Raven stood up straight and rose her hand politely and silently she knew very well what the unforgivable curses was. When she was called she started to speak.

"There are 3 unforgivable curses. 1 of them is The Killing Curse, once you say it you die, there is no way to block this curse.

2nd there is The Imperius Curse you can control anyone and they would have to follow your demands.

And lastly the The Cruciatus Curse it inflicts excruciating pain.
They are called the unforgivable curses because it is a one way ticket to Azkaban and also they are so terrible there is nothing to be forgivable about them. There torture to people and everyone around them." Raven stopped talking and looked at the professor with a serious face, she knew she was right since her father, before he died, told her all about the unforgivable curses and how much torment they give to people.

Sevastyan strode through the rows of desks, preparing for his next class. He had fairly recently returned from a trip to his homeland of Russia, having celebrated Christmas with his family and many of his colleagues. The party was all well and good until an argument and a fight had cropped up between him and his brother. Although the wizard didn’t look any different, he did walk with a distinct stiffness that hadn’t been there before the holidays.

According to the syllabus he had handed out at the start of term, they were supposed to be going into greater detail with curses, jinxes, and hexes. Their last lesson had been primarily upon theory. As he placed a large, gray, hairy-looking rock upon each of the desks, however, it was clear there had been a slight deviance in his plans. While he hated possibly disappointing some of his students, his current condition of recovery was not quite up to snuff in dealing with students – particularly those with innate grudges against each other, who would require much effort to be pried apart in the event of a duel taken far out of hand.

Banishing the first box back to his desk, Sevastyan picked up another at the back of the room. This one had completely different contents: life-sized magical models of one-legged creatures seemingly made out of whisps of smoke, each bearing a tiny lantern. The wizard placed one of these with each cluster of desks. Some were levitated to their designated spots, while others were physically placed.

Once everything was ready, Sevastyan banished both boxes from the classroom until needed again and eased himself into his chair. The clock indicated there was still a good ten minutes or so before class started. With a shrug he picked up a stack of essays that needed grading, but hadn’t been bothered to grade them over the holiday. He would have much rather sought out Amaranth Viper for even just a fleeting moment with her before class began. However, it was likely she was elbow-deep in her own classes. He would see her later at any rate, and with that lowered his gray eyes to the parchment of the first essay. An ebony eyebrow hiked itself upward at the clear coffee-like stains that made the writing even more difficult to read.

Despite Helena's protest of there not being anyone there yet, Diana walked in followed by a disgruntled Helena.

It didn't seem to be Helena's day for as she was gravitating towards on of the desk at the back of the classroom, Diana went straight for the front.

Helena sighed and followed Diana.

They sat in the front middle row of the desk and waited.

"I could have grabbed another muffin!" Helena whispered angrily.

In reply her friend sat up straight and said, "Good Morning Professor!"

Raven followed behind into the the classroom and sat down. She could hear the other students complaining, but she ignored it. Once Raven settled in her seat and had everything together she looked up at the professor.

"Morning Professor," she greeted as she waited for the rest of the students to come.

Aqua entered class silently. She found a desk near the front and organized herself. She sat quietly and waited.

"Hello," Diana faced the newcomer. "I dont think I've seen you around before."

Athena entered the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, she was quite nervous since she was a first year and she didn’t know anyone. She sat down at a desk and an empty desk was separating herself with the others since she is shy. Athena took out everything she needed a quill, a piece of parchment and her wand as she waited for the professor to begin his lesson.

Sevastyan surveyed the students as they filed in, nodding to each one and replying with a ‘Good Morning’ in return to those that spoke. As he tucked the essays from a previous class away, the wizard held in a smirk and a chuckle as he heard one of the students whisper a remark about snagging another muffin from the Great Hall. The clock on the wall dictated that class time had finally arrived. “I hope everyvone had a pleasant holiday?” he queried, lines etching themselves in his forehead at the mere thought of having to stand up. With a quiet grunt the wizard hoisted himself out of his seat and strode around his desk to begin the day’s lesson.

“To get started, can anyvone identify either of the two objects they found on their desks ven they came in?” Sevastyan asked, gesturing to the nearest desk to point out the hairy gray rocks and one-legged model swinging its tiny lantern back and forth.

Raven looked at the creatures and didn't have any idea what they were. She looked around the classroom watching if anyone else were about to raise their hands. She just sat there clueless as she waited for the answer from the other students.
