Heart's Haven (October 2039) *Purger Residence*

Charles and the others popped into existence within the well lit chamber room of the DeLanquar residence. Roughly, Kiara was dragged to a chair and all but thrown into it. An assortment of muggle devices ranging from knives to ropes were laid out for obvious reasons and a large tub of water stood of to the side. Moving to stand behind Kiara, Charles set his hands on her shoulders and pushed down, forcing her hands to be crushed between her body and the chair.

"Double begins now." he whispered.

The sharp snap of a whip cracked through the air. Like wolves circling a wounded deer, the purgers prepared to fall upon Kiara.

Kiara's jaw tightened and she glared at Delanquar...

"You won't win... I will never beg you of all people for anything.... least of all death" she swore. No matter how bad it got... she would never ask for death... as long as her family was alive... she would fight...

She closed her eyes and took a breath... prepareing for her hell on earth....

There was no reason to torture her... no information they wanted... just the pleasure that Charles gained from watching her shiver beneath his large hands.

Once upon a time he had desired the woman's mother and over time that lust had morphed into a desire to break her. After Eglantine had escaped his every design, he had changed his focus to her daughter. They had little in common when it came to physical appearance. Kiara's dark hair and blue eyes were a stark contrast to Eglantine's blonde hair and green eyes. The daughter was taller and with a fuller figure than the mother. Yet, they both shared a beauty each her own. While Eglantine's had been the dainty ethereal beauty he had wanted to see stained, Kiara was the dark eyed forest nymph who's spirit he longed to break.

She would suffer and he would put his words and thoughts into her mind. That proud woman of yesterday would whimper and sob at his feet and he was willing... yes willing to grant her mercy then. She wasn't purely evil and he knew it... knew he himself was far more Damned than she. It was not her manner of doing that had made her Tom Riddle's daughter. But she had sided with those who were to be purged...

He smiled as the first snap of the whip met the thick material of Kiara's robes. Joy in sadistic delight rose within his heart as the barbed line ripped the fabric and exposed white skin. Foam like the blood pooled in its line and in a stream ran to stain further below the wound. Again the whip struck and he kicked the chair, forcing Kiara to fall without her hands to catch her.

The whip cut into bound hands as well as her back... Totally immersed in the sight before him, Charles did not notice his youngest 'daughter' flinch with every stroke.

Kiara didn't dare open her mouth.. for she knew she would scream.. the first strick had been the worst... she had bit her lip so hard on that one she drew her own blood....

Slash after slash after slash... after a while she back felt burning hot and tears streamed across her face.. and she let out a whimper after some time.....

But then her back started to feel numb... the whips felt like adding streams of heat... weather this somewhat of a relief was a good thing however she doubhted.

Likely so many cuts opened on her back.. covered in blood... in pain... adding more cuts didn't seem to make a difference now..

She shuddered at the thought... like going to change to something else next.. and she wasn't sure she could hold back her screams.... for something worse...

She tried to focus on something more pleasant....

"Ciaran..."

It took over five agonizing minutes for the whip to hang limply in its master's hand. With near care, it was coiled and tucked away into a deep pocket.

Charles easily lifted Kiara from the floor with one hand, holding her aloft by the hold he had on the front of her robes.
"Ask me to stop..." he whispered.

Nodding to the purger with the whip, Charles set Kiara back into the chair and untied her hands briefly so as to tie them in front of her. It was hardly an act of kindness as it allowed the wooden back of the chair to press firmly against Kiara's badly torn back.

A chain magically appeared above the chair and two purgers moved forward to hook it under the bonds holding Kiara's hands. It moved up until only the tips of her shoes touched the floor.

Kiara knew she was hardly in a position to moak... but besides her life what had she to loose..

"Stop what?" she rasped out

She notably winced when her back pressed on the chair back and a shot of new sring went through her body...

To her shame she let out a sob when she and the chair was lifted slightly...

