Professor Viper's Personal Chambers (Located Nearby Slytherin Common Rooms)

"Not at all. She adores you. Besides, it is not like she vould be able to storm in here in a fit because of... vell..." Sevastyan glanced down briefly to make his point, a smile upon his lips even before the laughter had started.

The Russian leaned into the contact, shifting for to lay on his side and taking Viper with him seeing as how she was atop him. "Vell, Nissy vill just have to get over it, von't she?" he asked in a whisper, kissing Amaranth on the forehead before chuckling softly.

Sevastyan sighed contentedly; a quiet sound that wouldn't have been heard by anyone unless they were practically right on top of him. ((lol)) Or next to him, for that matter. "Please tell me I'm not the only vone that is glad it is the veekend," he murmured, caressing the length of her back. While lying in bed wasn't one of Sevastyan's hobbies when he was on his own, it was really the only thing he felt like doing now.

Viper giggled in response and nodded. "It'll be interesting to see her reaction when we tell her that." she broke off, laughing.

A blissful smile of happines covered Viper's face as she heard, or felt, rather, Sevastyan's sigh and his hand caressing her back. She shook her head. "No, you're not the only one." a playful smile formed. "I'm sure all the students feel the same way." she added playfully.

"Sweet Circe, if this wasn't a weekend...well, there would plenty of students wondering why their dear Potions Professor was grinning madly." Viper concluded as she pressed a kiss on Sevastyan's chest.

"I can just hear it now," Sevastyan laughed, the sound of Amaranth's laugh practically bewitching him to follow suit. He didn't mind though. Now that he knew where they stood in terms of relationship, the Russian would do almost anything for her... save jump off a cliff or broom to his death. In his younger days, he would have thought this was a dangerous position to put himself in - to have such a fondness for another outside of the family. Sevastyan didn't think that anymore.

At her playful remark, Sevastyan bestowed her with a look that said 'That wasn't at all vot I had meant'. It wasn't entirely serious, upon noticing her smile and the tone she'd used. The countenance could even be deemed comical. He would have to think of a way to get her back for that one; though he thought this with an internal, playful grin.

"Ve vould probably also be qvite late... and they vould vonder vy their Defense Class vos suddenly being held in the dungeons," Sevastyan supplied to the conclusion and lightly pressed his forehead to hers, taking care not to poke her in the eye with his nose. Not that it was exceptionally long, but still.

"Good. So it won't come as big of a suprise when it happens." Viper managed in between laughter, which only increased at the look Sevastyan bestowed on her.

She leaned into the contact and nodded. "True... and they would also wonder why their Potions Professor has taken their Defense Professor hostage in the broom closet..."

"And here I thought it vould have been the other vay around..." he chuckled in reference to being taken hostage and ran a hand up her arm.

"On the other hand, I vouldn't mind being your hostage. You von't torture me too badly, vill you?" Sevastyan asked jokingly, trailing a line of kisses down her cheek and to her lips.

"No, not too too badly. Just the normal rope and duct tape. Nothing more." Viper giggled as she met his lips, her nails skirting down his arms.

Eyebrows quirked upward for the briefest of moments. Rope and duct tape? Sevastyan was intrigued at the jest... or at least he thought it was a jest. The trail of her fingernails left the skin in their wake to a marvelous tingling sensation. It was this feeling that made him deepen the kiss.

He broke away just long enough to suggestively mutter clear enough for her to hear, "Vell now I'm interested..." before meeting her lips once more.

Viper giggled into his mouth, her nails still trailing. "Very well, the next class we have you can bring the rope, I'll bring the duct tape and we'll be set." she joked lightly before engaging him in another kiss.

"And voe betide any student that valks in on us..." Sevastyan added in the same tone, between kisses. Though it was jocularly stated, he couldn't help but wonder if she was actually being serious. The Russian supposed there was really only one way to find out... and that was to show up at the designated time the moment they were both free for the day.

"Indeed. Please Merlin be a student I don't like..." Viper replied half-heartedly as her much of focus went to the man beside her and the feelings he was invoking in her.

