~January 1, 2026 New Years ~ Fixed Future

Diana was dozing slightly. She wasn't in pain, the Healers had given her a potion to stop the pain, but she felt very, very drowsy.

Despite that fact though, she felt so very happy. Perhaps it may have been the potion, but she felt like she was the happiness person alive.

Merlin, she was a mother. To, despite a premature birth, a bouncing baby boy. She couldn't have been any happier. Not even Dementors could make her feel upset.

Darien couldn't stop grinning. And he wasn't even going to try.

This was quite possibly the best day of his life...

Hell, this was the best day of his life! Ever!

"Hey," Diana said to him weakly.

Darien squeezed her hand gently. "How're you feeling?"

"Tired, but immensely happy." Diana replied. "You?"

"About the same." Darien laughed. "You two scared the hell out of me."

But he smiled.

Diana smiled as well. She glanced at the clock. "Happy New Year."

"Very happy new year." Darien smiled, bending to kiss her.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door.

"Come on," Diana said as clearly as she could.

A Healer entered pushing the little cart where the baby laid.

Darien darted over and scooped up the child, passing him to Diana.

"He's perfect."

"I'll be back later on," the Healer said and defy left the proud parents.

Diana sat up slowly and carefully carried him. "Isn't he beautiful?"

"He is..." Darien failed to find a word to describe him. "Just...brilliant."

Diana placed a kiss on his little forehead. "He's so tiny."

Darien squeezed his little son's hand as gently as possible.

"So delicate." He smiled.

Suddenly there was a loud banging on the front door.

Diana jumped and so did the baby. "Oh no, who could that be?"

Darien grimaced. "Hopefully no one we know..."

He swung open the door, and immediately regretted it.

Diana sensed who was at the door and quickly put a charm on the baby so that he wouldn't be able to hear the loud voices that were sure to come.

"So, aren't you going to let us in boy?" Ferderico said folding his arms. "I'd like to see my great grandson before I die."

"Why? Is that going to be soon?" Reginald's head appeared in the corridor as well.

Darien wavered, indecisive. "He's resting. Can't you come back later? Diana's just had a baby! They need rest and quiet!"

Ferderico glared at Reginald but otherwise, ignored him. He turned to Darien. "We are here now. And I would like very much to see him."

Darien almost flapped his arms in desperation. But not quite.

"Uh...Could you all form some sort of queue?"

Reginald raised an eyebrow. "A queue? You expect us to queue? Is this a shop or a hospital?"

"Yes! Queue! Only two at a time." Darien glared. Me and Diana he thought to himself.

Diana sighed. They weren't going to go away anytime soon. "Darien, it's alright, let them in."

Darien glanced over his shoulder. "Are you sure?"

"Listen to her Darien." Reginald interrupted, pushing Darien away from the door.

Ferderico barged in afterwards. "Let me see the little nino."

Reginald barged in after and scoffed. "You cannot possibly name him nino."

Darien edged nearer to Diana, trying to shield her and his son from the masses streaming in.

"Nino means little boy." Ferderico barked. Then something occured to him. "Say, what are you planning to name the nino anyway?"
