Entrence Hall

"Quick, we've got to hurry! We have to be there early, or all the relatives will see us arrive, and probably kill us both."
Darien, where are you?! People are ariving, just get to the nearest Floo, pronto!
Darien racked his brains. "Uh- where's the nearest fireplace?"

"Er..." Diana was stumped. Where was the neearest floo network?"

Darien swore.
"Merlin's- right, lets just um..."
He swore. "Quick!" He flung open the doors to the grounds, and began to run.
"We'll have to apparate."

"You can apparate?" Diana said incredilously whilest being dragged by Darien.

"Yeah." Darien shrugged, hurtling towards the edge of the grounds. "At Durnmstrang they train you a bit early, then file the passes later, when it's legal. When we get out of the grounds, just hang onto my arm."

"Okay," Diana said grasping his hand tightly. She didn't really doubt that Darien could apparate on a normal basis but she seemed very agitated right now. "Are you alright Darien?"

"Yeah...Just a minute."
He took a deep breath in. Without another word, he turned on the spot and felt his way into the darkness, holding onto Diana's hand.

((To Vaight Manor))

Diana was brielfly aware of how chilly it was before she felt like she was pulled into the great abyss.

((Vaight Manor!))

Esis came running into the Entrance Hall, glasses and hat askew. "Oh thank goodness." she breathed, gently taking a nodding Edwin from Eglantine. Patting Eglantine on the shoulder, Esis hurried back toward the rooms.

"Are you all right, Kiara?" Eglantine asked, not missing that the Headmistress appeared to be suffering from her time in the water.

"H..ow yea..h cold water doesn't like me or don't like it, p...probably b..both.....(hiccup)don't worry just a c...chill. I..I will be fine" Kiara studdered.

Rubbing her arms.

Eglantine was not convinced, but feeling light-headed herself, she merely sighed.
"Be sure to rest, Kiara..." she suggested.

"You b..be s..s..sure to do that to Eglantine, you had been looking for E...e,,edwin all day, you need rest t..t..to.." said Kiara.

A tall all man with dark hair and stormy blue eye walked in to the enternce hall of hogwarts.

"I still can't believe they made her Head of Hogwarts" he grumbled as he looked around for anyone to take him to the Heads office.

Viper walked down the hall with an indifferent look. She noticed a man lingering in the entrance hall, but chose to ignore it, assuming it was merely another irate parent. Although she certainly hoped for her sake he wasn't looking for her. Her day was going fairly well, having had no classes to teach. She didn't want anything to spoil it.

He saw a woman come into the entrence hall and walked over to her, bowing sligtly he asked.

"Excuse me Madam, I was wondering if you could point me to the direction of the Headmistress's office" he said headmistress with pure distane.

"My name is Daniel Lestrange by the way, my I ask what yours is?"

Viper raised an eyebrow. Lestrange? She thought to herself as she scanned him quickly. He didn't appear to be that much older than herself so she didn't think he was a parent. It was by the way he said Headmistress that it hit her head that it was most likely a blast from Kiara's past. Or a sexist who hated the thought of a female heading Hogwarts, although she highly doubted the later.

"Amaranth Viper. Kiara's office is down the hall on your left" she replied neutrally. She found it odd that he did not know his way around the castle. "Did you not attend Hogwarts when you were younger?"

Daniel shook his head "No I attended Drumstrang... and a Viper huh? A honor to meet you Miss Viper and thank you"

With that said he bowed again and turned to the direction of Kiara's office.

Viper glared. Miss Viper? Well her mind was certainly made up. She didn't think too highly of that man. No matter who or what, she always hated being referred to as Miss Viper. It always made her seem empty and unaccomplished...

"Darien stop. Now!"
"What now Ana? We don't have time to mess around!"
Ana rolled her eyes. "What are you planning to do? Knock on the door then barge in and declare her pregnant?!"
Darien glared at his sister. "We have to do something!"
"We have to think!"
Darien glanced around. "Where's Diana? She doesn't agree with Nick does she?"

"I don't." Diana said nursing her hand. She'd slapped Nicolas harder than she originally meant to.

Darien breathed a sigh of relief, and went to hug Diana but was stopped by Ana's outstretched arm.
"Can we save that until after we've devised a cunning and brilliant plan to save Calista in..." She glanced at her watch. "About fifteen minutes."
"That's ages to devise a plan! Come on Ana, take your time."
Ana rolled her eyes. "No Darien that is how long until the court case is officially closed and the verdict given. Allowing five minutes to the edge of the grounds and apparating time, then another five to get into the ministry and down to the courtroom..." She winced. "We really need a plan now..."

Diana bit her lip. "I don't know if it's such a good idea barging in there just like that."

"Exactly! We need a plan!"
Darien rolled his eyes. "We don't have time!"
Ana glanced down at her watch. "True, but we also need a plan!"
"Well think of one!"
"Shut up then!" Ana massaged her temples, scanning her possible ideas...
"Um...injunction - nope...last minute evidence-protocol...possible... We could pretend we were blackmailed into not giving evidence...that could count!"
"Yes lying in court bodes well for her survival doesn't it." Darien hissed sarcastically.
Ana pouted. "It isn't lying until someone finds out."
"Look, can we move here!"
Ana sighed. "Okay, we rush in and claim the right of free speech."
Darien paused. "Do I still get to blast the doors open?"
Ana closed her eyes. "Yes...But what's Diana's plan..." She glanced at her watch. "Two minutes...Plan Diana...please tell us...now."

"I don't know," Diana said. "I don't really have one... If we walk in there like this... they'll just say it's a pair of Vaight's trying to save one of their own."

"Even with me there. If I know my Grandfather, he won't let them count what I say... he'll say that I'm under a spell or that I've gone mental and therefore shouldn't be taken seriously. Nick's really the only person who might be able to talk to him... if he wasn't such an idiot!" Diana matched the last word of her rant with a kick. "I can't believe I'm related to him!"

"I second that. But we have to try."
"Agreed." Ana nodded. "And if worst comes to worst, we start a war and run." A grin spread over her face. "That could work..."
"Yes, and our families dying would be an unfortunant side effect." Darien rolled his eyes. "Now come on you two!"
He began to run. "You'll both have to cling on to me...Side-along and all that."
Ana opened her mouth to argue, but Darien interupted. "We need to end up in one piece and the same place, side-along is easiest."
He extended an arm for Diana to grasp, while Ana held his other wrist.
