Kiara smiled, "Finally a Malfoy who talks some sense" she laughed. "You wouldn't believe the glares I have gotten for Draco Malfoy and his group"

Esis lifted an eyebrow. "Has Draco been giving you any trouble?" she asked. Already she was unpacking her suitcase, setting several rumpled robes into a bin that she had unfolded from the bottomless suitcase. Within moments she had transfigured the couch into a nice little bed with a homely atmosphere about it.

Kiara smirked, "More like I've been giving him trouble. Mr. Malfoy made the unfortunate mistake in thinking I was a stupid goody goody who had no idea how to duel.... "How could a mudblood like me", be ask good at it as him. So I chalenged him to a formal duel... and I won."

"Draco Malfoy is just a sore loser"

Esis nodded. "Just like his father..." she sighed. "I'm afraid that inbreeding results in hyperpride syndrome and monothoughts that float around one's self..."she giggled.

Kiara smiled "Luckily you were spared those genes huh....."

"I just suppress them...get to be my age and you'll be able to do anything you want to your body...including the manipulation of pesky genes."

Kiara raised her eye brow, "Your age? you couldn't be that much older then me..."

Esis winked at Kiara. "We are witches are we not? Love, I am much older than you. But I like to consider myself younger so that I do not have to conform to how "old" people are expected to act. Would you believe that I am over 100?"

Kiara's mouth dropped,

"Not in a million years, No I don't believe it"

"Good thing too, cause I'm not." Esis chuckled to herself over her joke and then suddenly became serious. "I'll do my best to help her, don't worry."

Kiara sighed, and looked over at Eglantine.

"I can't help it... I already lost some very dear to me due to illness, I don't want to lose Eglantine for the same reason...."

Pausing she continued.

"If you need anything just ask, I will do what ever I can"

Esis nodded. "Thanks." She pulled several clothes from her suit case and wet each one with a simple water charm. "I'm going to see if I can bring down that fever. Have a nice day, Kiara." And she made her way back into the bedroom.

Sitting beside her cousin, Esis draped the clothes over her forehead, replacing the ones Kiara had placed there a few hours before.
"We're going to get you back to teaching those little cheeky bairns you love so much in no time, Lenty. Consider this a partial pay back for saving my life."

Kiara smiled, and left Esis to do what she was here to do.

Turning around she headed for the infirmary to have her blasted shoulder looked at.

((Conected to going to the hospital wing))

Esis periodically casted a diagnostic spell on Eglantine, pursing her lips each time she looked over the results. Broken and now mending ribs, a re-shattered hip, a serious concussion and strange elevations and drops in body temperature baffled her.

Several hours passed as Esis not only attempted to alleviate some of her patient's pain, but also figure out what had caused such damage.

"Troll attack? Damn woman, what were you doing fighting a troll! You don't know anything about them not to mention you were unhealthy before this." Esis wiped a droplet of sweat from her forehead and sighed.

A quick body temperature check read 38.8. "Well that's better than before." The woman rose from the chair and looked over to see Edwin standing in his crib.

"Well look who's up and ready to have some fun!" she exclaimed, walking over the the child. He stared at her, taking in her strange appearance and manner of speaking.
"Who are you?" he asked, immediately unsure of whether or not he should be speaking to her.

"I'm Esis, your mum's cousin." Accioing an empty cup from the kitchen area, she transfigured it into a sippy cup and poured some luke warm hot chocolate from a flask into it. "Here." she handed him the cup and watched intrigued as he carefully sniffed it. Goodness, she thought. Was the baby going to check for poisons next?

Finally he sipped from it and then began to gulp it down happily. The enchanted look on his face told her that she now had a friend for life.

Viper shook her head. "All they know is that a...blood traitor killed him." she said as delicately as she could put it, although she didn't really have any desire to spare any unnecessary pain.

Esis awoke the next morning and hurried over to Eglantine's side. She had a 40 fever and was plainly hallucinating. Afraid that the woman would start ranting and not wanting to impose on her privacy, Esis cast a muffling charm around Eglantine, making it impossible for her to hear her.

After applying several cold clothes and spoon feeding her half a bowl of chicken broth, Esis sighed as Eglantine lapsed into unconsciousness.

She took that moment and the hour after it, to change Edwin into green and blue jumpers and to feed him his breakfast. He was quite grumpy that morning, due to the excessive sugar he had been given the day before. Esis had already sworn never to let him touch sugar again. The child had just about been bouncing off the walls.

"Hmm...I suppose now I could take you for a walk. Your mum will be asleep for awhile." Edwin instantly cheered at the idea of leaving the room and beamed as Esis picked him up.
"So my wee bairn, where shall we take you." Esis chuckled, setting a ward around the bedroom to alert her if there was any movement.

Edwin had several ideas about where they should go, but Esis was not to keen on either visiting someone named Viper or swimming in the lake.

Clicking the door shut behind her, Esis smiled at the dancing nymph and made her way down the hallway with Edwin bouncing on her hip.

"A blood traitor..." Eglantine chuckled. "How ironic." Her laugh was dry and mirthless, bordering on bitter.

Viper shrugged. "Don't fret on it. I wouldn't stoop as low as to inform them of anything. And even if I did it wouldn't make a difference. My mother and father are not able to leave Viper Manor, so you are quite safe."

"Oh I am not worried about your family." Eglantine closed her eyes. "Again I have made an offense worthy of imprisonment. The ministry might even come to visit... after all I vaporized a former prisoner with an illegal spell."

Viper laughed coldly. "Oh you are naive, Professor. If anything, the Ministry will award you an Order of Merlin first class. Long have they wanted the last male Viper heir dead. The most they'll do is feel a twinge of jealousy for not having the pleasure themselves."

Eglantine said nothing. In actuality the ministry would have happily finished what they had started with her husband's death. But Kiara and Viper had stopped Hermione from arresting her.
"Actually they would gladly use his death to kill me as well. I already told you why."

Viper shrugged. "Murdering a murderer does not make you a killer. It makes you an innocent defending herself."

"Was he a murderer?" Eglantine asked. Cerise in her mind was challenging that thought.

A murderer? No he was an innocent. I killed him for my own pleasure and you did as well. Cerise whispered. You did not care about Edwin. Why should you? You served Lord Voldemort so faithfully and for what...?"

Viper shrugged. "Depends on who's telling the story..."

"I thought so." Eglantine muttered.

Viper raised an eyebrow. "What's that supposed to mean?" she asked, daring Eglantine to say what was on her mind.
