Kiara's lips parted slightly, His wife died of the dragon pox... this was becoming so freaky. Kiara's eyes fulled with the same saddness

" I am truely sorry to hear that Mr McConn, I more then anyone knows what it is like to lose someone to illness. I am sorry"

Ciaran nodded. "So, if you pardon me asking, you lost the bairn to the pox as well? And your husband?" he wasn't sure if that was a proper question to ask, but Professor DeLanquar had mentioned that Kiara was single and Horatio had hinted, four times, that the Headmistress was not married...

Kiara blinked, "Umm well yes I lost my daughter to dragon pox, as for my husband, he left me because of it..." she said.

Trying to turn attention away from the topic of Daniel she asked.

"How old is your son?"

Ciaran's eyebrows knit together at the thought of her husband leaving her for their child dying. He and his wife had lost three children before their son had been born, and the thought had never crossed their minds to abandon the other... must have been a foreigner, he decided, although he had heard of nationals doing the same.
"He'll be 9 soon. Looking forward to coming to Hogwarts, he is. Wants to be a Gryffindor like his Da, or maybe a Hufflepuff like his ma was. As long as there is auror training at the end, says he." Ciaran chuckled.

Kiara laughed " He seems to have his whole life planed out already. I must say when I was 9 i had no idea what I would do after school. Then aganin I had no idea Hogwarts existed until I was almost 10. You were in Gryffindor then? My we have a lot things in common"

"An unusual amount of things in common....." she thought.

"Aye, so he does." Ciaran nodded. "When I was young I wanted to be a fisherman, like me da. But, then I got me letter. Both parents were muggle, so Tav has a certain advantage." He chuckled. "I've been noticing the similar... but me uncle pointed out a lot of things we be having in common. You like animals, so do I. You are not very good a Quidditch, I never joined the team. You were an auror, I still am..."

Kiara nodded " and you can add muggleborn to the list, both my parents were muggles as well..." she said.

"You like animals.. now if you have a magically bonded Phoenix this is just beyond weird" she added.

Ciaran mouth almost fell open. "You have a Phoenix as well? There's something a bit odd bout this. I have a male Phoenix, call him Tam. Yours?"

In response Kiara held out her arm and Saturn flashed on to is.

"Female, her name is Saturn, she is a blue bread, been bonded since I was 14. She has saved my life on more then one occasion"

Then she thought of something.

"Tell me were invited by your uncle to come here or had you planed to visit before hand?" she asked.

She and Ciaran had way to many things in common for this to be a coincidence.

Ciaran scratched his head. "Now that you mention it, lassie. I don't rightly remember. Me Uncle sent me a note to meet him at Hogsmeade and then he dragged me here. He said he had a wee bit of a headache and then rushed off. Professor DeLanquar then brought me up here. I'm a bit still sorting it out, I guess." he wrinkled his forehead. "They planned this, didn't they?"

Kiara nodded "Oh I certainly think they did...our names even mean the same thing, but I am not mad about it. Are you?" she asked with a smile.

Ciaran stood. "Of course not. I've met a lovely lass who me uncle is thinking is right for me." He winked at her, laughing slightly. "What are we to do now?"

Kiara blushed slightly before laughing as well. 'Well lets see just how good our match makers are shale we? Join me in the great hall for coffee or tea?"

"Sounds lovely." Ciaran smiled, offering his arm to Kiara. "Now I understand what Horation said to me. He mentioned something about me not being on the staff."

Kiara nodded and accpted his arm "He did, did he... someone has been chating with Eglantine." Kiara laughed again.

"Looks like the pair I have been helping get together, are now helping us" she said in amusment.

Ciaran chuckled, "So, your match making has back fired? Horatio and that Professor, you be pulling me leg." he exclaimed. "The two have as much in common as a cat and a dog."

Kiara laughed again "I know, but there was something there to start, i just helped them out a little. I find they compliment eachother, sometimes opposites attract eachother you know"

"Aye, so they say." he agreed, opening the door.

Viper sighed as she knocked on the door. After seeing Madame Lasharna's pride and joy in a state of complete hysteria, Viper was positive the French Headmistress would conjure a storm-possibly litterally! So, for once, Viper decided to be nice and give Kiara a heads up.

Kiara looked and waved her hand and opened the door.

"Come in Viper" she said.

At Kiara's response, Viper entered with a small smile playing across her face. "Good evening, Kiara." she greeted pleasantly.

Kiara raised her eye brow and smiled, Viper say something plesantly? some thing must wrong, that or she wanted something.

"Good evening Viper, anyrhing I can help you with?"

"Well, your promise not to blame me for anything would be lovely." Viper stated as she barely kept back a laugh. "My Slytherins may have done something...irksome..."

Kiara raised her eye brow even further,.

"What did they do so bad you have to tell me?" she asked almost afraid to know.
