Occulemncy lessons

Amy and Aiden wait in the RoR for Darien to come for some Occlumcey help.

Aiden was there as a tester only to see if Darien had been practicing anything the book had explained and the weren't wasting there time.

Darien walked into the room, casually throwing is bag into a corner.
"Alright, read the book and have been practising."
He grinned.
"Ready to learn!"
He cleared his mind of thoughts and emotions as best he could, and braced himself. Time to put his practise to the test.

Amy smiled, "Alright first I am going to cut our link so we can see if you can push Aiden out of your mind." said Amy as she closed her eyes cuting off there link to Darien.

"I won't look at your memories... but you will now I am there moving around. You try to push me out. Alright?" said Aiden.

Then Aiden closed his eyes and push in Darien's mind.

"kick me out...If you can Dar."

Darien closed his eyes and began methodically closing doors in his mind.
How Ana found this easy, he didn't know. But she always found everything easy.
The thought of Ana opened a door, a wave of memories flashing before his eyes.
A wave he couldn't stop.
He was weak.
His father loomed above him, wand pointed at his heart. "I would say I'm disappointed in you, boy... But I already was."
He felt tears looming in his eyes again.
He could see Reginald and Isabella glaring down at him, turning their noses up in shame. He was too Gryffindor, not as perfect as Ana...
Stupid boy!...Ungrateful...Why can't you hold your tongue...Be more like your sister...
Ana burst to the front of his mind, and he remembered the bitterness, the hurt...but then he remembered flinging himself at the dog, his magic exploding in a wave of sparks, streaming around him, changing him.
He heard his howl as his claws and teeth tore into the animal, sending it running away. His magic faded, he returned to normal, exhausted and shining slightly with excess magic.
He felt the grass under his palms as he crawled towards his sister, held her hand, cried out to her. He remembered his fear...his incredible fear.
There had been so much blood...
Reginald loomed above him, eyes wide and afraid. He scooped up Ana and ran into the house, leaving Darien behind.
He remembered the years spent in anger management, the relatives thinking him a freak...
But he remembered Ana lying still in Saint Mungo's, bleeding from the head and shoulder, numerous smalled cuts and bruises. Remembered the healers talking about internal bleeding...
His parents silent, as they looked at him, the survivor. Would they have been as upset if Ana had been the animagus?
He didn't know. He was absorbed by memories, summer days spent playing in the fields around the house, parties, friends...Diana...Hogwarts...Jake's death, the Durmstrang years...The duels, the dinners, the balls...the twins...lessons...
He opened his eyes, forcing his memories back and sending a spike of mental energy back at Aiden. He was kneeling on the floor, and could feel mingled sweat and tears on his face.
"Did-did you see the memories?" He asked Aiden. "It was my fault, my mind wandered...I'm pathetic. I can't even control my own thoughts!"
He beat a fist on the floor.

Aiden looked over at Amy who had since opened reopened their link when she felt Aiden pull himself out of Darien's mind.

"No I didn't look at all of them Darien, and don't feel to bad not everyone is a natural occulmens like Amy" said Aiden he had pulled out when the images of Ana started coming.

Amy stepped in.

"You are not Pathetic, you have the right concept you just need to practice which is why we are here"

Darien smiled and rubbed the sweat and tears off his face with sleeve.
"Ugh-alright. Let's go again."
He cleared his mind and got ready.

"Good, this time instead of doors try visualizing a wall might make its easier to control memories you don't want to see, as a wall is more solid then doors"

Aiden walked up and focused on Darien again.

"OKay.."
Darien visualised a wall, and focused on thinking about nothing else.
Only the wall.
Only the wall...
Only the wall...

Aiden foused on Darien again and entered is mind.

And as before he didn't dig in to memories he was only there for Darien to get the hand of kicking people out, with out showing them all his memories in the process.

"Come on Dar you can do it"

Darien's wall wavered slightly but stayed standing. He visualised harder and harder, trying to push Aiden out.
His wall remained strong, but he wasn't sure how to force someone out of his mind.
He jabbed with his mind...

Aiden stumbled backwards a few steps.

"He did it.." said Aiden.

Amy smiled.

