The Common Room

"Thank you Diana," Lycoris said, reading the parchment.

((Am I -sensing- something?))

Nicolas beamed.

"Oh no," Diana said overdramatically. "You've made his head bigger."

((No, you aren't.))

Zabby smirked. "Oh...Oops..." she said sweetly. "And, I'm sorry, Diana. I didn't mean to..." She grinned. "You think his head is big...? You should meet my cousin..."

((Or AM I? ^.^))

"I don't know what to say," Lycoris said instead. "Except that I'm booored right now."

((No. As far as I can tell, Nicholas is dating someone.))

Zabby shrugged. "Wanna play Gobstones?"

((Oh really?))

"Sure!" Lycoris agreed. "Um, how'd you play that again?"

((He is. XD))

"I don't know." Diana said sceptically, "Nick's head's pretty large."

"I'm right here you know that right?" Nicolas said.

"What?" Diana smiled sweetly.

"Forget Gobstones," Nicolas said ignoring her. "Let's go play some Quidditch!"

((Aw, I've been reading too much shoujo again. Dang.))

"Sure, I guess..." Lycoris said.

Zabby grinned. "Yes, lets! What position do you play? If at all..."

"Keeper," Diana and Nicolas said at the same time. They got into a staring match and Nicolas was first to break away. "Fine, I'll be a Chaser." Nicolas said.

Diana beamed.

"Beater," Lycoris said.

((I am very sorry for the misunderstanding. >.< This place confuses me. >.<;; ))

((What misunderstanding?))

"Right," Nicolas said nodding. "We're going to need to be Chasers and Keepers just for the point of the game."

Zabby nodded. "I'm a Chaser too. I've always been a chaser, since my adoptive parents used to play Keep Away with me. Brooms were always involved. How did you guys get into Quiddich?"

Diana and Nicolas looked at each other and shared a shrug.

"I don't know... we've always just played it." Diana admited.

Nicolas as silent. "I think it was Tio Armando who taught us how to fly..." Nicolas said seriously, with a certain degree of strain in his voice.

Zabby nodded. "Has he...Gone?" she asked, trying to think of a polite way of asking if their uncle was dead.

((Out to the quiddich feild?))

"He is," Nicolas said rather angrily. "I don't feel like flying anymore. I need to finished my homework..." He turned and left for the boys Dormitories.

"Nicolas," Diana tried to call him back. But he'd already slammed the door.

"I'm sorry about him, he didn't take it well."

Zabby frowned. "What did I say? I really didn't mean to upset him..." She turned to Diana. "What's the easiest way to apologize to him?"

"Start a duel with Darien Vaight?" Helena appeared from the girls dormitories. "That'll put you on his good side for sure."

"No," Diana said to Zabby. "Don't do that. He isn't angry at you, you didn't say anything wrong. He's just oversenstive sometimes."

Helena sat down on a nearby armchair. "Hiya, I'm Helena."

Zabby smiled. "As much as I'd love to start a duel with Darien Vaight, I can't. I'd be murdered my my adoptive parents." She nodded to Diana. "Don't worry...I won't...I'll be a good little girl. Aren't most guys oversensetive?"

She smiled at Helena. "Hi. Zabby. Zabrina Gallagher, really, but Zabby works just fine."

"Hi Helena," Lycoris smiled. "It's nice to meet you. My name's Lycoris but people are free to give me nicknames."

"You got that right," Diana muttered in agreement with Zabby's statement.

"Give you a nickname?" Helena looked susipiciously overly happy. "I'll get back to you on that. So what are you guys up to?"

"Now I'm worried," Lycoris muttered under her breath.

"Nothing to worry about Lycoris," Diana said. "Helena's got the wit of a Hufflepuff."

"Hey!" Helena said. "At least I don't swap spits with Slytherins!"

"And there's nothing to worry about from that?" Lycoris questioned. "And, you know, she has a point. It's kind of out-of-topic, but it's a point."

Diana folded her arms. "And what's that supposed to mean?"
