Kiara nodded and began to fade away.

"See you when I wake up Eglantine" she said breathlessly.

Coming back in to the real world Kiara fainted her magic spent.

((Lovely...now they are both out cold...with Eglantine dying of blood loss and Kiara suffering from magical exhaustion... things are looking up...))

Edwin peered over the side of his crib. Mama was sleeping on the floor, which she never did and the other lady had fallen asleep as well. The whole situation frightened him.
"Mama!" he called. She didn't answer. "Tib-tib!" The house-elf was nowhere to be seen. IN his desperation he even called for Viper.
"Auntie Vip!"

Fat tears strolled down his cheeks and he sat back down in the crib.

Hearing the toddler cries Kiara woke up, she felt exshusted and her head was splitting.

"Err I hate magical exshastion..." she mumbed as she managed to cast a weak reviveal spell on Eglantine.

Eglantine opened her eyes, but due to the blood that continued to bubble from her mouth they fluttered shut.
"Mama!" Edwin screeched again. She rolled over, coughing heavily.
A surprisingly strong levitation spell brought the child over to her. He wrapped his arms around her, ignoring the blood stained robes and face.

Kiara sighed again "You are going to be the death me of Eglantine Delanquar"

Putting a Sleeping charm on Edwin Kiara weakly grabed on to the two of them and called Saturn to her.

"Take us to the infirmary Saturn and quickly"

In a flash of Blue light the 3 occupants were gone.

((Roughly same timeline as Castle and Grounds.))

Eglantine was lying on her bed, amid what was easily a million pillows. She felt terrible and knew she looked as bad as she felt. Edwin was sleeping peacefully in his crib after hours of being coaxed to leave his mama's side and she found some comfort in that fact.

Having barely enough strength to lift her arm, Eglantine accioed her charmed quill and her journal. It had been a long time since she had written in it.

She began to dictate to the floating quill.
"Several days ago I killed a man..." she began and the rest of the story followed for the quill to capture in black ink.

Viper approached the entrance to Eglantine's chambers hesitantly, a sense of nervousness coating her actions. Taking several deep breaths to calm herself, she knocked softly.

The forest nymph on the painting looked sad and depressed, no longer whirled about the painting, but sitting on the painted forest lawn.
"My mistress cannot come to the door." she stated. "Please say what you want, and I'll let you in."

Viper sighed. Maybe it would have been better if Kiara had come along after all. She didn't really know what to say to Eglantine, so how would she ever explain it to a painting. "I wish to speak with Professor Delanquar." she said softly with a hint of hesitance in her voice.

The painting swung open along with the door and the nymph offered Viper a sad smile.
"Speak softy..." she murmured as the door closed behind Viper.

Viper entered the chambers and looked around cautiously. It was empty so Viper assumed that Eglantine was in her bedroom. Slowly, she made her way to the bedroom and stood outside the doorway, not quite knowing what to say, tightning her long dark cloak around her.

Eglantine was only half-way through dictating when she stopped. Shooing the quill away, she banished the paper onto her desk in the corner.
Although very weak, she could feel an additional presence in her chambers.
"Come in." she called, her voice barely a whisper. Thinking it was either Kiara or Juria, she braced herself for a lecture about not sleeping.

Hearing Eglantine's weakened voice, Viper cringed as she entered the bedroom, holding her breath nervously.

Eglantine's eyes widened slightly when Viper entered the bedroom. She had not been expecting her...at least not for a while. The thought had crossed her mind that the remaining Viper may avenge her brother's death.

"Professor?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. Suddenly she wished that she could at least sit up. She had never pictured that she might die lying defenseless in bed.

"Good evening, Professor Delanquar." she said as she hesitantly stepped into the room. "How are you feeling?" she asked softly, her voice above a whisper as she crossed her arms over her cloak covered chest, enhancing the look of her vulnerability.

Not expecting the question or the greeting, Eglantine just stared at Viper for several moments. So she had not come to kill her...or had she?
"Well enough to wish I was feeling better." she finally whispered, noting that the younger woman looked rather awkward and hesitate.

Viper opened her mouth to say something but stopped, her face becoming apologetic and flushed, "I-I'm sorry, Professor. You're resting and here I am desturbing you. Forgive me, I'll take my leave." she said turning to exit.

"No! Please." Eglantine pleaded. She had lain there for hours trying to do anything but fall asleep...as her nightmare and dreams were filled with the last few moments of Dracovan's life. It would be nice to have anything or anyone to break the empty silence.

Slowly, Viper turned around, meeting the other woman's eyes. She breathed in slowly, unsure of how to proceed.

"Would you...um...be seated?" Eglantine asked, feeling terrible for forcing the woman to stay. She weakly gestured toward the chair beside the bed.

Viper nodded. "Very well..." she said as she sat on the chair, feeling more awkward by the minute, not a normal feeling for Viper. In fact, she couldn't even remember the last time she had felt like this...ever.

A coughing fit ruined Eglantine's plans as her whole body shook violently with each hacking cough. There was a bit of blood, but Juria had healed most of the internal injuries.

"I'm sorry..." Viper said softly as she watched blood splatter from Eglantine, summoning a few handkerchiefs for her.

Eglantine began to cry as she attempted to take the handkerchief from Viper. What did the woman have to apologize for? She was the one who had killed the man... Viper had only spoken the truth.
She dropped the handkerchief due to her hands, but looked up at Viper ignoring it.
"No...I am. I killed an innocent man and even if I had no control over my actions... I still did it."

Viper shook her head. Surely it couldn't get worse than this...

"No, you didn't. You defended yourself from someone who tried to kill your son. It was self-defense." she said softly, looking and keeping her gaze at the fallen handkerchief.