"And preferably not Boris..." Sevastyan amended to the plea. Though the stream of kisses had slowed to a trickle, the Russian did not back away from the intimate proximity. Quite the contrary: he nuzzled into the comfort of being with Amaranth and shifted minutely for maximum comfort.

"Nor any of our colleagues. As amusing as the idea is, I'd rather not have a note on my resume citing that I once held a colleague hostage bound and gagged in a closet." Viper giggled, resting her forhead against Sevastyan's.

"Agreed. Though, you could alvays cite me as a reference... and I'd put the record straight for anyvone that dares qvestion it," Sevastyan laughed at the thought of a prospective employer or random reader's face upon reading that such a little tidbit.

"Speaking of the others in the school... I vonder how obvious ve vill be? That ve are together?" he jovially wondered aloud, cupping the side of Amaranth's face in his hand as he guided her lips to his in a tender kiss.

"Really? Well what would you say? That it was all in self-defense?" Viper asked flirtatiously, though she was genuinely curious as to what Sevastyan would say.

She responded to the initiated kiss, deepening it. "Well I'd say the two Professors flirting and snogging and exiting various rooms would be a tip off." she replied breaking off with a giggle, before asking in a more serious tone. "Would you prefer our relationship to remain a secret?" she inquired as she stroke the hair out of his eyes, caressing his features.

"As if I vould really vant to harm even a single hair on your head for it to be self-defense," he scoffed but added a playful laugh at the way Viper had presented the suggestion. "I'm not sure vot I vould say... but by the time I get done saying it they vouldn't think about finding it odd," Sevastyan explained reassuringly.

The Russian couldn't help but snicker in response to her giggle, not for the first time considering the sound to be music to his ears. At the question, however, Sevastyan blinked with surprise and in response to having his hair gently removed from his face. "I vos under the impression that that is the lady's prerogative... vot are your preferences?" he replied honestly, leaning into her touch.

"I personally vant to show the vorld that Amaranth Viper is more than just approachable: she is lovable, too," Sevastyan added with all the conviction he could muster. And that was quite a bit. The smile that graced his lips was a kind one, which was also reflected in his eyes.

"What would they find it then?" Viper asked suggestively with an arched eyebrow.

Viper thought for a moment about his question. She definately didn't want it to be a behind closed doors type of relationship. She wanted to be able to walk down the halls holding his hand, maybe steal a few kisses in the hallway. With a mischevious smile, never ceasing her caress, she replied. "Well, to put it nicely. I'd like to be able to glare and hex at any female colleague who makes a move on you without looking like some crazed lunatic obsessed with you." she teased, kissing his forhead.

She smiled softly, touched by his reasoning and the expression he bore. She didn't know how to respond verbally so instead, she leaned forward, kissing him softly and slowly in an effort to communicate her emotions.

"They vould find it precisely vot it is: a matter betveen the two of us, and qvite frankly none of their business," he replied in the same manner, adding to the flirtatiousness by providing a wink. "Unless you like the idea of the looks on their faces if I'd said it vos self-defense...?"

Sevastyan couldn't help but chuckle amicably at her teasing. "You mean you're not obsessed vith me?" he teased in return as she kissed his forehead. While she was "distracted" with this task the Russian reached forward to kiss her neck.

It was interesting just how much could be read in a kiss: the emotions and intentions, depending on how well one was attuned to the other. At the moment, Sevastyan was rather very much in sync with Amaranth, and thus understood perhaps a great deal more than just a casual observer. The hand of his at the side of her face traced her cheek with his thumb before slowly creeping towards her hair to cup the back of her head. This was a kiss to be savored and, by Merlin, Sevastyan was going to do just that as he matched her emotions; kissing her in return just as gently and slowly as Viper had kissed him.

"It would be a lovely picture..." Viper giggled, imagining the shocked, most likely disturbed looks that would be received.

"You're poison running through my veins..." Viper breathed out at the question bestowed, her eyes fluttering at the sensations of his kisses and caresses. "Are you obsessed with me?" she countered teasingly, keeping the light atmosphere.

She savored the soft, sweet sign of affection, storing it away in her mind where all her memories of the past 24 hours lay resting to be treasured and remembered forever, though never shared with anyone outside this room. After all, Viper wasn't one to kiss and tell.

