting them into boxes.

Looking over the titles she sorted them based on dangerous level.

Kazimir walked, with the genuine help of his staff today, to the Headmistress's office. He had a few suspicions and a nagging question on his mind, and he was going to get some answers with as much discretion as possible... which, given Kazimir's track record, varied upon the situation from complete and utter secrecy to absolutely refusing to mince his words.

Noticing the door was open, Kazimir didn't bother to knock this time and strode on in. If she didn't want to admit visitors, she wouldn't have left it open now would she?

The Durmstrang Headmaster blinked with surprise at the sheer amount of books that were scattered everywhere. A quick glance at their spines indicated the genre, though there were several that Kazimir needn't have identified for he owned copies of the same tomes that were in similar condition. "And here I thought, according to your letter, that you did not approve of the Dark Arts, Headmistress...?" Kazimir spoke the semi-question with the distinct air as if he had sighed while speaking, his low bullfrog-type voice making the comment sound a little... ominous.

Kiara glared at the Drumstrang Headmster as she placed a roll of shrunked books in to a box.

"I don't approved, just becasue these books are in my owership doesn't me I approve of them... and don't think I am ignorant of them either Kazimir.... You got my letter then, that is why you are here I expect?" she said not all that surprised at his sudden appearnce.

"So you say..." Kazimir trailed off, the tone neutral. "And yes, I did receive the letter, and the potion. I... suppose I should thank you for the second item." Thanks always preceded what one wanted as a gesture of courtesy, and so he bowed only slightly to physically comply with the custom. Now, to weigh his next few words extra carefully...

"If I may, I do have one slight qvestion about your signature: I noticed the name Lestrange, and as familiar as I am vith the members of this family, I do not recall a single 'Kiara Lestrange'. Might I inquire as to how you acqvired this surname?" Kazimir asked, having an assumption already in mind that she was likely married... and married to Daniel - one of Kazimir's favored students - for that matter

Kiara eyed Kazimir for a moment, figuring he already knew what she was going to say she said "I was married to Daniel Lestrange once, 6 years ago, You knew Daniel from Durmstrang I assmue" she said placing the last of the books labled as "deadly" Into a box and mumered a spell, the box vanished or at least appeared to vanish.

"Other then the fact I share a name with a former student of yours.... I don't that is the only thing you are here about"

"Yes. He vos one of my most favored students. I... noticed his obituary in the paper, and had heard from other sources about the circumstances of his death. It is curious, how these things happen," Kazimir replied, clearly fishing for a hint or two.

"You vould be correct," he replied to her last statement, the tone almost falsely courteous. "I do not mean to be callous, but... precisely how did he die?" Kazimir had some of the facts, and a few suspicions that he'd shouted at Sevastyan during the private portion of their duel, but he wasn't about to reveal his sources or his knowledge into the matter any time soon.

Kiara regarded him for a moment, "Great his favorite Student huh.... another reason for him to go after Sevastyan"

"Daniel Lestange tried to kill me Kazimir, there was little choice but to kill him first. He died as a result of self defense, it was unavoidable"

She waved her hand and more books shrunk and floated in to a box. Slowly the books in the room cleared out.

"Now I ask you again, other then questions of my ex husband's death, what do you want? Perhaps to explain why you attacted one of my members of staff in the middle of the night?" she asked she sent him a glare, she was still remarkably unhappy about his attack on Sevastyan.

Well, that certainly made things interesting. Kazimir did not peg his favored student as the insane, murderous type. Unless Daniel had been goaded into attacking his ex-wife... surely, even though an ex, the fact that Kiara was seeing someone new could still have the potential to hurt. Especially if that someone happened to be a foreigner... like Sevastyan. "How unfortunate he could not have been restrained... my condolences even if it vould seem you vere no longer vith him at the time of his death," Kazimir offered courteously.

The Headmaster's countenance soured from its formerly pensive expression. "As I said: ve had unfinished business. But how do you now he did not attack me, and that I vos not the vone defending myself? Do you know much about him, about vot he vos like before he put on this mask of goodness for this school? Vith all due respect I do not think you have all the facts in this matter," he retorted, glaring in kind.

"But I do vonder... about vy you are defending him so? How you could know vhere he is and ven or even IF he vill be attacked? But I suppose you vould say this is none of my business. Vould I be correct?" Kazimir asked, a rather sinister grin crossing his face now. If he was right in that she would tell him to more or less bugger off, he would suspect; but on the other hand, even if she did explain, would he still suspect?

"To be fair, I'll provide perhaps a more reasonable qvandary: the voman that vos vith you at the Astronomy Tower... is she skilled in the Dark Arts by any chance?" he inquired.


((Kazimir speaks w/ Viper shortly after he's done here, and has no idea what her name is... so Kiara shouldn't provide her name. ^_^))

Kiara shook her head at the mention of him being restrained, "He was restrained the first time he attacked me. He unrestrained himself and came to me in a murderous rage...."
Kiara said as she stood in front of her desk

"I do know of Sevastyan's previous involvement with dark arts, yes. That doesn't change the fact he has been nothing but kind, respectful, helpful to everyone here. He isn't a traitor either, I can tell he is very proud of where he comes from. Him being here isn't a matter of loyalty. As I recall he asked you for a job at Drumstrang first didn't he? and you turned him down. I am defending him because he is my friend, that's why. And as for how I will know how he would be in danger.... well that is for me to know and you to find out isn't? How do you know I am not bluffing? on the other hand can you take the risk I am not?"

She paused at his question about Viper, she didn't want him going to Viper in a rage either, he would most likely figure out if had been Viper that cast the Curcio on him. THAT wouldn't go over well.

"I believe that is rather personal and not with my right to tell you that sort of thing" she answered.

"I turned down his application for vone position - the position formerly held by a man and friend of his named Petrov. He could have chosen a different field than something so... tempting... as teaching that particular subject. How vos I to know he vouldn't pick up vhere Petrov left off?" Kazimir countered wryly.

He contemplated her words thereafter, looking rather put out at not knowing whether or not she was bluffing. For someone so young, she certainly had a decent poker face when she needed to call upon it. "A challenge then, to see who is bluffing..." was all he'd said, not sure whether he should call the bluff or heed the viable warning.

"Very vell. That is all I came to ask. Vith your permission, I vill take my leave," Kazimir answered, clearly grouchy at not having gotten the direct answers he wanted. But, he still had a few good ideas... perhaps when the Headmistress had sufficiently cooled down he may try to find out more about this 'friendship' she had with Kaminski...

Kiara nodded "Yes, good day I will see you later"

Once Kaximir left Kiara sighed "I really wish I could drink right about now...." she said tiredly.

"Perhaps I should brew some dreamless sleep potion, at least get one full night sleep without seeing them would be good"

Horatio knocked on Kiara's office door, humming happily some long forgotten tune.

Kiara looked up wearily at the knock.

"Come in Horatio" she said trying to sound normal.
