Diana laughed, "Yes... I can see their appeal."

((Haha but your Kerryn!))

((Yeah, but I'm used to the MMG, too. It's such a pity that I missed the ninth one-- it was the first game I missed, I think. Besides, I'm, only Kerryn in Superville.))

Lycoris' eyes lit up. "I know! I once chased my friend's brother's friend with a stick. It was so much fun, but since it was my friend's brother's stick, he took it away, since we were wrestling over it."

Diana laughed.

"I think Nick did something like that once..."

"My friend's brother didn't want his precious stick broken-- it was kind of long. And twiggy." Lycoris sighed. "Good times..."

"It wouldn't happen to be his wand would it?" Diana said.

"Hm, no... I think it was supposed to be some Boy Scout walking stick," Lycoris laughed, "but if it was a wand, it would have been funnier on hindsight, huh? I think it was taller than me, though."

"Boy Scout walking stick...?" Diana said confused.

"Oh, right. At home, we were raised in a Muggle environment. My friend's brother was a boy scout-- they use outdoor activities to aim at developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness qualities... so they use a walking stick when they went hiking, I think." Lycoris paused. "At least, that's what I recall of the story. It happened some years ago, and that's what the stick was used for. Or it might be some other activity, but they had a stick."

"Oh..." Diana said. "Why were you raised in a Muggle Environment?"

"It enables a more balanced view of living?" Lycoris offered. "Well, aside from that, Dad died early, so Mom raised us. She was an orphaned Squib, and while she accepted magic, she never was able to use it. So, ever since I was three, I hadn't seen magic worked in front of me until Hogwarts."

"I'm sorry to hear about your father," Diana said apologetically. "It must have been exciting to hear about your Hogwarts letter."

Lycoris managed a smile. "Yup! Mom was so happy, she bought me an owl. She's pretty. She's tawny-colored. I named her Auburn and she sometimes comes when I whistle."

"I haven't got an owl." Diana said rather regretfully. "Though I do want one. Dead useful aren't they?"

((You don't want to know how many times I almost wrote "Lisa", "Kerryn", and "Mari". Thank goodness I read them over...))

Zabby shrugged. "Where is Nick, Diana? And speaking of Quiddich, I signed up for Chaser. I'm pretty good at catching things and throwing things. I almost knocked my dad off his broom one time."

"Oh he should be up here soon. Who know's where he is?" Diana said.

"Alright!" Diana grinned. "The Gryffindor team is finally taking shape!"

Zabby grinned. "I can't wait for the Quiddich season to start!" she grinned.

She glanced over at her history homework. "Did anyone understand the History of Magic homework today?"

((Well, we'll get used to it eventually? The forum color theme is reminding me pretty well. Maybe I should have RPed as a guy, though if you guys got -that- mixed up, I'd laugh for a long, long time.))

Lycoris blinked. "We have homework? When?"

Diana shook her head. "What is it about? I haven't had my History block yet."

Just as she said those words, the protrait door opened and Nicolas hopped in.

"Hola, Nicolas," Diana greeted. "Have you met Zabby and Lycoris?"

"Oh, I think so..." Nicolas said surprised. "I think I might have you," he turned to Zabby, "in a few of my classes."

((What did you mention about all your tests and projects, Lustre?))

Lycoris waved from her seat. "Hi, it's nice to meet you. Oh, and Diana, Zabby and I... lost our schedules."

((Shh... homework time is later.))

"I can get you a copy." Diana said. She whizzed out her wand and waved it a few times and two parchements appeared.

"Show off," Nicolas teased.

Diana ignored him.

Zabby grinned. "I think we were partners once. But I don't quite remember. How are you Nick?"

"Were we?" Nicolas said. "Hmmm might have been. Anyway, I'm good, how are you?"

Zabby shrugged. "Maybe. Who knows. I'm pretty good." She rubbed her arms. "Is it cold in here, or is it just me?"

"I can fix that," Nicolas pointed his wand at the fireplace. A second later a flame appeared. "Better?"

"Show off," Diana said this time.

Zabby smiled shyly. "Thanks," she said, moving a little closer to the fire. To Diana, she said, "He might be a show-off, but he's a nice show-off."
