Hospital Wing

Mae laughed slightly, realizing what she said, "No, I meant the protection, the school is pretty much safe." She shrugged, "We're on 'lock-down' I guess..." she trailed off.

Ana groaned. "I hate being in lock-down. It's practically house arrest...And that sucks too." She stood up and opened the drawer next to her bed. "Ah-ha!" She held her wand ready in one hand, then, remembering lock-down, replaced it in a pocket. "So now what? We sit here and wait for him to kill us all? Although..."
Ana suddenly remembered she was a Slytherin, and a pure-blood. She remembered Darien.
"I could always join him if the worst comes to the worst."

((I got bored waiting for a program to load))

Kiara jerked her head up in alarm at what Miss Vaight just said.

"Don't think for a moment you will be safe if you join him Miss. Vaight" she said forcefully.

Pausing she took a breath, her lungs had started to feel rather tight, but after a moment it vanished.

Taking a different approach she turned to Miss Vaight again.

"Do you want become someones slave Miss Vaight?" she asked knowing if there was something a pure blood slytherin hated more it was being someone elsese inferior.

Mae's face changed to one of pure shock when Ana spoke and she breathed a sigh of relief when the Headmistress spoke.

Throughout this whole time, Helena sat quietly on the edge Diana's bed, taking in everything that's happened but really too shook up to say anything.

"Helena, can you get off my foot?"

Helena turned around. "Diana! You're awake!"

Mae whirled around upon hearing her friend's name. "Diana!" She cried, beaming.

((Yeah, I'm back and didn't miss much!!! Thank God))

Eglantine limped to Miss Casillas' bedside and gave her a small smile. "How are you feeling?" It was uplifting to see one of her house members no longer unconscious, and she was becoming attached to her house, despite the fact that she would never admit it.
"And you Miss Vaight?"

Mae rose, and looked up towards Professor DeLanquar, smiling.
"Are we still in the 'lock-down'?" She asked, looking worried.

"Yes, but remember it is for your own protection." Then she began to head toward the door. "I believe you have classes, Miss Schultz. When ever you feel well enough, Miss Casillas and Miss Vaight you have classes as well."

And with that gentle reminder, Professor DeLanquar made her way from the Hospital Wing.
((She is now teaching her Muggle Studies class))

Mae watched carefully as Ana asked the Headmistress her questions, and a few of her own bubbled to the surface.

Kiara, as she waited for Ana to think about what she said, she entered her own thoughts.

Miss Vaight had a point what were they going to do? Other then sit around and wait. There was one option, she could step down as Headmistress temporarily and make either Eglantine or Viper an acting head. The magical wards of Hogwarts would be connected to either of their magic. Meaning Voldemort couldn't use Saturn to get inside as the wards no longer ran off her magic, and Saturn would no longer get through the wards. But the only problem was she needed to trust one of them 100% that they wouldn't betray her and the school.

She thought of Eglantine at first, she had started to think of the older woman as her friend, but she just realized she knew virtually nothing about her. All she knew was that her husband died several years ago in a car accident, and she used to travel a lot with her parents when she was younger. She suspected that Eglantine had many things in her past which were darker then she let on.

Then there was Viper, she was a wild card. Unpredictable and rather rash, it was hard to tell what was on her mind in the best of times. That and she knew basically nothing about her either.

Could she risk the lives of everyone in the school? What if her trust was misplaced? It could be catastrophic.....

Mae looked towards the Headmistress, her eyes slightly narrowed, then she sighed, "Excuse me, Professor Riddle? Can I tell you something? Something really important?"

((Are the students supposed to know your last name is Riddle or not?))

(( If your character heard Kiara explain about her last name then yes, Mae would know. but not the students that were asleep when I explained it))

Turning to Miss Schultz she shivered, Professor Riddle... that sound so wrong.

" Call me Headmistress if you please Miss Schultz, and it depends on what that Something is"

Mae nodded, "Of course Headmistress, I understand," she beckoned the Headmistress to follow her a slight ways from the others in the room. She turned, "Well, it's something about my mother, and what's going on right now."

"What is it?"

"Well," Mae began quietly, unsure of how exactly to begin, "I think my family, well mother, is somehow connected to this. You see, when I was to start Hogwarts, at first, she wanted me to attend Durmstang. And, she wouldn't tell me why, she actually, when I told her I wanted to attend Hogwarts, started saying all these bad things about you, the other professors and the school. And, I'm her daughter, yet she won't even tell me her maiden name or any bit of her family history." She sighed, "I think I'm somehow connected with this, I just don't know how."

Kiara thought for a moment, That could mean this whole thing had been planned a long time ago, she couldn't help but become a little paranoid. After all she had never been told by the school board governors why she had been picked to become Headmistress, someone may have known who she was a long time ago.

"Hmm I don't know either Miss Schultz, but it seems this whole thing is connecting all of us, in ways that can't be a coincidence"

Mae nodded, agreeing, "But what if someone wanted us to met? What if ... they want us to die?" She asked the second question slowly, not completely looking forwards to the Headmistress' response.

Kiara looked down,

"They do want us to die Miss Schultz, I don't mean your Mother, I not sure at the moment how she is involved, Voldemort does want us to die, but that doesn't mean we will."

Suddenly she felt an intense burn in her left arm.

"What the hell" she hissed as she grabbed onto her arm and pulled down the sleeve, when she did she wished she hadn't. Her face turned ghostly white and her hands began to shake.

On her arm was the dark mark, which hadn't been there before.

Quickly pulling her sleeve down, she prayed to Merlin that Mae didn't see it.

Mae jumped at the Headmistress' outburst and spotted a black mark on her Headmistress' arm.
"What in Merlin's name is that?!" Mae asked, "Is that ..." she trailed off, remembering it, "How did you get it?"

Shaking kiara answered.

"It must have been the snake bite, it has to have been"

She suddenly felt the intense need for someone to believe her.

Looking at Mae she said desperately.

"You must believe me... please I would never get it by my own choice"

((Errr I was just told the class room I am using has a class soon, so I need to go.. Sorry I will get home as fast as I can))

((It's okay. I've got to go do homework and get ready for bed.))

Mae nodded, "I believe you, although, maybe you should ask Professor Viper for some kind of potion to held the bite." She smiled, trying to be helpful, but inside, she has a feeling that the Headmistress was lying to her.

((Hey! am not))

Holding up her arm, but not daring to pull the sleeve down she shook her head.

"It isn't the bite that is bothering me Miss. Schultz. it is the thing the bite caused that is causeing me alarm"

((I'm here... Eglantine is going to come to your office soon...oh yeah and you would probably hear a few complaints from her Transfigurations class, since she abandoned them and left their assignment and homework in German on the board... and check out the Transfiguration's office to see why she abandoned them...))

Kiara tensed as she felt one of the perimeter wards go off, Someone had managed to get out of the castle. An image of a cat entered her mind.

"A cat?"

Then a 1st year Hufflepuff ((since we don't have any)) boy ((none of them either)) entered the wing.

"Headmistress umm.. we can't find Professor DeLanquar anywhere"

"What!?" Kiara asked as fear entered her heart even more.

"She just left us, we can't even read the homework on the board, it is in a different language"

Kiara took off into a quick run, at the same time she put her cloth and potion to her mouth. She hoped it would cancel the effects of her running out.