"Congrats Darien you just protected you memories and forced someone out of your mind"

"Sweet!" Darien leapt to his feet, but as they had somehow moved during the internal struggle, his legs were twisted.
He yelped as his legs buckled under him and he crashed down onto the wooden floor.
A burst of hysteria echoed from the doorway, where Ana had been entering. She held up one finger, indicating she needed a minute, and closed the door again.
Darien coloured as he heard her laughing outside in the corridor.
Ana controlled her laughter and opened the door again, deliberatly not looking at Darien. She entered, a huge smirk on her face.
"I take it he's succeeded? Until he fell down that is..."

Amy nodded "Yes he did, we still have alot of work to do, but he passed this so he can only get better now"

"Good...But he really needs to work on the whole standing up part..."
Darien glared at his sister. "Oh yeah? You think you could do better?"
She rolled her eyes.
"Well, do you?"
"Chill Darien, it was just a joke."
"Oh yeah? Well come on then, break into my mind! Prove it."
"Darien...Do you think I'm dad?! I don't go around breaking into your mind, remember?"
Ana looked at him strangely. Darien realised he was being weirdly argumentative. He shook his head slightly. Stupid memories...always messing with my mind.
I second that.
Oi, get out of my mind.
"Darien, why are you on the floor again?" Ana asked, souding wary.
Darien felt his nails growing, and his teeth lengthening.
"Merlin's-"
"I guess that potion wore off then?" Ana asked the hairy wolf. The wolf rolled it's eyes.
You think?
Darien returned to his normal form.
"Right, now we can really test this occlumency theory. Amy, how do I use this occlumency to stay human?"

Amy smiled and said.

"In the same method you used to protect your memories you can expland your shield to protect your human mind, protecting is from the wolf mind. hence you remain in control"

"Okay." Darien started visualising a wall between his human self and wolf animagus.
"We'll need to test it somehow..." Ana pointed out. "You need to be able to stay human during stress and anger."
She pulled out a wand. "But if try to attack us, I will blow you right back again."

Amy thought for a moment "But how to make you angry..... "

Then she smiled sweetly at Aiden "Oh brother dear you could do it..."

Aiden looked at his sister in disblief. "What?.... you want me to make him angry? how?"

"Simple try to access memories that will make him angry"

Turning to Darien she continued.

"It would be a test on both counts, see how you are with some actualy attacking your mind."

Aiden looked uncomferable "Couldn't we just get what a Ravenclaw or someone to annoy him?" He didn't exactly want to excess Dariens more then unplesant memories.

"Um...try the Durmstrang section..." Darien said. "That sounded really weird."
He began to build a wall.
Ana readied her wand. "If he loses it, I'll stun him."

Aiden sighed "Don't hate me okay"

Closing his eyes he concentrated and entered Dariens mind once again, Only difference was when he saw the wall he kept going, and speeded up.

Then slamed into it at full force.

Darien's wall held for a moment, then shattered. He yelped, and felt his wolf self rising, trying to force Aiden out.

Aiden felt the change occure but he resisted and he kept going, seeking memories that made Darien angry.

Darien's anger mounted and he yelled, a yell that became a howl.
He was a wolf once more.
He had to fight it.
He rebuilt his wall, but the wolf kept forcing it's way through.
He felt himself leap, and hit the floor unable to move.

"Pull yourself together Darien!" Ana yelled as she stunned him. He crashed to the floor. She ran to his side and closed her eyes.
Darien, control yourself.
I'm trying...

Aiden fell to his knees leaving Dariens mind "Well that didn't work" he mumbled.

"Sorry Darien"

Amy bit her lip as she though to Darien.

"It will take practice, everytime you rebuild your walls they will get stronger"

Darien returned to human form.
Ana helped him up.
"I didn't hurt anyone did I?"
"Nope." Ana replied.
He grinned. "At least I'm not the only one on my knees this time. Right, let's go again. Oh, and you apologise for no reason again and I will attack you."
He laughed.
Ana rolled her eyes and walked back to her previous postion. "You going to get up off the floor Aiden?"
She held her wand ready.
Darien reprepared his mental barriers and waited for the assualt.

Aiden sighed and stood up, resisting the wolf had been tiring.

Concentrating he entered and slamed into Dariens wall just as he had before.
