The Third Floor Coriddor

"How long have you known her Vaight?" Nicolas gloated. "Weeks? Months? I've known her for ages. I think she values my friendship more than your little romance."

"Let me think..." Darien smirked.
"Since I crashed your little ball in Spain."

"I figured as much." Nicolas said through gritted teeth. "What exactly do you know about her?"

Darien narrowed his eyes. "I know her."

Nicolas suddenly smirked. "She didn't tell you, did she?"

"Tell me what, pony-boy?"
Darien had a strange sense of foreboding, but he brushed it aside.

Nicolas had a big laugh. Just to drag it out. "I thought you knew her, Lobo."

"Whatever. Curri, parve eque, curri!"
He glared murderously into Nick's face.
"Neco te."

((Please note: only been learnig latin a year, don't kill me if the case/tense or whatever is wrong. It is meant to say: "Run, little horse, run. I kill you."))

"Oh Lobo's gone to threats now, has he?" Nicolas mocked being scared. "I can't believe she hasn't told you. I guess she doesn't take you seriously."

"It's not a threat, it's a guarentee..." Darien snarled.

"Is it? Well I don't think Diana's going to be too happy to hear that you killed her betrothed." Nicolas smiled at the power of his words.

Darien's heart stopped for a moment.
Anger blinded him.
Nick had to be lying...
"BOMBARDA!"

Nicolas knew it was coming and he was prepared. He quickly countered the exploding charm with a quick protego. Then he cast one of his own, "Tarantallegra!"

Darien cast protego non-verbally and the spell richocheted off his shield.
He felt the wolf stir within him and began to visualise a wall.
"Incendio."

Nicolas was able to dodge the spell. He did a turn and threw another one. "Waddiwasi!"

Darien blinked as the spell bounced off his shield.
"Are you ever going to hit me with your 'spells' Pony-boy? Let me show you how it's done. Sectumsempra!"
His wolf howled within him, and he didn't bother to knock it back.

"Salvio Hexia." Nicolas shouted just in time.

"Only if one of yours hit me." Nicolas gloated.

Darien snapped. His control vanished and he dropped his wand, where it rolled to the side of the corridor.
A moment later, he was a wolf. He bared his teeth, summoning his human voice.
"Come on Nick, aren't you man enough to fight without a wand?"

"Funny you should say that Vaight," Nicolas said. "Coz' when you left, I did my homework."

His upper body started to grow fur and within seconds, there was a leopard in Nick's place.

Darien rolled his wolf eyes.
"Nah, I thought you'd be a pony...or maybe a mouse. And by the way, I've had about eight years to perfect my fighting. I am a wolf. Do you really think you stand even a chance against me?"
His claws scraped on the floor, and he prepared himself to pounce.

"We'll see how good of a perro you are." Nicolas mocked, showing his teeth.

He balanced his weight on his hind legs prepared to attack.

Darien relaxed. This was his favourite sport.
And he was very good at it.
He shut down all human thought, apart from the strategm-planning part and a sliver of conscience.
This was going to be funny.
He growled, leaned to the left and then the right.
He planned out his strategy...and began. He balanced on his hind legs and howled as loudly as he could.
Still balanced on his hind legs, he leaped forwards into a viscious roll, a ball of fur with all claws extended.
Nick had better run... Or he'd get torn apart.

Nicolas roared and leeped as Darien attacked.

He landed on the other side of him. Nicolas looked at him lazily, mocking.

Darien merely grinned. So he likes to jump does he?
Darien lashed out with a leg, followed by a bite.

Nicolas roared as Darien's teeth sank into his flesh.

Nicolas clawed across the chest.