Charles pressed a gloved hand against her bloody back.
"Your pain." he murmured, signaling for the potion the other man held in his hand. Taking the black liquid, he tipped it over Kiara's wounded back. Hissing and spitting the acidic potion dripped over the whip marks.

It had a hallucinogenic effect as well... and as soon as it hit Kiara's blood stream her worst dreams would suddenly seem tame compared to the horrors that would reflect before her glazed eyes.

"I can make you long for death..."

Kiara was about to tell him what he could do with the abitity to stop her pain, when the potion made contact with her whip marks.. she there wished she could move her hand to clamp on her mouth to alteast smother the scream...

However with her hands magicked together she could do nothing but scream in agony... pure pain entered her body... it made the wiping she recieved feel like a mere kitten scratch....

For what seemed like a eternity she screamed until her voice was horse and she was about to pass out... when she started to hear other screams.... they were jumbled at first but then she saw someone she knew... and it made her heart sink and start to constrict painfully....

Edan and Rossa... she could see them... being tortured to death.. mercilessly... then the real kicker... the one that made her blood run cold... She saw her self doing the torture.... she became ... what she most denied that she was... evil...

More came Horatio, Edwin... Tav.. and even those who had already died... Sevastyan Ethan... Juria... ... All of them....

But Ciarans really hit her int he heart... she could see the hurt and betrayel in his eyes.... yet also love and guilt....

He kept Apologizing to her..... on his hands and knees.... Then as much as she wanted to make her self stop she witnessed her self Kill Ciaran in cold blood...

Kiara screamed again even louder... in the worst pain that she ever experionced before..

Her screams were music to his demented mind. As if to listen to a great composition, he closed his eyes and sighed softly. He knew by now she was hallucinating... her fears danced before her eyes and he smiled. Muggles missed out on so much.

Her sudden heart-wrenching scream sent shivers of desire and delight up his spine. Approaching her dangling body, he touched her back, pouring the secondary potion over the area, now red and enflamed from both the whipping and the acidic potion. This would none to gently yank her back to reality and partially heal the wounds.

He wanted to keep her alive. His plans for her were far from finished.

With her blood on his fabric encased finger, he gently caressed her face. She was beautiful; especially in pain. Her blood appeared sanguine against unflawed cream flesh. He pulled his hand from the glove and touched her full lips, smirking as the blood from her teeth stained his finger.

Lust filled him and he roughly pulled her face to his; kissing her savagely.

The images of her loved ones faded quickly into a mist... and she just wasted to sleep right then ans there... maybe if she went to sleep she would wake up to find it have been a nightmare.. nothing more...


However... she was jerked out the blissful on set of sleep by a unusally touch. She eyed Delanquar, what was he doing? whatever it was... she had a bad feeling.

Then as he advanced on her she went to panic... No.. anything but that .. anything!

"No.. " she said despereate enough to say it and trying to resist... however being tierd down that was mighty difficult...

"Noooo!..."

His lips muted her scream of panic, cutting it off even as his hand wrapped around her slender neck. He devoured her, tasting her blood and mouth as one might a succulent fruit.

To the side, his son, Zachary stiffened as he watched his father kiss the woman. How could he lower himself to touch her; much less show such lustful desire. He glanced toward his mother's cloaked form and felt a twinge of pity for her. He deeply loved his father, but for him to show such obvious feeling for another woman in front of his faithful wife was too much... well almost too much.

Charles released Kiara, letting her drop from his face and hands. Chuckling he wiped her blood from him and pulled his glove back on.
"Leave..." he ordered, his level gaze meeting Raewyn's. She didn't blink as she ushered everyone out.

Now it was only Kiara... his desires and the wall to hear her scream.

With a flick of his wand her torn robes vanished from her body and he appraised her bruised and bloodied form with a mixture of disdain and longing. Her bound hands separated as he cut the rope and he smiled maliciously down at her.

"Now I shall make you mine..." he murmured, reaching to unbutton his robes.

Charles scurgified himself after donning his robes and whistled for those waiting outside of the door. Two unidentified purgers entered and set to cleaning Kiara's broken battered body in preparation for the next round of torture.

