Hospital Wing

Eglantine cancelled the Unforgivable almost as soon as the incantation left her lips and staggered back from Professor Viper shaking from rage, terror and pain. What had she almost done?
The stunner sent from Mae's wand was easily blocked by a bit of wandless magic.

((Note- Magical laws are different in other parts of the word... Crucio in America and Germany is not punishable by incarceration or death...just to let you know...))

Kiara stared at Eglantine in shock and if she had to admit betrayal. She didn't know what to do. she used to arrest people for casting that curse.

"How? Why? you of all people, why did you do that!!" Kiara yelled anger creeping into her voice.

((I know that... but Eglantine grew up and used magic in other areas of the world...))

The Headmistress's question oddly sounded familiar. Maybe because her mind was screaming the same questions at her.
"I did not do it." she pleaded. She couldn't have. She wouldn't have... But then again, the thought of several more curses that would easily defeat those around her came to mind.
"No." she pleaded again. "I did not do it." It was clear now. She could see Edmund's thoughts begging her to help him, trying desperately to grasp onto her mind. Once she realized it, Eglantine easily sent him reeling. He didn't fight her, merely cursing in several languages as he fled her mind.
"Well, that could have been painful." she said, relieved.

Kiara watched Eglantine closely after her out burst and began to see familier signs of a different unforgivable. Eglantine seemed just as confused and horrified by what happened as she was.

"The Imperius curse?" she asked she didn't take her aim off Eglantine however, just in case.

Using her other hand Kiara wandlessly locked the door to the hospital wing. Then using her link to hogwarts she locked down all student commonrooms No one could go in or out.

"Yes." She sighed. "Or a variation of it. I have put my mind barriers up though. He will not be able to control me again." Eglantine fought the urge to scream. How could everything have ever gotten worse?
"Are you going to kill me now?" she asked softly, tossing her wand at the Headmistress's feet. She was dead serious.

Kiara bent down and picked up Eglantine's wand. She looked in to her eyes, that was the main clue to mind control spells, the eyes of the victim glaze over. Eglantines eye were clear and alert now.

Tossing her wand back she said

"No, what kind of question is that I am not your Executioner"

Suddnely she herd a screack from the hospitle wing window. an Eagle owl flew inside with a familier red evenlope. It sharp talons aimed directly at Kiara.

"Stupify!" Kiara yelled at the owl causing it to drop to the floor.

"Stupid bird..." Kiara said as she picked up the blood red enevlope.

"Ah look.... Tom didn't want me to feel left out" said Kiara, sarcasam thick in her voice.

Eglantine caught the wand and chuckled at the Headmistress's statement. Of course the situation was very serious, but she needed to bend a little or she would crack and go mental.

She limped over to the owl and levitated it to see it better. "It is my brother's owl. I suppose this along with the letters confirms my family's part in this bloody affair. But how do we prove that Lord Voldemort has indeed returned?'

Kiara regarded Eglantine and looked at the letter in her hands. Bitting her lip she tor the envelope opened and read the contents. However instead of bursting in to flame like the rest, hers morphed in to a snake.

Kiara yelped as the snake bit her, she dropped the snake and took out her wand.

"Confringo"

The snake burst in flames and vanished.

"Ouch..... I think THAT maybe a good hint that my dear old Cousin is alive, for the third bloody time!!"

"Goodness." Eglantine already pale, merely stared at where the snake had been. "Are you all right, Headmistress?" she asked worried.

"One second"

Said Kiara as she looked at the bite wound. it bit her yes, but for the life of her she couldn't figure out if it injected anything in her or not.

" it is very odd, I can't detect any venom but it put something in me, I don't know what it is"

"May I see it, please?" She asked, stepping forward.

Mae watched closely, but still paced back and forth, she knew the protective wards would hold but she kept a watchful eyes for anyone.

((I'm only on for a bit, school soon...)
((Pft, school now. ))

((I will not be on for the next 12-14 hours... I have to stay at a friend's house and they do not have internet))((Very sorry)) ((so here are a few things Eglantine will do to help everyone skirt around her... she will examine and be unable to find what is wrong with Kiara's bite... and from then on, until I return, be silently observing everything that goes on...))

Darien...Darien...
His name was spinning round Ana's head. There was something she'd overlooked... Something just out of reach...
DARIEN!
Bright torchlight welcomed her back to consciousness, and the really strange scene.
"What the-" Her head spun, sharp pains attacked her from all sides.
A voice broke through her mental barrier, tearing and disrupting her thought.
Why wouldn't you listen? Darien's voice... But...what?
I warned you. You can't blame me for your stupidity. The voice was fading.
"Darien!"
Memories were flung to the front of her mind and the pressure was gone. The eagle...The letter...
Ana buried her still-closed eyes in her palms. How could she have missed such a clue? Such a warning...

Kiara turned when she heard Miss Vaight screem, her brothers name if she remembered correctly. She wasn't exactly sure what to say to the girl however. In the light of recent events the hole world had been turned upside down for all of them.

"I am not sure if I should say welcome back the land of waking or aplogize Miss Vaight" she said as calmly as she could.

"There are not many things happening right now that you couldn't have seen in a nightmare"

Ana raised her head from her palms.
Her eyes, to her annoyance, were slightly damp.
"Darien...He was in my head... He warned me, but I didn't realise... He said he'd come and visit..." Ana's eyes widened with horror.
"Professor...I think my brother has joined Voldemort."

Kiara's became alert when Ana said "He was in my head"

"He isn't in your head anymore is he?" she asked looking into her eyes.

((I have to leave in a bit, sorry...School stuff))

Ana paused.
"I don't think so...No. He's gone...What's going on?"

((OK, have fun lol))

Mae looked curious, but remained where she was, still alert, her eyes flicking between the doorway and the Headmistress, who now stood by Ana.

Kiara sighed.

"Exactly what you said Miss Vaight, somehow Voldemort has retured, someone at Drumstang Must have found away to bring back the dead. Heaven knows why the first person they think of to bringing back to life is Voldemort,"

(Okay!)

Mae made her way towards the Headmistress and Ana, she has heard of Durmstang before ... her mother had wanted her to go there when she was first told about magic. But instead, Mae had chosen Hogwarts.

((I have an idea with Mae being orginally signed up for Durmstang...))

Ana blinked several times, trying to digest the information.
"Voldemort's...back? Oh great." Ana swung her legs over the side of the bed, wincing as pain seared across her back. She twisted her wrist experimentally and grinned. Good thing she healed quickly.
"Where's my wand?" She noticed Viper's wound and the Headmistress' bite, eyes flickering to the ashes on the floor.
"What the- What happened? Who...?"
Her voice trailed off.
"He's not...alone...is he?"

Mae shrugged, and turned to Ana.
"No, you see, Professor Viper was attacked, but luckily, she was able to get the intruder before he got away. She was going to the Ministry you see, but she never got out of the school. Also luckily, the Headmistress has it under control," she whispered in an undertone to Ana, still unsure of how much information she should give.

"How exactly can anyone have the Dark Lord Voldemort 'under control'? Give him detention? Send him to his dorm?" Ana hissed back.
