Professor Viper's Personal Chambers (Located Nearby Slytherin Common Rooms)

Viper thought for a moment before exclaiming. "Well that one's on you! At least my offense on the fish fellows was beneficial. Your's was just carelessness!"

"Hey it wasn't my fault I got stuck in a blizzard and fell through the ice of the lake.... I fell on her when I fire traveled out she was burned. A minor burn it probably healed the next day"

Viper burst out laughing. "Oh, Kiara. As I said, love, good luck with the current dilemma!" Viper smirked.

Kiara rolled her eyes she gave up.

"I guess I will have to come with something then, how is that replica of the heart coming? Since you refuse to give me the real one."

Viper raised an eyebrow. "Replica? What are you- Oh, right, the replica. Yes, its defiantely coming along rather nicely...indeed." she nodded. "But once it's done, who's going to put it back in?"

Kiara bit her lip....

"I am not sure yet, Casey Silvertongue volunteered but I am not willing to let her take the risk. Any thing could happen to her in that lake, not just mer-people"

Viper sighed. "Would people really miss the lake? Honestly, there's plenty of other hiding spots here!" she suggesterd, desperately wanting to just blow up the lake.

Kiara raised her eye brow.

"Viper it's not like I can simply make it dissapear... It is a lake with mer-people and other life forms living in it"

Viper stared at Kiara, not quite understanding her point. "Well would anyone miss them?"

"Yes Viper people would miss them, and us if we did, destroying a ecosystem with integent life in it is a offence punishable to 10 years in Azkaban"

Viper shrugged. "Very well....well, good luck then, Kiara. All the best for you. In fact..." she waved her hand, summoning a box.

"Here's a swimsuit I bought a few months ago. Lovely, really. It's charmed to match the wearer's eyes. No harm in looking good for your meeting with the mer-folk." Viper winked.

Kiara couldn't help but laugh, when things get so ridicullus all you could do is laugh.

"Oh you never cease to amaze me, at least will look good when the mer-people plan to execute me. Thanks Viper"

Then asking suddenly, she hoped to catch Viper off guard.

"Oh and Viper next time you see your bother could you ask him why he waited 5 years to escape form Azkaban? If i had his abilty I would have ecaped a long time ago"

And with that she walked away, not waiting to see Viper's face.

Viper stiffened and ran after her. "What abilities? K-Kiara, what are you talking about?" she asked, suspician and nervousness blending together.

Kiara turned around and pointed her wand at the floor.

"Serpensortia"

A small viper snake came out of her wand.

Picking the snake up she said.

"I think you know what I mean"

Viper raised an eyebrow and sighed. "What gave it away? The eyes? The tatoos? The name? A blabber mouth?" she inquired, taking the snake into her hands and playing with it.

Kiara smiled she was quick "How I found out isn't important, what is important is that I know... Don't worry I won't tell anyone, wizards oath"

A blue light surrunded her for a second to show it was a real oath.

"So what is your brother planning to do anyway? I would offer him at place at hogwarts but it isn't the safest place for him anyway. He could be recognized when the ministry finds out, this is the place the will come looking first.'

Viper kept her eyes on the snake, stroking its scales, playing with it. Not many people knew of the Viper's extra abilities so she had a pretty good idea on who went running to Kiara.

She sighed, still not making eye contact. "I don't know his plans. All I know is that he's running errands today." she met Kiara's eyes with a slightly amused look. "We didn't get around to talking last night.All of his flirting with you and Professor Delanquar wore him out. He passed out after his first few goblets."

Kiara smiled,

"Really he seemed rather eager to talk with you when he was in my office.... Oh well perhaps it is better I don't know. That way when the ministry does get wind of this I will able to tell them honestly I don't where he is, wish him the best of luck to for me, will you?"

Viper flipped back her hair and rolled her eyes. "The Ministry could drop dead for all I care. Dracovan will be fine. He has his form and he has his flat in addition to the family manor. There's nothing to worry about for him."

Kiara nodded though it sounded like Viper was trying to convince herself of that.

"Of course, no one can ever have enough good luck though. Anyway I need to tend to the thestals and the other animals on the grounds. I will see you later then?"