Something snapped in Kiara...

"No.. Please, no" she repeated as mantra.. but her heartbroken plea fell on deaf ears

Kiara McConn felt her self break at that moment... this had pushed her further then she had been prepared to go.... and she was defenseless... bound and entirely at his mercy....

Torture. she expected she prepared her self for, she would endure it.. and death she had expected.. it was what the purgers did.

But this.... what had just happened she never thought would happen.... why why why why... she wanted to cry.... but couldn't.. she wanted to be angry... yet found she didn't have the emotional engergy to vent it.. her blue eyes were as dark as they could possible get... glazed over and dull. Ripped of the last shred to innocence and digenty.. How could she face the ones who loved her with the same eyes again? This.. How could she recover from this.... if she lived to recover at all.. Which was more the likely not.. she only hoped Ciaran never found out about all she went through this night... he didn't need to know that... Her mind was screaming in the angwish of it all...

She wanted to Die....

But she wouldn't ask... no she wouldn't ask anything of that bastered.... she would rather Suffer.... and Suffering she was....

She closed her eyes and hung her head, entering a type if sleep as her mind tried ease the pain and suffering she was in...... she didn't notice tears leak out her eyes...

A gentle cloth wiped Kiara's tears from her cheeks.
"Kiara..." the soft voice trembled with concern as the young woman draped a soft sheet over her half-sister's abused form. Tears welled in her eyes as she mentally berated her father. How dare he... but she knew the answer all to well.

She slid the smooth wooden object into Kiara's unbound hand and cast a slight energizing spell, hoping it would help. "Kiara, I'm going to get you back to your family." she whispered.

Kiara almost flinched at the gentle cloth on her cheek... thinking it was Charles back for more.. Until she heard the quiet voice and felt the wand in her hand..

"Ele..." she muttered turning her tiered dull blue eyes to her younger sister.. the sister she never got a chance to know...

Kiara's body, mind, and spirit may had been a wreck, but her magic was the only thing untainted and still strong...

Using her magic to lifted her broken body up with a wave of the wand..

"Is there anyone guarding the door?" she asked her voice cracked and dry sounding... from the screaming.

Relief flooded Eleutheria's body as Kiara's muttered a short version of her name. At least she knew who she was and seemed to be holding herself together. At least for now.

"No, I sent them to get something." she assured her. Carefully, her arm went to help the woman stand. She was worried about the whip marks on Kiara's back and though the potion had scabbed them over, they still looked painful. Transfiguring the sheet around Kiara into a loose robe, she helped restore as much dignity to her sister as she could.

"Can you walk?" she asked, her plan needing Kiara able to do that much.

Kiara sent a greatful nod to Ele for the rodes... she blocked the reason she needed them from her mind... if she thought about it she would loose all control and she would be as good as dead

Could she walk?....

She thought for a moment, "Probably not well enough... but I'll manage... a trick Eglantine used" she muttered quietly again as she floated slightly of the ground. Her tightened her grip around the wand, resisting the urge to succum to the pain relentlessly coming from in her...

She couldn't feel the whip marks on her back... it felt numb now.... now there was much worse pain she was ignoring... from her heart and soul.

"Lead the way..." she whispered, not able to speak louder as her voice was gone...

She wasn't running on much, her energy was low.. her spirit was broken... but there was still something in her that pushed her on.. even if it was just to spite Charles.... she may had been broken... but she was not destroyed. Not even close.

Waiting until after Kiara had gently levitated herself, Eleutheria went to the door and opened it, glancing down both ways before ushering her half-sister to follow her.

The bright hallway with its torches along the glass covered walls hurt her eyes and she bit her lip as she thought how much more uncomfortable the brightness probably was for Kiara.

They reached the back door without incident; since most of the purgers were at a gathering and those left behind to watch the place or prisoners had been shooed away from their posts. Still, the young witch was cautious as she unlocked the door and pushed it open for Kiara.

