Hospital Wing

"hmm.."

She got up a bit shakily, and waited for a Dizzy spell to pass.

"What is you sisters name?" she asked tiredly.

"Odessa. Odessa Deepwell." Viper replied as she stared into the hospital wing where her unconscious sister lay with Eglantine closely nearby.

"Odessa?"

She heard that name before, from when she was at hogwarts as a student.

She looked over at the women on hospital bed "what house was she in at Hogwarts?" she asked.

Viper sighed. "Hufflepuff." she answered.

Kiara looked at Viper in shock,

And then back at Odessa. "I knew her... I had no Idea she was a Viper though. She was 2 years a head of me at hogwarts"

Viper stared stunned. She definately wasn't expecting this."Were you two friends?"

Kiara shrugged "More or less, we were on first name basis, but she was two years older then me and in a differant house. I never seen her again after my third year"

Eglantine stared down at the younger woman, mulling over all that Professor Viper had said.
"Why was she attacked?" she asked. She had pulled a chair over by Odessa and now sat in trying desperately to stay conscious and alert.

Viper nodded. "She left the Magical Community after her 5th year. As for why she was attacked it is most likely because she holds Viper Manor intact. It has her named as Lady of the manor, making it useless for Lord Voldemort."

Odessa began to lightly stir.

Kiara managed to walk over to Odessa's bed before she collaped to her knees.

"Dessa? it's Kiara, your at hogwarts"

Odessa's blue eyes fluttered open. "K-Kiara? Wh-How? i-" realization hit her. "Oh, god, where's Amaranth? Where's my husband?"

Eglantine attempted to rise to her feet, but remained in the chair. "Are you in any pain, Mrs. Deepwell?" she asked softly.

"I- my chest stings, but- wait, who are you?" she asked rather confused.

Eglantine smiled gently. "I am Eglantine DeLanquar, a professor here at Hogwarts." She accioed a potion from a cabinet and glanced down at it.
"This should help your chest pain." she stated, asking for permission to give her the potion.

"Hogwarts I-" she paused as tears started started cascading. "Oh god, it wasn't a dream was it? Steven? STEVEN!!!" she cried out.

Eglantine set the potion down and carefully rose from her chair. She was unsure of what to say or do, after all, she had been on the other side of this before. The nurse who had informed her of her husband's death, had hurt her worse than any injury could have.
She looked over at Kiara.

"Please!" Odessa begged. "Please tell me it isn't true!" she wept bitterly. "Tell me my husband's just outside waiting for me!"

Kiara sighed and shock her head.

"I am so sorry..... "

Odessa screamed as she dissolved into tears, drowning in her grief. Viper stayed at the doorway looking slightly nauseous. She turned around so she wouldn't have to see Odessa's weeping form, for it brought back too many dark memories.

Eglantine bit her lip as she turned away from the bed. She barely had enough strength to keep her upright, but with her cane and a burning anger that was building, she was able to cross the room.

"How were you able to save your sister? And how did it come to your attention that she was under attack?" she asked softly.

Viper's emerald eyes filled with tears of sympathy for her sister. In a shaky voice she answered the other Professor. "The moment you witnessed, when Lord Voldemort and I were in an....embrace? Before that he was telling me that he had sent a few others on a mission. I was trying to persuade him to give me details on the mission. After a few moments of persuasion he informed me of his attack on my sister. Said I should be honored that he is helping to purify my family tree, rather than punishing me for it. I made my excuses as soon as I could and apparated to her cottage. I was too late. All I could do was take Odessa's stunned form here with my portkey...."

Eglantine's eyes narrowed. "I do not believe you." she hissed.

Viper stared at Eglantine with a blank look and a voice dripping with sorrow as she stared at her sister's weeping form. "Forgive me, Professor, but I have bigger concerns than whether or not you like me." she stated blankly as she engulfed her weeping sister in an embrace.

"I'm so sorry, Odessa." Viper said sympathetically.

Odessa nodded, tears still pouring down her face. "Please leave." she said softly.

Viper looked taken aback for a moment, before nodding, obliging her sister's wishes and exiting the hospital wing.

Eglantine looked after Professor Viper as she left the Hospital Wing but did not follow.
"Do you remember anything that happened?" she asked, seating herself in the chair again. Talking might help the poor woman sort out her mind.
