Romantic Park (Spring 2031)

It was almost night, and it was a perfect night, nice breeze but not to cold, nearly full moon... but not quite.

Aiden smiled, tonight he planned to finally ask Ana Vaight to marry him. They would worry about parents and politics later...
He had everything, the ring, they already had dinner and tonight was just the perfect night.

He almost couldn't keep his thoughts silent, but he had to if he wanted to surprise her.

Ana smiled, she was having a great time. Beyond great really.

She glanced up at the dim blue sky, the first few stars beginning to shine in it's depths, the moon a glowing whiteness, illuminating all it touched.

It was so beautiful...so peaceful.

Aiden smiled at his hopefully soon bride to be, who was more beautiful then the surrounding view of the park they were in.

He wrapped an arm around her waist and planted a kiss on her forehead, he was so glad they were alone. Merlin knows there parents were horrible about there relationship.. his parents finally given up in talking him out of it.. Ana's parents he wasn't so sure... but he and Ana would deal with that as it came.

How he loved her so...

"Having a good time tonight?" he asked breaking the silence in a soft tone.

Ana smiled and rested her head on his shoulder for a moment.

"Yes, I'm having a really great time." She answered honestly, her voice equally quiet so as not to disturb the peace of the park.

She shifted her gaze from the stars in the dark blue sky to the glittering stars of Aiden's eyes, which she easily prefered. The eyes of the man she loved.

Aiden's smiled widened, knowing she spoke the truth, "Good, I am glad" he said just as quietly as before.

When she looked up at him, he couldn't stop his heard from beating just a little harder, as each second went by he was closer to finally asking her..

"I Love you..."

He leaned down only slightly to kiss her softly on the lips...

Ana kissed him back gently, muttering "I love you too." in response.

...Because it was true.

No matter what her parents might think.

Aiden slowed their walk in the park to a stop, he kissed her once more on the lips and caressed her cheek with one had.. and his hand fiddling with the black velvet box in his robe pocket.

"Mind if ask you something?" he asked with smile on his face, his heart beating ever harder..

Ana grinned, a slight teasing expression on her face. "I guess that depends what it is."

"Only joking. You can ask me anything..." She smiled.

Aiden simply smiles kisses her hand and takes out the velvet box...

He winked at her despite his nervousness creeping through him as he par tradition went to one knee..

Still holding her hand and opening the box with magic to reveal the ring, "Will you give me the honor of marry me Ana Vaight? he asked.

Ana had not really expected that.

Okay, she had not even vaguely expected that.

For a moment, she couldn't speak. Her expression was more stunned than anything, as though someone had just hit her in the face with stupefy...which was what seemed to have happened to her brain. Frozen, stuck in the processing stage, unable to even think about speeding up this thinking.

At long last, she found her voice, or at least heard herself speaking.

"...Yes...I will."

But as soon as she heard the words leave her mouth, Ana found herself smiling...and feeling...happy?

...No.

F***king ecstatic.

Still not really thinking, she wrapped her arms around Aiden's neck and hugged him, awkwardly, bearing in mind that he was on one knee. "...I love you Aiden."

Aiden beamed the moment she said yes and he magicked the ring on to her finger. He was so relieved.. for one second he was terrified she would say no.

He hugged her back and kissed her more passionately this time as he picked her up and stood from his knelt position.

"And I love you, Ana" he said as he twirled her around for a brief moment.

Ana couldn't stop beaming, and she laughed joyously as Aiden twirled her around.

"...We're getting married!" She grinned, kissing him again.

Aiden laughed, Happy, almost bubbling with it as he held his new Fiance in his arms. How he loved that word... His Fiance...

He Kissed her back, more then happily as he set her back on her feet yet still held her close, his arms gently around her waist. His lips on her forehead, though he could not properly kiss as he couldn't stop smiling.. he felt giddy.

He hugged her and once again caressed her cheek, "I can't wait" he said with a chuckle as he look into her moonlit eyes..

Ana hugged him back affectionately. "Nor can I."

Her smile grew, and at the moment she could swear the stars, the moon, the very sky, were beaming too.

Aiden smiled and conjured his favorite flower, a Violet.. and tucked it into Ana's hair before hugging and kissing her once again.

" Oh.. I can't believe lucky I am. Oh I love you so much!" he said.

Ana smiled, a faint pink flush visible on her cheeks.

She touched the violet gently and beamed at Aiden.

"I can't believe how lucky I am, to be your fiance..." She sighed happily. "I love you...more than I can describe."

Aiden blushed faintly as well and still in state of high happiness, like nothing not even a Dementor could bring his spirits down right then.

"Not even a foul Dementor could sadden me, when I hear you say that" he said softly in her ear.

Ana smiled, a smile of pure affection.

And for answer, she kissed him.