"This portkey will take you straight to your home." she murmured, slipping a crushed muggle can into Kiara's hand. "You'll need to pass the perimeter though... think you can do that?" Without waiting for Kiara to respond, she casted another energizing charm on the woman and took her hand, helping her out across the wide yard. It stretched ominously before them and each step was accompanied by Eluetheria's pounding heart.

The gate loomed before them and she unlocked it as well, cursing her stupidity at nearly letting Kiara go without knowledge of it.
"Be careful." she warned, fingers tight around her wand. It was amazing that Kiara had lasted this long... it would be crushing if something ruined it now.

Kiara followed her younger sister, focusing souling following her and getting out... she remaning strength was waining quickly, it was taking all her concentration to keep her self a float and upright. Merlin help her if they run into trouble..

The light of the corridor blinded her for a few minurtes and her eyes protested to the sudden change.. so with her head hung, her eyes looking at the floor she followed Ele's shadow.

The paraind part of her mind wondered if she should trust Ele.... after what if she was just getting her hopes up for escape only have them dashed at last minutes to find Charles waiting got them. But she ignored it, if she was caught she would be not better off then she had before....

"We are about to find out if I can Ele..." She muttered..

Once they reached the gate, Kiara looked at Ele, nodded her thanks... she was about to go forward when she stopped again and looked at she sister again with her tired glazed eyes.

"Want to come with me?.... C...Charles will no doubt not forgive you for.... helping me..." she whispered. Worried for the younger woman and not wanting her to be harmed becasue of her...

She has always thought well of Ele, ever since the first day she met her dispite the disapointment she felt when she went back to Charles, she would have been welcome to stay at hogwarts had she wanted. She wondered if Ele had known that... she had been misgiuded, nothing more... yet still had a good heart.

As odd as it sounded, she had expected Kiara to ask her to come with her. And her answer was already planned and prepared. Smiling, she patted Kiara's arm.

"I can't. Here I can do some good." she murmured. "Out there, all I can do is put people in harm's way." She wanted to go... to be free. But deep down she knew that there was no longer any freedom anyway. The purgers had ruined the world and the people within it; only a small handful remains good and resistant.

"Now go on. Your family needs you."

Kiara sighed it pained her to know she had to leave the young woman in the hands of the monster... but she had a point.

"I wish I had the chance to know you better... I am sure we would have gotten along.... I wish you luck Ele, and Thank you ever so much..." with that said she turned floated beyond the gate.

"No... I need them...." she said a tear rolled down her cheek.. she then activated the portkey and vanished.. returning to her family.... Hoping they didn't already think her to be dead.

As Kiara vanished thanks to the helpful portkey, Eleutheria's heart soared and she hurried back toward the back door. She planned to stun herself, since her father wouldn't check her wand and she highly doubted he would suspect her firstly before Zach, since he'd spared the Denlona children.

The door clicked shut behind her and she sighed with relied, almost safe. She turned to go down the hallway and froze. To her horror Charles DeLanqaur stood there, cold eyes fixed on her.

"Just like her sister..." he murmured. "Always have to watch you."

Her mouth went dry, but she attempted to get out of the situation by appearing innocent.
"Hmm?" she queried.
"Come here." Hurrying to do as he'd said, she felt his gloved hand gently touch her cheek in a fond fatherly manner. "I raised you." he whispered.
And she knew it and regretted it.
"You betrayed me." Her heart jumped in fear and she backed away, wand pointed out at him. Behind her she felt two of her brothers join their father. She didn't have the power to take down Charles... much less two more.

Seeing the closest open door, she dashed towards it, barely dodging the three curses aimed at her. She slammed the door and quickly rushed to the window, looking for a way to open it. Something behind her moved in the shadows of the room without her knowledge. White hot pain shot up her back and chest as something impaled her from behind. She staggered back from the window and w as caught as she fell.

"Rest well..." she heard her older sister murmur, words that had been used all her life to help her to go to sleep. "Tomorrow is a new day."

The darkness consumed her and the pain was no more. Her final thought was that it had been worth it... to give Tav, Rossa and Edan back their mother.
