Tav took a deep breath and turned back to the paint and his girlfriend. Part of him was already beating the living daylights out of Wycliffe but the other part was giving in to Kaylie. He smiled.
"Okay, but if he ever gives you a hard time..." he trailed off, shrugging his shoulders.

Kaylie smiled gently, it felt good to know he cared about her. "I will be sure to tell you" she said. Of course she didn't add that she would only tell him when he and Wycliffe were no where near each-other. Not that she gave a whoot about Wycliffe, but she didn't want to see Tav get in trouble on acount of her.

Still holding Tav's hand she went back to helping vanishing the paint from the classroom.

Tav beamed, happy to hear Kay promise to tell him. He felt strong and loving, protecting her like that. Another paint splotch vanished and he began to hum as he worked, his hand in Kay's.

Eglantine looked up from her work, her eyes noting how closely Tav and Kaylie were standing and how they held hands... Had Tavish not been her daughter's step-son, she would have told them to step apart, but she saw no harm in ignoring it...just this once.

Kaylie smiled and almost sighed in relief when Tav smiled and continued cleaning away at the paint. Merlin she loved him so, she never thought she would ever love someone so much.

Standing on her tip toes she whispered "I love you" in his ear.

Sgueezing his hand lightly she contiued to help him clean the room.

Tav continued to vanish paint until he heard Kay whisper into his ear. If he hadn't of dove for it, his wand would have bounced off of the floor.
"I love you too." he mouthed back, smiling like some lovestruck idiot.

Kaylie beamed when he mouthed the message back, she sent a quick look to Professor Delanquar before gathering her courage and hugging Tav quickly.

Then she vanished a few more blobs of paint.

Tav was hardly able to return the gesture of hugging her back before he saw green and quickly vanished another bit of paint. Why Professor DeLanquar was so...prudish was beyond him. After all, his uncle/grandfather had publicly snogged her before and she hadn't slapped him or berated him.
Maybe she just didn't think adolescents should like/love each other... Surely she had been young at some point. How old was she anyway? Hardly looking a day over 20 when smiling and a day over 30 not, he had guessed she was in her 40s mainly because she had been a professor for a while. So, 24 years ago, give or take a year, she had been young and maybe in love. Hadn't she wanted to hold his hand and kiss him? Nay, the thought was quickly chased away. He doubted that a 16 year old Eglantine DeLanquar was much different from a whatever years old she was now one...

Kaylie work diligantly by Tav's side help get rid of all the paint, until there was none left.

She stopped and waited for further instructions, bitting her tongue on offering if there was anything else they could do. Guessing the professor would take the offer to heart and send them back to work again.

Tav sighed when the last bit of paint vanished.

"Can we go now?" he asked, hoping the professor wouldn't want any toilets cleaned or chairs polished.
"'May' not Can..." Eglantine corrected, not looking up from her papers. "Behave yourselves..." she murmured.

Tav beamed as he grabbed Kay's hand and headed for the door.

Kaylie happily went with Tav out of the classroom.

"I got the feeling she will be keeping her eyes on us from now on eh?" she said with a giggle.

Tav chuckled. "Probably." he returned. But he found he really didn't mind. After all, there were worse things than teachers glaring at you.
"So are we still ago? he muttered, meaning the prank for that night.

Kaylie nodded smileing, "Of course, anything to get rid of Wycliffe," she said quietly.
Then in a even quieter voice she said
"....and as I said before there is something exciting about running around the school at night with the one you Love" she said.

Tav smiled. He wanted nothing more than to get rid of the Slytherin pest... His smile only grew as she whispered how exciting it was to run around the school at night with him. Oh yes... he was going to enjoy this...

There was a soft shriek from the classroom they had just vacated and Tav turned back. "Did you hear something?" he asked.

Kaylie nodded "Yeah" and she walked back to the muggle studies classroom and knocked in the door.

"Professor Delanquar? is everything alright?" she asked.

Tav didn't notice that Kaylie was knocking and instead barged through the door, opening it with a large crash.

Then he blushed red.

Professor DeLanquar was sitting on her desk, happily kissing her husband of 7 years. Her hair had come down partially from her simple bun and Horatio seemed to be in rather passionate mood.

"Uh-oh..." Tav murmured, wondering if detention for the rest of his life would follow.

Kaylie peaked in the door, gasped blushed like she never blushed before and quickly hide behind the door again.

Realizing Tav was frozen in place it seemed, she covered her eyes to block her view of the rather in love Professors, grabed Tav's hand and pulled.

"Tav. lets. go." she said.

Tav needed no urging, turning quickly to follow Kaylie's lead. However Horatio turned at that moment and saw Tav's arm disappear out the door.
"Ah, students. Come in come in." he exclaimed, happily, seemingly oblivious to his current position with his wife.
Eglantine, quickly straightened her hair and mussed robes, smirking the entire time at the love of her life.

Tav groaned. "Run, Kay. I'm dead if we don't." and he grabbed her hand and tore down the hallway.

Kaylie ran after Tav, not that she had much of a choice.

When they were far enough away Kaylie said, "That is why you knock before bursting on someone" she said.

Tav nodded, breathing heavily as he slid up to the Gryffindor commonroom door. "Last time I saw them, I got in deep trouble. Grandpa Horatio had the birds and the bees talk with me..." he muttered

Kaylie blushed, "I see... must have been uncomfortable for you, I can't imagine having that talk with my grandparents.." she said.

Tav nodded, leaning against the wall. "I had already had it twice... my da wanted to be sure I got it from him and my grandma on my da's side informed me as well." he shuddered.
"Way too much details..."

Kaylie giggled, "I hardly got anything... Dad was more uncomfortable about it then we were."

"Hardly understood what her was saying.. as he studderd everything to me and my sisters..." she said.

Tav chuckled, remembering how Horatio had explained it. Stuttering hadn't even been a thought...
"You got lucky." he smiled.

Kaylie chuckled, "My sisters and I got a big laugh out if it later... my brother was terribly confused though" she said.

Her brother Shawn was deaf and had a hard time reading his father lips as he studdered out the "talk"

"So had to take turns explining to him what dad was talking about in sign language, he was so embarrassed be the and of it"

Tav laughed, trying to imagine and yet not imagine what the poor kid was thinking...
"What's so funny?" Edwin asked, approaching the two older teens.
