"Please don't..." Eglantine murmured, smiling. And within moments she had drifted asleep.

"Sweet dreams Eglantine... I am not that bad of a singer though, but then again you didn't know that did you?"

Looking over at the sleeping toddler she whispers.

"We will be getting know each other over the next few days little one"

Edwin opened one eye, obviously faking to sleep and smiled up at Kiara. Strangely he slept flat on his back with his arms folded under his head.
"Juice?" he asked.

Smiling down at Edwin she asked.

" Alright...What kind do you like? Apple? Orange? or Grape?"

She hoped he knew what he liked, figuring out what children like and didn't was tedious process.

"Gwap." Edwin answered, rolling over so that he could stand up. Gripping the sides of the crib he pulled himself up. "In the cup." he pointed at a plastic cup shaped like a lion that was lying against the wall. It looked conspicuously like the child had thrown it.

"Very well"

Kiara summoned the cup and scrugified it before charming some Grape juice to appear in the cup.

"Here you go little one" she said as she handed him the cup.

"Who you?" Edwin asked, taking the cup with both hands. He had seen Kiara several times now, but Mama had not told him who she was.

Kiara smiled and said in the simplest terms that could sum up her and Eglantines relationship.

"I am Kiara, a very close friend of your Mama"

"Kiara." the child repeated. He sipped some juice from the cup and then lowered it before dropping it into the crib.
"Get out?" he asked, wanting out of the crib.

Kiara bit her lip and glanced at her arm that was still in her sling.

"Alright let me see here"

Focusing on Edwin she wandlessly floated him up in to the air and floated him into her waiting arm.

Balancing Edwin onto her hip she said,

"there"

Seeing a stuffed toy snake still in the crib Kiara floated out as well and haned it to Edwin.

"This is Viper right?" she asked with a smile.

"Yes." Edwin said happily, taking the snake and cuddling it. "What happen?" he asked, noticing Kiara's sling.

Kiara smiled, he was so cute.

"Ran into a big bully and he hurt my shoulder"

Glancing at the clock it was almost dinner time, and Eglantine was still sleeping soundly.

"Are you hungry for some dinner?" she asked.

"Yeah!" Edwin shouted, instantly correcting himself, by covering his mouth. He nodded his head.

Kiara laughed "You really are Eglantine's son, come on now lets let your mama rest in piece for a little while, and I will make you something to eat for dinner, what is your favorite dinner?"

Kiara decided it would be better to keep Edwin thinking with her questions and choice in things to eat. Then to let him wonder why she was taking care of him and not his mother.

"With meat and gwavy." Edwin said, as if that was the only thing required for a good meal.

((should I go to the great hall or have kiara make him somthing in Eglantines Quarters?))

Kiara laughed and said "I will put some of that on your plate then"

"Mama say gween good too." Edwin offered, hoping Kiara would not agree with his mama. Vegetables were not very good in his eyes, but he ate them when told to.

"Your Mama is a very smart woman then, green veggies are very good for you."

Knowing fully well what kids though of green veggie's she added for good measure.

"You want to be smart like your mama don't you?"

Edwin wrinkled his nose and sighed. "Indeed." he squeaked obviously mimicking his mother.

Kiara laughed again,

"You are to cute"

Placing Edwin in a high chair, Kiara got to work on cooking dinner in Eglantines small kitchen.

She made a small roast bief, some mashed potatos and some brocili.

Placing kid sized portions on a plate she brought the plate over to Edwin and a plate for her self.

"Here you go hope you don't mind my cooking, oh ..."summoning a a slice of chedder cheese she shreded a little of it in the brocili.

"I fine it helps it tast better" she said with a smile

"Okay." Edwin smiled, picking up his blue plastic fork. He stabbed a piece of meat and placed it into his mouth.
"Yummy!" he exclaimed, mouth full of meat.

Kiara shook her head.

Though she was amused, she highly doubted Eglantine would be impressed with the mouth full of food and opened at the same time.

" Thank you, but chew and shallow, before you speak little one"

she said as she cut his meat in smaller bit size peices.

Edwin nodded, stabbing up more meat and ignoring the broccoli and mashed potatoes. Soon he had finished the meat and then focused his attention on the broccoli. Meticulously cutting up the broccoli, he finished that off as well and then ate his mashed potatoes. Obviously taste and time had nothing on speed and precision with the child.

Sipping some juice from his cup, he sighed. "All gone!" he exclaimed, showing Kiara his empty plate and dirty hands. "Now bath!"

Kiara smiled and took the empty plate, cleaned it and floated Edwin out of the chair.

"Alright, do you like bubbles or no bubbles?"