"Self-Defense it vill be, then, by your reqvest," he chortled. "It vould have a greater shock value, I have to admit," Sevastyan added, able to picture the same image as Amaranth was.

Sevastyan thought for just a moment on a lyric that he could use from the song. The one he decided on seconds later happened to be towards the end of it. "Runnin' deep inside my veins, burnin' deep inside my veins, it's poison - I don't vanna break these chains..." he replied quietly in the same form in which she had replied. It seemed to sum things up pretty thoroughly, given the context in which they were replying in.

Most of the memories of this nature he'd had of Roxane were long faded passed the point of recollection. Sevastyan decided his vault of memories needed a good cleaning, starting with the removal of the faded mental photographs, replacing them with these new sensations. In all honesty Sevastyan had not come to Hogwarts looking for love....

..... but he'd found it, and he wasn't complaining in the least!

Viper smiled brightly in response to the lyrics, making a mental note to find her CD. After all, "Poison" was only one of the many Alice Cooper songs that were incredibly fun to dance to. Especially when your dance partner enjoyed Alice Cooper as much as you did. She rested her head against his chest, savouring the warmth and safety she felt in his arms.

As Viper lay in the embrace, she couldn't help but think of another song, how the lyrics seemed to relate rather nicely


Viper always viewed Hogwarts as a symbol of the end. The final nail to her crucified career, her annihilated life. But now....

Well, it was safe to say that it was the beginning. The beginning of something more wonderful and meaningful than Viper ever thought possible.

His smile widened as her expression brightened exponentially. Though their feelings were mutual, Sevastyan was under the impression that her smile was much more radiant than his: the way it should be. Why, she practically glowed, and this "glow" simply took his breath away. Sevastyan wasn't quite sure how to tell her all of this, but he was fairly certain she had a pretty good idea of how he felt about her as it was.

As she lay her head in his chest, Sevastyan responded by lightly and briefly tightening the embrace. An acknowledgment and approval of the contact. Very slightly he shifted, though cradled Amaranth's head against him so she knew she needn't move because he was moving. Once comfortable, Sevastyan allowed his fingers to trail down the side of her face in a loving caress. There seemed to be little need for words: all Sevastyan wanted in this moment was simply to be. With her. To hell with everything else for now.

The whole of his body stiffened at a sudden growling noise from his stomach, and then relaxed in an attempt to ignore it. With any luck, Amaranth hadn't heard. But then again, she was right next to him... how could she have not heard that?!

The Russian felt his entire face rapidly flush with embarrassment.

In his arms once more, Viper savoured the comfort, warmth and happiness she felt course through her. Feeling that conversation was unnecessary, Viper lay peacefully in comfortable silence, relaxing. That is, until she heard a sudden growling noise from Sevastyan's abdomen.

Realizing that it was probably past noon and she was getting quite hungry herself, she raised her head from Sevastyan's chest. A soft laugh escaped her as she noticed his embarassment, finding his expression completely adorable. She raised herself slightly to give him a reassuring kiss. "Shall I call Nissy now?" she asked with a warm smile, tenderly brushing a stray strand of hair away from Sevastyan's flushed face.

Sevastyan wasn't entirely sure how to take the soft laugh, but decided not to let it bother him. Despite it was his embarrassment that caused the cadence, Amaranth's laugh was like an enchanting music to his ears. Sevastyan was almost immediately reassured by her kiss, though. The color in his face decreased to something not quite so bothered.

"If you vish," he replied, leaning toward her touch. "I know I personally vould rather just take our meals here instead of the Great Hall this time..."

"As would I." Viper replied, resting her forhead against his. With a wave of her hand she summoned her black silk dressing gown, reluctantly breaking away from him to slip it on.

"Whenever you're ready." she said as she waited for Sevastyan to get situated before calling the house-elf.

When Amaranth parted company to don her dressing gown, Sevastyan decided to mimic the action and summoned his bathrobe. From his experience with Nissy last night, the more "covered" he was the better. He wrapped it about himself and knotted the cloth belt-type tie snugly about his waist.

"Venever you are," he countered, wondering vaguely what the House-elf would think when it became obvious the pair had spent the night in the same room.
