Viper's Office

Viper nodded. "Alright, my Slytherins and I will be there."

"Alright I look forward to it, it has been a while since i had a decent duel, It should be interesting"

Looking at her muggle whatch she had enchanted to work with magic she saw the time.

"Now if you will excuse me Professor Viper I have an Advanced Spells class to teach in 15 minutes. I will see you later, Okay?"

"Good bye Headmistress!"

Kiara stopped for a moment by the door and turned her head. She had given Eglantine permission to use her first name, it was only fair she gave the potions mistress the same.

'You may call me Kiara if you wish to Professor Viper"

Viper paused for a moment, pondering if she should take the leap. She decided to throw caution to the wind and smiled gently. "Very well, then I must ask you to call me Amaranth. Or Viper. Whichever is easier for you."

"Since you're my new head of Slytherin, Viper seems more appropriate. I will see you later"

She said as she walked out the door.

(In the advanced spells room)

A piece of paper, gently folded, floated into Professor Viper's office and settled itself on her desk.
It unfolded and revealed a short few sentences in elegant tiny cursive.

Professor Viper,

Miss Ana Vaight has been wandering in the Forbidden Forest. I have taken the liberty of warning her against repeating this action. If you wish to further her punishment or give her further warning, that is up to you.

Professor DeLanquar

Viper spotted the letter on her desk with mild amusement. "At least the woman had sense enough to take heed of Viper's previous advice and leave the discipling of Slytherins to her. Jotting down a quick letter to Ms.Vaight, she awaited her student's arrival.

Ana arrived at the office door and knocked. This knocking on office doors was becoming almost a habit.
She stood still and waited.

"Come in!" Viper called out, pouring herself a goblet.

"You wanted to see me Professor?"

Ana walked into the study, wondering what she'd done now.

"Yes, dear. Professor Englantine," she rolled her eyes as she said her rival professor's name, "Said that she found you in the forbidden forest. Would you care to tell me why?"

"I...I don't know Professor." She looked down at her shoes. "I have no excuse...I just wandered and didn't realise where I was."
Ana braced herself. What kind of pathetic excuse was that, Ana, she asked herself. Pretty pathetic.

Viper nodded absentmindedly. She didn't truly care for what the girl's intentions were, after all who was she to talk? In her student days she rarely spent her nights in the dormitory, opting to go exploring instead. "How did Professor Delanquar catch you? Were you making a loud ruckus, attracting attention upon yourself?"

Ana shook her head. "No Professor, I think she has some sort of spell on the forest so she knows if someone goes into it."

Viper nodded, "I see." she took a sip of her goblet, contemplating. "Well, she's already given you a warning so I feel no need to repeat it. Although take heed, Anna, next time she won't be so lenient and may take you to the headmistress instead of leaving it in my hands, and that would be beyond my control. I don't mind if you go exploring, I truly don't, just show more caution next time and don't get caught. I'd hate to have to bring those types of things up during my dinners with your father."

"Thanks Professor, I'll be more careful."

Viper smiled. Anna reminded her of Reginald so much. She made a mental note to floo him later on."Alright, run along now, love." she said, ushering the student out of her office.

"Bye Professor."

Ana headed down towards the dungeons...

Kiara knocked on Viper's office door hoping she was in so she could ask her about the Wolfspane potion for Miss Silvertounge.

Viper paused in her paperwork and calculations as she heard a knock on the door. She waved her wand, tidying the scattered potions ingredients and faced the mirror, smoothing her appearance before opening the door.

She smiled gently when she saw Kiara there. "Good evening, Kiara." she greeted pleasantly as she stepped aside, allowing the headmistress passage into her office. "Is everything alright?"

Steping into Vipers Office Kiara returned her smile.

"Good evening, everything is fine... well almost everything. I was wondering if you could do a big favor for me"

Viper nodded, taking a seat on her desk and conjuring 2 goblets, handing one to Kiara. "Of course. What is it?" she asked, taking a sip, interested as to what the Headmistress requested from her. "I have to say, this is a suprise though. You normally approach Professor Delanquar for assistance."

Kiara look in the goblet curiously, not sure if the contents had alcohol in it or not, not that she though Viper was poisoning her, but she may not have know about her alergy to alcohol.

"Umm this is in more your area of expertise. A student came to my office earlier today and she is in desperate need of a Wolfsbane potion. I was wondering if you could brew it for her before the next full moon?"

Answering the Headmistress's silent question, Viper mentioned. "It's charmed to change to the beverage of your choice."

She contemplated the request Kiara made of her. It was no problem for her, of course. Brewing a wolfsbane was as easy to Viper as stating her ABC's. Shrugging her shoulders, Viper nodded. "Very well. I can have it ready in a few hours. May I know who it is for?"
