My Office

Darien crouched outside the office door, hidden behind the statue that guarded the entrance. His ears were wolf ears, listening intently to every word that was spoken inside the room.
He suddenly realised what was happening.
The Ravenclaw was showing her memory!
Growling, Darien leapt to his feet and flung open the door, just in time to see the headmistress disappear into the pensieve...
The stress and annoyance mounted inside him, he felt himself beginning to change.
Wolf ears and hair grew, his teeth became longer and sharper. He dropped onto his knees, limbs changing shape and size. His eyes were shut, but when they opened again, they were black.
Without a second's thought, he leapt into the pensieve...

Kiara enter the memory the scene was unfamiliar, then she saw someone else enter.

It was a wolf.

"What the?!" she said in shock, this was supposed to be a memory.

Oh God! It was happening! He was back. She turned her back to the scene in the 3 Broomsticks and stared the wolf in the eyes. "Darien." She muttered. She had no idea how she remembered his name, but she was certain of something. He was going to attack. April lifted her wand up and was glad that she´d read "Harry Potter-The School Years". This was because she had learnt the spell to turn an Animagus into it´s human form from it´s animal form. She lifted her wand, but before she could say anything, he lunged at her. "Aaaa!" April screamed, struggling with the Wolf((Why in capitals?)). Then, she had an idea. She muttered, "Accio Headmistress Kiara.". Then, holding onto the stunned Headmistress and the angry wolf, she took them both out of the memory. They resurfaced. It was over.

Kiara pushed aside her shock and wandlessly locked the office pulling her wand out she turned to the two children in front of her.

"Could someone please explain what just happened?" she asked not at all happy.

"HE is an unregistered Animagus. I was TRYING to show you the memory of the 3 Broomsticks when he made a mini CYCLONE, but SOMEONE obviously didn´t want it shown!!!" April glared at him, her lip bleeding. Then, reaching her hand up to her lip, she pointed her wand at it and said,"Medicor Labia", fixing her lip. She turned to Darien. "You´ve seriously got some nerve! Your first day, and you attack the Headmistress and a fellow student!" April breathed in deeply. She looked at the Headmistress. "I´m really sorry that I had to do that."She looked apolegetically at HM Kiara and clutched her chest. "But he could have killed me." She rubbed her hand on her stomach. "Ow..."

Kiara sent the boy a look as if to say "I will talk with you after"

Then she went to Miss Katelynne's side.

"Are you alright Miss Katelynne?" she asked worriedly.

April suddenly fell on the floor. She had felt a bit of pain at first, but this... it was worse than the Crucaitus curse. She couldn´t breathe it was so painful. In fact, she stopped breathing altogether...

Kiara down knelt down beside the girl who looked to be in great amount of pain.

"Miss Katelynne? can you hear me?" she asked with a large amount of worry in her voice.

Placing her hand over the girls chest and her ear near her mouth she neither felt nor heard any breath coming from her.

Waving her wand, she cast a spell the should force the girl to breathe.

Then wandlessly she summond a pain releif potion, hopefully it would give enough releif that Miss Katelynne would be able to breathe on her own. Then she could be taken to the hospital wing.

April stirred. She felt as if a giant had been stepping on her and then rubbed garlic on her(the potion). She felt seconds away from death. It was horrible. "Ana...Darien...Must show memor-" April mumbled, but she coughed before she could finish. Her eyes closed, she fell into a deep sleep.

Kiara nudged he girl as she fell in unconsiousness.

"Miss Katelynne? Miss Katelynne?"

But it was no use the girl was out like a light. Turning to the boy who was still in her office she said.

"I need to get her to the Hospital wing, I will be back later so you can explain your self"

With that said she grabbed on to young Ravenclaw and called her Pheonix, Saturn to her so she could fire travel with the student to the infirmary.

In a flash blue light the Kiara and April Katelynne vanished to the Hospital wing.

((In Hospital Wing))

Darien stirred. Just in time to see two figures disappear in a flash. What the-
He looked at the pensieve, then his paws, which were slowly transforming back to hands as he regained human thought.
She'd known his name...
He hadn't meant to lunge...It was her fault for trying to snitch on him...She brought it on herself...But she'd always be seen as the victim...Why didn't anyone ever appreciate his side of the story? Not even Ana believed him most of the time...
Oh Merlin! He' d be expelled...
He stayed exactly where he was, sitting in the middle of the carpet in human form, thinking. Planning...
Carefully he pulled out his wand and waved it. Fences grew out of the floor and merged to form a cocoon of sorts. Darien then threw his wand out of the cocoon.
He was an idiot with a temper...what if that had been Ana or Diana or someone he cared about?
But he didn't realise why the Ravenclaw had collapsed.
Bloody Ravenclaws, he thought to himself before curling into a wolf-like ball and transforming. Where was Ana? He needed her now...
Darien? Where are you? You can't just- Darien?!
Ana, Headmistress' office...I've- Come quick.

Ana swore under her breath and began running. How long would it take her to get there? Probably five minutes... Why did she always have to bail her stupid brother out?!

Kiara returned to her office only to find the boy in question wrapped in cocoon of sorts around him self.

Sighing she cleared her throat.

"Excuse me"

Darien's ear twitched at the sound of the Headmistress' cough.
Stupid wolf reflexes...
Where was Ana? She should be here by now...
He slowly turned around and muttered. "Don't come near me..."
He sighed and retreated further back, to the edge of the cocoon. He was not going to let himself attack the Headmistress, even though he was likely to be expelled any moment.
He heard the sound of footsteps approaching and groaned. Probably another teacher here to dance on his grave.
"I didn't- Oh what is the point?!"
He rested his back on the cocoon and closed his eyes, arms folded.

