Eglantine closed her eyes, tears unbidden dripping down her cheeks. "I don't know." she sighed. Her mind and body were slipping deeper and deeper into confusion. Cerise screaming inside of her mind did not help, nor did the fever or internal bleeding.

Viper frowned, desturbed by Eglantine's tears. "Please do not get emotional, Professor. I am hardly the type qualified to comfort..."

The tears continued despite Viper's statement. She could not even turn to bury her face in the pillows. Shaking hands attempted to wipe away the tears using the heavy blanket, but she did not have the strength to.
"I do not think I can speak any more." she whispered. Hoping Viper would take the subtle hint, she sighed.

Viper nodded. "Very well, shall I take my leave?"

"Yes." Eglantine opened her eyes, looking straight at Viper. "But please..." her voice cracked. "Return." she finished.

Viper turned back to Eglantine just as she was about to exit, turning to face the ailing woman. For a moment, her face softened before once again stiffening into a look of indifference. "Very well." she replied before exiting.

Eglantine fell asleep only moment after Viper left, returning to terrifying memories of ash blowing away.

Viper sighed as she knocked on the door. She had been here less than a week ago yet so much had happened, she mused to herself as she waited for Eglantine's response.

Eglantine sat in front of the fire, her shaking hands sorting through papers that Esis had assigned to her classes. The woman was a fine teacher despite her obvious lack of disciplinary action.

Due to the complexity of her injuries, Eglantine was no longer afforded the luxury of her cane. Now her cane had evolved into a straight back wheel chair, charmed to hover slightly and to interface with her magic, making it possible for her to steer it easily.

Hearing someone knock on the door, she wandlessly opened it, not bothering to turn the chair around. It was probably only Esis returning with Edwin.

Viper entered the room, noticing how Eglantine was now in a wheel chair. Sure enough, Eglantine did look better. "Good evening, Professor Delanquar." she greeted gently.

Eglantine sighed. "Good evening, Professor Viper." she returned. Her soft voice sounded rather hollow, but was stronger than the last time they had spoken.
"How may I help you?"

Viper smiled her 'courtesy smile'. "I have a gift for you, from our dear lovebirds." she said as she handed Eglantine the letters, waiting for Eglantine's reaction.

Taking the letters, Eglantine began to read Mr. Vaight's edition. She appeared to have turned to stone as she read, not so much as a eyelid moved. She tucked the first letter under the second and read that as well.

"Am I right to assume that there is a reason you brought these to me?" she asked, finally looking up from the letters. Inside, she was fuming.

Viper raised an eyebrow. Maybe she sould have sent the offending teens to give the letters...

Viper nodded. "Yes, I thought that if ever Edwin is in a daycare and gets into a... mishap... with another female toddler you would like to know who you may blame."

"Ah, I see." Eglantine glanced down at the letters again. Her hands began to shake more violently and her stone facade finally split, revealing molten wrath in her green eyes.
"This conduct is beyond reason!" She turned the chair with a thought. "This is a school not a pub."

Viper raised an eyebrow. "Oh so now you're against the snogging! Where was this when they were snogging in my classroom?"

"I do believe they were punished by you for that breach of sense." Eglantine returned, a tiny smirk playing on her lips.

"Yes but who was it that wanted me to step out?" Viper countered.

Eglantine sighed. "Mr. Vaight and Miss Casillas are going to stop these public displays of affection anyway." she resigned. "According to both Mr. Vaight and Mr. Casillas, Miss Casillas is to engaged to the latter."

Viper wrinkled her nose. While her family had been one of the blood-crazed families ever, they defiantely had standards, such as not marrying your cousin. At least, not your first cousin...

"Lovely." she said dryly. Viper was suprised at how Eglantine was relating to her. Was this how it was when people were trying to move past something?

"My thoughts exactly." Eglantine looked back down at the letters. "Here." she said handing them back.

Viper shook her head. "Unnecessary. I already have my own copies." she smirked.

Eglantine smiled. "I suppose then that I will have to add these to my collection. Beauxbatons' are five times worse than these." She quipped, accioing a case from under her desk. Opening it, she revealed hundreds if not thousands of notes, letters and doodles all obviously drawn by either lovesick or rival students.

Viper laughed. "Oh come now, Professor! They addressed this letter to you! I think they deserve their very own category." she smirked.

"Well I am not going to frame them, if that is what you are suggesting." Eglantine replied, equally amused. Pulling out a unadorned black folder, she slipped them both into its empty space. "There."

She ran a shaky hand over the smooth walnut case. "My students gave this to me, complete with all its contents when I left Beauxbatons."
