Nicolas stared at Amy thoughtfully then at Aiden. An awkward silence enused.

"Well," Camilla said. "Who wants hot chocolate?"

Amy similed, anything to get off there current topic.

"Yes please, that would be great" said Amy.

"Paco!" Camilla said. There was no answer. "Paco?"

Still no answer. "Where is that elf?" Camilla said slightly annoyed.

There was a poof. And a very exhausted Paco arrived. "Paco is sorry mistress, Mister Ferderico is here. He is demanding that Paco serve him some dinner."

"Ferderico?" Camilla said. "What is he doing here? I thought he was still in London."

"He's Diana's grandfather," Nicolas whispered to Amy.

"Paco doesn't know Mistress." The elf said submissively.

"He had a sudden desire for some chocolates." Ferderico Casillas appeared behind Paco.

"Hola, Ferderico," Camilla stood up accordingly and kissed Ferderico on the cheek. "Why don't you join us? We were just about to have some hot chocolate."

"Don't mind if I do, Camilla." Ferderico said waving his wand. A chair appeared next to Camilla and he sat down. It was only then, he noticed Nicolas.

"Nicolas?" Ferderico said, "What are you doing here? And who are your friends?"

"Having dinner Abuelo," Nicolas said. "These are Amy and Aiden Avalon, they go to my school."

"Are they Gryffindors too?" Ferderico said interestedly.

"Oh..." Nicolas looked at the two, "No, they're Slytherins."

Ferderico coughed. "But I though the Gryffindors and the Slytherins don't get along?"

"That is true," Nicolas said thinking of Vaight, "but this is a special case."

Camilla smiled. "Nicolas esta enamorado."

"Mama!" Nicolas said scandalized.

"En serio?" Ferderico said, his lips pulling into a smile.

"Abuelo." Nicolas said turning red, "I have no idea what mother is talking about."

Amy looked back and forth, not knowing a word of Spanish she was totaly lost.

Aiden however raised his eyebrow, "Then why are you turning red I wonder?"

"Ah, he is a sharp one eh?" Ferderico chuckled. "So Avalon... I'm afraid I have no heard that name before."

Amy suddenly felt nervous, "Well you see Mr. Casilas our family doesn't live in the magical world" she ventured. Testing the waters for his rection.

The right side of his face tensed up. "Oh? Why?"

"Abuelo..." Nicolas started.

"No, I'd like to hear it."

Nicolas was silenced.

Okay now Amy was really nervous and she paled in the face "I am not like his reaction so far brother".

"Neither am I, i swear this better not be another Vaight inccident,"

"Umm, well you see Sir our parents don't have magic, so that conclude that is why we live in the muggle world" she explain softly.

"Come on, Papa," Camilla said. "Dinner is no time for blood talk."

But he ignored her. "Are you Half-bloods?" Ferderico asked tentively.

Amy and Aiden looked at eachother, "I don't know what we are classified under" amy thougt

Aiden shrugged and folded his arms " Not exactly, out parents are Squibs from pureblood families. What slot do they fall in to?"

"Squibs..." There was an unpleasant tone in his voice. "From what families?"

Aiden nearly cursed, would have if Amy hadn't interrupted him, but her tone was more steely then before now that she knew he didn't approve.

"Malfoy and Vaight" she said.

Aiden jumped and said "On the mothers side!! Good grief Amy you want him to curse us into oblivion? Merlin"

"What?" Ferderico spat. "Did this girl just say!?"

He turned his glaze at Nicolas, "Is this some joke that you and your cousin are pulling? Do you not understand the extent to which this is disgusting? She I slightly understood, being that her blood was tainted... but YOU?!"

"Abuelo," Nicolas said quickly, holding his hands in front of him, like he was trying to calm down a savage beast, "they're related to them by marriage, not by blood."

"Their father is cousin to Darien Vaight's mother... it's not by blood. They aren't part of this... I can assure you Abuelo, they're not Vaight." Nicolas said. And it had it's calming effect on Ferderico. He started to relax immediately.

Nicolas noticed, "And I will not have you talk about Diana in that way, she is your Grand-daughter!"

Ferderico gazed at Nicolas, his face definite and unyielding. "As long as she is with him, I have no Grand-daughter. You will not speak her name to me again, is that understood?"

Aiden thought over to Amy, "Think now would be a bad time to correct them that we are related to Darien and Ana by blood? Father is Darien's and Ana mothers half brother. "
'Yes Brother, I think it would"

Amy thought as she stood beside her brother, she didn't say anything what the man thought of his own granddaughter. She wasn't friends with Diana, probably never would be. But the cold stare remained in her eyes, Darien wasn't bad.. a little nuts sometimes but he was a friend and Ana was nice a friend to have as well.

If he said anything insulting about her parents however she would not hold her tongue.

Nicolas sighed, he knew arguing with the old man would be futile. "Whatever you say Abuelo."

"Perhaps it would be best," Nicolas said glancing at the other two, "If we left already."

"Nicolas no..."

"Si, Camilla, I think it would be best if the boy left already. He has a lot of studying to do at school." Ferderico said.

Nicolas eyes flared up but he remained calm. "Mother, I think it would be best if we used floo. Persephone is probably still exhausted from our trip here."

Nicolas stood up.

Amy and Aiden stood as well and followed Nick.

Amy turned to Mrs Casillas and nodded her head, "Thank you very much for having us, and we aplogise for any tension we may have brought up."she said with a smile on her face.

Turning to Elder Casillas her eyes went cold, as of a switch had been flipped.

"Have a plesant evening" she said as she walked over toward Nick,

Nicolas lead the way to the fireplace. "After you," he said to Amy.

Both Amy and Aiden walked over to the fire place.

"It can take two right?" she asked, floos made her nervous, if they didn't take 2 people at once it could be deadly.

"and should we go to hogsmeade? We didn't really ask the headmistress if we could use hers"

"Yes, it can take two." Nicolas said.

Then Nicolas thought. "I don't know... maybe we should go to Hogsmeade. But I don't think the Headmistress would mind."


"By the way, I'd appreciate it if you don't say a word of what my Grandfather said about my cousin. It would upset her greatly." Nicolas said seriously. "I've never heard my Grandfather talk about Diana that way. I don't know what's gotten into him."

Amy nodded "Don't worry we won't say anything, not that it is any of our business anyway.... though I can't I liked his reaction to our family either." said Amy.

"Yes, for that I'm quite sorry," Nicolas said apologetically. "I thought he'd still be in London."

Then he shifted his back, "But to be honest, I thought that went well... It could have been much worst. Not that I'd let anything happen to you..."

Amy smiled "Thanks, but don't go thinking I can't defend my self if I need to Nicolas Casillas" she said with a wink.

And to prove her point she flipped her wand in her hand expertly.

"Shale we had back to Hogwarts now?"

Nicolas smirked, "Of course."


"Yes, here, Floo powder," Nicolas got some from an ornate vase near the fireplace. He gaves some to Amy, and then some to Aiden. "Seph would just fly back when she feels like it. She likes the peaches here."

"I think we should go to Hogsmeade though, I wouldn't want to barge in to the Headmistress's office and interupt something. She won't be explecting us so it wouldn't be right. We can go to three broomsticks and to hogwarts from there " Amy said.