Kiara shook her head.

"I am giving you a chance to explain your self"

Then felt someone approch her office, it was Miss. Vaight.

"You are Ana Vaights brother arn't you?"

Ana loitered outside the door to the Headmistress' study. What had Darien done now?
Just explain what happened.
What good will that do? It might work well for you little sis, but I am not the image of innocent! And as a guy, I can't multi-task, and right now I am having TWO CONVERSATIONS!
He shrugged. "Yeah. I'm Darien."
The dense...
"Shut up Ana! Oh, merlin's- I said that out loud didn't I?"
Nice one genius...
Ana knocked on the door loudly. Time to hurtle in and save her brother...from himself.

Kiara looked at Darien curiously "Ana?".

Hearing the knock on the door Kiara waved her wand to open the door.

"Come in Miss Vaight, don't worry your brother is not being expelled, not yet anyway"

"Thanks Professor...Um...I think I should explain his...outburst...We're telepathic...in a way."
Darien turned slightly red. "Well, I'm a man, I can't multi-task..."
Ana rolled her eyes.
Darien, just tell her. You can't keep this a secret any longer...It's not like Durmstrang!
Darien groaned inwardly. You know how people react to me...But if it saves me from expulsion, may as well.
"Professor, you said you'd give me a chance to explain myself...I appreciate that. But it's not that simple. To do that, I need to tell you something that I don't really want everyone to know."
Ana felt slightly guilty for making him tell the headmistress. "Please Professor...People tend to...react badly."

"I am not most people, and what you say in this office won't go beyond these walls"

Kiara locked the door and cast a silencing spell beyond the door so no one could over hear.

"I am a remarkably understanding person"

Well that was unexpected...
Ana rolled her eyes. "Out loud, Darien...I was there you know."
Darien bit back his retort and recalled the story.
"It was years ago, I was about eight...Ana was only six. We were in the back garden, just playing. My magic had really started to become prominent and I was blasting stuff left right and centre." Ana grinned slightly, that had been fun to watch. "We were just in the garden and this huge rabid dog came out of nowhere. It started chasing Ana."
Ana glared at the floor. Her worst fear. Great. A nice big weakness was screamingly clear now.
"I didn't know what to do, I wasn't thinking straight. Ana fell down and I just ran at the dog. We fought, well I was thrown off and into a tree. After that, it's all kind of a blur, and Ana doesn't remember as she was busy nearly dying at the time."
Ana huffed from the doorway, but he paid her no attention.
"All I know is, somehow my magic went crazy, and I became an animagus. But because it was all just instinct, I change without thinking...and I'm not always in control. That only happens every now and then though, and I can snap out of it. I'm not that dangerous...And I didn't even touch that Ravenclaw! I lunged, but then I snapped out of it, I swear! I never touched her."
Ana stepped towards her brother. "Headmistress, most people react badly...they see him as a threat...they treat him like a werewolf. It doesn't really help that he's a wolf in his animagus form."
Darien braced himself for the traditional 'you are a threat' speech,followed by the equally expected expulsion. What would Diana say?

Kiara listened to the siblings expanation.

"You're a natural animagus?... really? and the does explain somethings"

Kiara sighed and took a deep breath.

" You are not being expelled Mr Vaight, I will do what I can to help you, but I do ask you avoid situations where you might lose control. I can not protect you if you if parents get the ministry involved."

Darien was relieved. Extending a hand, he called his wand to him with a non-verbal command and vanished his strange cocoon.
Told you the werewolf reference would work
Shut up Ana.
"In future professor, I think it would be best if that Ravenclaw was kept away from me. She seems to have made irritating me into some strange hobby. And I don't want to endanger other people by getting angry."
Ana smiled slightly. Clever. Maybe she and Darien weren't so different after all...

Kiara nodded "I have already told Miss Katelynne to do just that"

"Anyway I take it you are attending hogwarts now, I suggest you be sorted"

Kiara summond the sorting hat and placed it on the teenagers head.

Darien heard a voice muttering in his ear.
"Hm...which house shall I put you in?"
Great...Another voice. I could start a drive-through in my head.
"Slytherin." Darien muttered.
"You sound very sure-"
"Because I think I know myself better than you do, headgear."
"Yes...Proud, haughty, arrogant...cunning, strangely instinctive...You are an oddity aren't you?"
Darien rolled his eyes. "Says the talking hat."
"Of course, the pure-blooded mindset. 'I'm too pure-blooded for the hat' and all that."
"Oh I'm so sorry, I offended a hat! However shall I survive?"
The hat snarled in his ear. "Don't make me put you in Hufflepuff..."
Darien growled. "I am a Slytherin and you know it."
"Yet, you also have Gryffindor qualities; loyalty, gallantry, bravery- and then there's the Slytherin pride, arrogance, cunning and some natural talent...Better be...Slytherin."
Darien yanked the hat off his head. "Told you."
The hat ignored him. "Welcome to Slytherin, brother. Mum and Dad will be pleased. You should send them a letter...using your own bird this time."
Darien ignored her, handing the hat back to the Headmistress.

"Welcome to hogwarts Mr. Vaight I must say you know to make a entrence. I do hope you don't make a habit of it though"

Turning Ana she said

"I am counting on you to make sure your brother doesn't get into TOO much trouble. At least on his own anyway."
