My Office

Darien bit back a growl.
"Unfortunantly."
He wished he could make his eyes as cold and emotionless as Ana and Reginald could, but his anger, frustration, hatred of Nick and resentment was clearly seen.
"As fun as that sounds, I don't think the wolf likes horses that much."

"Mr. Vaight there are more then just horses at hogwarts. I am sure you can get alone with at least one of them... can you see Thesrtals Mr. Vaight?" Kiara asked regaining control of her temper.

"I couldn't before."
Darien's temper broke.
"But I think I'll be able to now."

"Very well, I will see in the stables next weekend, Thestrals are not like other winged horses. I think you will get along, Although the hippogryffs maybe a problem but we will see.."

Looking up she said "You are dissmissed Mr. Vaight and I strongly advise you to not go near Mr. Casillas's horse. I can always make the amont of points and duration of the detentions much larger."

"I'm sorry Professor for being late," Nicolas barged into the office.

Kiara nodded ”Very well Mr. Casillas things should be resolved for now"

Eglantine knocked timidly on Kiara's office door. The gargoyle was not letting her enter and she was already upset enough without its annoying need to ignore her presence.

"Kiara! It is most urgent!" she pleaded, banging her shaking fist against the door. "Edwin is gone, I can't find him anywhere!" Her entire body was shaking in the wheelchair, the magic holding it up had weakened greatly and the wheels actually touched the floor, making it difficult for her to steer it.

Kiara looked up feeling the urgant presence at the door. "Eglantine?" she whispered.

Turning the 2 students she said. "I need to go for now I am afraid, Mr. Vaight don't forget about your detentions, and Mr. Casillas I will speak with you later. You are dissmissed"

Then going to the door Kiara commaned the Gargoyal out of the way.

"Eglantine what is the matter?" she asked.

"Edwin is missing. I attempted to find him with magic and Esis is looking all over the castle for him." her words ran together she was speaking so quickly and her voice was barely above a whisper. "He somehow left the room last night and I'm afraid..." she let the sentence hang.

Kiara's eyes widened, it was every parents nightmare.

"Okay Eglantine take a breath and try not to panick, it will be no good if you hyper-ventelate." She tried to keep the worry out of her own voice,, hogwarts though a school, was no place for a unattended toddler.

"We will find him Eglantine, don't worry.."

Then she paused an idea forming in her head. Turning to the portraits of all the former heads of Hogwarts she said.

"Headmasters and Headmistress's of Hogwarts there is a child missing in Hogwarts, go throught out the castle and tell everyother portrait you come aross to look as welll. He will be easy to recognise, he much younger then the rest of the students, only a baby a toddler."

As if an alarm went off all the portraites woke up and left all but one.

"Sev?"

"I don't baby sit anymore" he sneared.

"Sev please, I will stop calling Sev if you do"

Snape rasied his eye brow, "Really? Do I have your word?"

Kiara nodded "Of course...Severus"

"Very well but this is the last time...." he said as he left his portrait.

Letting out a breath Kiara turned back to Eglantine.

"There are some places Portrait can't go, we will look there, and I will get the ghosts to look as well. We will find him Eglantine"

Eglantine nodded, wishing she believed Kiara.
"What if he has found a way out of the castle?" she insisted. Already every method of finding the child had failed, including a thorough magical castle search.

Darien rolled his eyes at the Professors and he turned on his heel and stalked out of the office without another word.
The last thing he wanted was a month's worth of detentions with threstrals that would constantly remind him of memories he was trying to forget.
Memories of his mistake.

Kiara sighed, she found it hard to imagine how a two year old could manage to get out of Hogwarts. The main entrance door were huge and quite heavy after hours with out a professor to open them.

"The only way I can think of is if someone let him outside..... Did anything happen last night? Any reason as to why he would leave your rooms by himself?" she asked she she made her way to the door intent on starting to look for the child.

"We will search outside, just in case he managed to get out alright?"

"No nothing happened. Esis and I went to sleep. She woke me up at 2 to tell me he was missing." Eglantine was calming now. Her many years of long used patience was finally setting in.

"Alright.. Lets start out side" said Kiara heading outside

((Castle grounds then...))

A dark owl flew through the window, a note clutched in it's beak.
It read;

Dear Headmistress Kiara,

Sincere aplogies for the delay in sending this note, but I have had a great deal to organise and I am ashamed to say it slipped my mind. Please would you be so gracious as to excuse my daughter and son, Ana and Darien Vaight and permit them to attend the family duelling competition? I believe they have also invited the Avalon twins and a Gryffindor, Diana Casillas. I would also request that you permit Darien to attend in particular, and if he should miss any of the detentions I am sure he has managed to be given, I assure you he shall make up for it by doing three times the amount of detention he would have missed.

P.S. I have also invited Professor Viper, an old family friend, but I trust she will not be needed on a Saturday when there are no lessons. If this corrupts your plans in any way, I am most humbly sorry.

Bella Rosier knocked on the Headmistress' office door. Of course with a single glare, the gargoyle would have probably leapt aside, but she didn't want to be rude.

Kiara jerked her head up at the noice at the door.

"Oh great (hiccup) a student is here, and I look like am on deaths door" she mumbed.

"Come in....." she said.

Bella entered and promptly fainted.

Kiara blinked and got up, " You know how to make a enterence"

She bent down and cast a revival spell.

Bella opened her eyes, and immediately groaned. She had smacked her head against the stone rather hard. Maybe Severus was trying to kill her...what was he thinking trying to send her information while she was walking? The idiot.

"Sorry, Headmistress." she stated smoothly, rising to her feet. "I wanted to make sure that you didn't hold against me what my family did..."

Sighing tieredly Kiara shook her head.

"No Miss Rosier, I don't hold grudges for family actions, is that all you were worried about?"

Bella smiled. "Oh I wasn't worried, Headmistress. I just wanted to make sure." clearing her throat, she sighed.
"May I have a glass of water, please." after all she had fainted only moments before.

Kiara nodded "Yes one moment" she said as she waved her had and summoned and jug of water and conjured a glass.

Pouring some water in to glass she handed it to the student.
