My Office

Viper knocked on the door three times, waiting for Kiara to answer.

Putting the disturbing letter she had been reading down Kiara waved her hand opening the door.

"Come on in Viper"

Viper entered. "Kiara." she greeted as she took the seat in front of Kiara. "I trust all was well while I was away. I know we did not get a chance to really talk earlier."

Kiara nodded "Oh you the usual around hogwarts, shoeing winged horses out of the library, baby sitting, becomeing worried out my mind, the works"

Then smiling she asked "So did you manage to get things straighend out?"

Viper shrugged. "Not much to straighten out. My parents already knew Dracovan had died before I arrived. It was simply a manner of explaining to them why he, like the rest of my siblings refused to return as a ghost."

Kiara raise her eye brow, she had not known Viper had other siblings but she didn't comment.

"Hmm so what do you want to talk about then?"

Viper shrugged. "I'm curious. How is she really doing? Was Esis just being a cousin or was she being truthful?"

Kiara sighed, "Eglantine's been going up and down it seems, somedays it looks like she is finally getting better and then she plumets again. It is that damned fever, makes her hallucinate, freakout and send any energy she had."

Viper nodded, examining her nails. Her trip to the Chamber of Secrets had chipped off some of the black nail polish she normall wore. Waving her hand, she summoned her bottle of nail polish and began to repaint them.

"It's ironic isn't it? The moment of peace we thought arrived and it seems as though we're worse off than before."

Kiara raised her eye brow again as shewatched Viper paint her finger nails acting as if they were talking about the weather.

"Yeah.. I supose so...."

"but I am glad there is no dark lord to worry about any more though"

Viper fought back a laugh. "Of course you don't, Kiara." she said as she brought her hand to her mouth, blowing her nails gently.

Kiara blinked there was something different about Viper and not just the change in hair. She seemed almost happy since she told her of Eglantines illness.

"Err are you alright? you see different since you left"

Viper looked at Kiara. "Of course. Why wouldn't I be? It has been hard, of course, with all that has happened but I am a Viper. I daresay I will survive."

Kiara nodded but she still had a odd feeling, there was definatly something different about her, and she wasn't sure if she liked it.

"I didn't have any doubt about that Viper, was there anything else?"

Viper thought for a moment before smiling brightly. "Indeed. I'm using a new eyeliner! Can you tell?"

Kiara's jaw nearly dropped, as she looked at Viper. She sounded like one of them high school girls from her muggle high school.

"Errr No I can't tell Viper" she said as Saturn flew in and sat on her shoulder.

"Was there anything important?"

Viper smirked and burst out laughing at Kiara's reaction. She was certainly getting a kick out of messing with people today!

"No." she managed between laughs. ""Besides my ghost-mother attempting to slap me there was nothing significant."

((sorry had homework to finish))

Kiara didn't really now what to say, Viper was acting weird, stranger then usual.

"Right.... err Why did your parents become ghosts anyway?"

Viper shrugged. "Fear, I suppose. Knowing all that they've done I'd be scared to go on myself."

Kiara sighed "I see" she said as she petted Saturn and started glowing from bluish flames.

Noticing this time she tuned the flames down, "Sorry it has been doing that lot recently."

Viper raised an eyebrow. "Indeed..." not knowing to fully react to that or what to say afterwards.

((Psst kiara is reacting to the Basilisk, she just doesn't know it ))

"Anyways was there anything on your mind?..."

Then as a after thought she added "Besides your make up?"

((ah, ok. Got it.))

Viper thought for a moment. Should she dare reveal her secret? She deicded she would, so later on it wouldn't seem like she was hiding something from Kiara.

"I got a new familiar." she said as she snapped her fingers, summoning a gorgeous black python. "Drakon." she said as the snake coiled around her waist, resting its head on her shoulder.

Looking at the snake blue flames appeared around her again. And her eyes momentrily flashed with a blue glow as well.

Shaking her head the flames died down again.

"He is a beauty Viper. Where did you get him?"

Viper petted Drakon's head gently. "He's descended from my eldest brother Leviathon's familiar Medusa. I found thei nest when I was at Viper Manor."