Viper nodded. "Very well. Later."

Viper stared at the ebony piano standing at the corner of her chambers. The piano had been Salazar Slytherin's who had been an excellent musician and was said to have played it for hours everyday. In an effort to ensure that his successor would be a musician, he charmed the piano to never be able to be moved, no matter what spell was used.

Viper didn't truly mind the piano.It blended in quite nicely with her gothic styled chambers. Not to mention the fact that she was quite skilled and a fan of music. But it had been such a long time....

Taking a deep breath, she deicided to take a risk and try it. After all, playing the piano always helped relax her. Timidly, she approached the instrument, and allowed the notes to soothe her inner turmoil and express what she herself could not.

Sevastyan meandered about the castle in a strange mix of being half awake and alert to the point of paranoia all at the same time. However, despite how alert he felt he was, he had no clue how he managed to get to the dungeons, let alone this part of it. Wasn’t this where the Head of Slytherin stayed?

’Amaranth Viper is the Head of Slytherin... and the school’s potion mistress...’ Sevastyan reminded himself with a mental shake to get a grip on reality; the hellish dream he’d had plaguing his waking thoughts. With a cold and slightly clammy hand Sevastyan rapped upon the stone, ignoring the beads of cold sweat still slowly cascading down his forehead and threatening to drip into his eyes. With a silent prayer to Merlin, Sevastyan hoped that Amaranth was either the epitome of the expression ‘being a night owl’ or would be exceptionally forgiving for waking her at an hour so late it was almost early...

Viper sighed as she eyed the clock with annoyance. Throughout her life she had always suffered insomnia so severe that she considered herself lucky to even get one night of sleep in a week. At this point in life her body had developed a very high tolerance to sleeping potions so they would no longer work on her.

She rolled over in her bed, forcing her eyes, mentally willing herself to sleep until she heard the ruckus outside her door. Reaching for her black satin dressing gown, she covered herself with the wardrobe, not wanting to open her portrait dressed in only a short black satin nightdress that barely skirted midway her thighs.

Carefully, Viper opened the portrait only to find not a student as she expected, but Sevastyan looking...well, to put it nicely, rather unlike hi calm, composed, jovial self...

Waving her hand, she triggered the small beacons to light in a low dimmer so their pupils, or his rather, would not be irritated by the sudden brightness. She glanced with concern clearly etched in her face over his shaking appearance and ushered him into her chambers gently to her sofa.

"Sevastyan...what happened?" she breathed out, conjuring her goblet of vodka and handing it to him, waiting for him to fill her in.

Sevastyan stiffly allowed himself to be steered into the room, brows furrowing as he accidentally looked directly into one of the lights. He was barely even aware that he was moving mostly of his own accord, or that he was now sitting down on someone's couch.

When Amaranth spoke Sevastyan started and looked to her with wide gray eyes, the dilated pupils turning to pinpricks very briefly before returning to a more acceptable width. He searched her face and the general appearance of the professor, quickly attempting to assess whether this was real or if he hadn't simply gotten up from the floor and fallen straight back to sleep. The chilly air that swept over his sweat-drenched forehead was enough of a signal to indicate he was still awake. The attire she'd been dressed in during his nightmare didn't match what she was wearing now - that was a good sign.

"Ven?" Sevastyan rasped his query, befuddled by the question in his current state of not-that-awake-ness. The olive complexion of his face still looked quite pale. Focusing blearily on the offered goblet, he reached for it. "Thank you," he muttered, hoping that there was no weakness in his voice. It was likely a vain hope. Without even questioning what was in the goblet he downed a large gulp. An abrupt grunt of pain echoed throughout the goblet not even a second later as alcohol met raw throat muscles. While he doubted such a thing had been Viper's intention, the pain did help in waking him up a bit.

"Do you... have any water? My throat aches like a *****," Sevastyan asked, his voice a little scratchier than before though made no move to give up the vodka goblet. "And my sincerest apologies for disturbing you... votever it's vorth," he offered genuinely but in the same manner, not realizing he had yet to provide a distinct answer to her own inquiry.
