Mae moved, although worried about her motions, slightly closer to the threesome, trying to hear what the Headmistress was saying.

"That's right, mollycoddle her. Sweet Circe, if Shacklebolt could see you now he'd have some words for you..." Viper muttered softly.

Mae frowned, but held her tongue, "Is she going to be okay?" She asked, waiting for one of the professors to answer her, while glancing towards Diana as well.

Kiara listened to Viper and she tried to convince herself that this was like any other mission she had been sent.

But the truth told her no it wasn't the same. This was all to personal.

When Eglantine asked what the letter said she couldn't. Holding back the tears she said

"I can't"

"She is going to be fine, as is your friend, Miss.Schultz." Eglantine sighed and wondered why she hadn't stayed in seclusion.

"Very well, then. But we must do something."

"About who?" Mae was confused, "the letter?"

Viper sighed in frustration at Kiara, ignoring the other two, her patience and brave facade slipping like sands in an hour glass. "Yes you can, Kiara! Its very simple. Just open your mouth and let the words, which deep down you so desperately want to utter, out!" desperately, she did the one thing she'd never done before: beg.

"Please..." Viper pleaded softly.

Mae side-stepped Professor Viper and sat on a chair, "Do you mind if I listen too? I mean, I'm only a student, but please, may I?" She asked the last to Professors Viper and DeLanquar, her eyes showing nothing but worry.

"I must agree with Professor Viper. You must tell us, Kiara." Eglantine patted her back one more time and then produced a lavender handkerchief for her.

Mae watched curiously, trying to remain silent, but curiosity overcame her, "Did you expect this letter Headmistress?" She blurted out.

Viper turned to glare at the student. "Ms.Schultz, we're already being nice enough to allow you to watch this little spectacle, now will you please shut up?"

She turned back to the Headmistress. "Kiara! Listen to me! What did that letter say?!?!"

"She will tell us when she is ready. NOW PLEASE BE QUIET!"

((honestly, I laughed at that kissofdeath...))

Mae nodded, and watched quietly, numerous questions bubbling around in her head - ones she guessed she would ask later.

"I have more of a right to speak than you! My family served the f****** lord while you sat back, hiding with your muggle husband in your muggle village!" Viper screamed, on the verge of a meltdown.

Kiara took a few deep breaths and stood up again pushing all feeling down.

"Fine but don't say I didn't warn you. The letter came to me disguised as a letter from the ministry telling me they had arrested the man that murdered the boy. But I know now that information is false, There was one thing on the letter that one else should know. My full name... Kiara Riddle....... Voldemort sent that letter"

Mae's jaw dropped, and forgetting Professor Viper's rebuke, she cried out, "Really? How did you know?"

Viper stood silent for a moment, before dissolving in a fit of giggles.

Kiara smiled despite everything. She didn't know.

Ignoring Viper, who seemed to think she was joking she said.

"Very simple Miss Schultz, Voldemorts human name is Tom Riddle"

The was no point in hiding it from her now.

Mae wondered what could have caused the Potions Professor's fit of giggles, before then realized that, of course, the other Professors must all know that the Headmistress was related to Lord Voldemort. Then she nodded, "I understand Headmistress. Please continue," she spoke the rest to Professor Viper, "I'll stay quiet now."

"Oh my dear Professor. I'm not laughing out of joy! I'm laughing out of sheer irony!"she managed in between giggles.

"Oh good gracious!" Eglantine muttered shock clearly written on her face. Then she turned her attention to Professor Viper.

"At least try to act your age, Miss Viper." she shook her head.

Mae muffled a laugh and smiled, "Well, I'm sure Professor Viper has right to laugh Professor." She spoke, surprised at her own words, "Who ever said a laugh is bad?" She turned to Professor Viper, "What is so funny Professor?"

Viper continued to laugh, even harder, despite the glares of the other room's occupants.

"Am I missing something? Because I do not find any of this amusing." Eglantine rose to her feet once more and looked around her at the either laughing or almost laughing women. She was obviously of a different generation.
