The Third Floor Coriddor

Darien felt the claws connect and jerked away, returning the swipe. he landed on three paws ans began to circle the leopard slowly.

Nicolas hissed at the wolf and tried to scratch him again.

Darien leapt high into the air and plunged down towards the leopard, fangs bared.

Nicolas leeped up, his claws ready and forward.

Darien flipped, landing just out of reach, spinning around in a wave of claws, swiping at the leopard's head.

Nicolas roared in pain. He rolled out of reach and bounced off the wall, right at the wolf's back.

Darien leapt forwards and skidded round, facing the leopard.
"Its a wolf-eat-leopard world out there little boy...and it's dinner time."
Darien launched himself into a run, flat-out along the corridor.

"Whatever, s'long as I get Diana." Nicolas roared and stood his ground.

Darien picked up speed, nearing his destination. At the last moment, he flipped onto his back and slid forwards, hind legs slicing upwards into the leopard's face.

Nicolas was barely able to swerve on the side, he avoided most of the damage but he got hit pretty bad. Angry, Nicolas jared his teeth and went for a bite on the upper fleshy part of the wolf.

Darien howled in pain and swiped with both paws, blows to either side of the leopard's head.

Nicolas was hit by one claw but was able to avoid the other. He growled, "Forget her Vaight, she's mine."

"Says the one bleeding from the head..." Darien grinned wolfishly, snapping at Nick's ear.

Nicolas roared and tackled the wolf.

Darien rolled over onto his back, kicked the leopard in the stomach, and rolled sideways, leaping upwards and away from the leopard, landing about a metre away.
He snarled and lunged forwards again.

"What is going on here?" Professor DeLanquar asked, unmistakable puzzlement and anger lacing each word. "You will both transform back into your human forms and answer me!"

She was hovering above the ground in a high-backed wheeled chair, her hands neatly folded in her lap. Still her glare had lost none of its potency.

Nicolas transformed first.

Darien skidded to a halt and swore.
He leapt away from the leopard and changed smoothly back to human form.

"Now explain, please." Eglantine said softly, the energy used in yelling already tiring her.

"He made me lose control! He's been telling lies about Diana!" Darien spat.

"I see." Eglantine glanced over at the other boy. "And you are?" she asked, having not seen him before.

"Nicolas Casillas," Nicolas said trying to get up. Which turned out to be a mistake. "I was merely informing him of important news about her. They weren't lies. None of it."

Darien snarled.
"In your mind, Pony-boy."

"Just wait until tonight and everything will be finalized." Nicolas threatened.

Darien snarled. "You see Professor! He just keeps on trying to offend me!"
