Headmistress's Chambers (spring 2031 Dark future)

Kiara sighed as she looked out the window of hers and Ciaran’s chambers at Hogwarts.. Her head rested in her hand as she gazed out at the ground of the great school.

She had numerous powerful wards set up to keep intruders out.. They were draining…but well worth it.. They did work.. She also had a few emergency exits put into school in case the castle came under attack.. Or if the worst should happen and she died… and the wards fell.. The students and staff could escape the castle grounds to a secret and hopefully safe location…

A charmed quill was marking papers for her as she for a moment took the time to let her mind wonder… from reality.. Something she never let herself do now a days… she was much different then the woman she once was… some of the people she loved most were either dead… or miserable because of a death.. And she.. She felt.. Cold numb now.. No longer did tears run down her face… but neither did a smile appear on her lips.. She was broken… tired… wary.. Sometimes she almost wished the purgers would end it already… but then she mentally hit her self for thinking such a thing… no she could not truly wish that.. Not unless all whom she cared for vanished…

It was her remaining family the kept her on this earth.. Other wise she would not have the strength to go on.. Ciaran… her dear sweet husband.. Sometimes she felt guilt… terrible amounts of it. He was such a perfect husband… he never asked anything of her.. Nothing. And half the time it seemed he didn’t truly need her.. For she was always leaning on him for strength.. After all who had died…It was always him that kept her head above it all… making sure she didn’t drown in her grief… And yet she was never able to do the same in return… it seemed to her all she did was take from him… yes she loved him.. With all her heart, but was that enough? She still felt so terrible… some nights when she was sure he was sleeping she would cry silently… so she neednt take more then she already had from him…

Then there was Tav, her step son, who she loved like her own.. He was fully grown and a powerful wizard in his own right and she was so proud. She was glad it brought a rare to see smile to her face now to see her oldest son.. Yet she was pained he couldn’t live a normal life with his love Kaylie… with purgers a mass it terrified her to think of Tav’s future and the pain if might bring to him..

Then Edan, she had a smile for him… sometimes it wasn’t as bright as she wanted it to be.. He was sweet and to her would always he her little boy… She hoped she could have the good fortune and live long enough to see him grow to be a young man. He would make a fine one she was sure, she hoped he kept the sense of humour of his… those around him would surely need it at times…

And little Rossa,.. She was such a sweetheart, sensitive.. Always the first in the room to know something was wrong. However it was because of the she worried for her little girl…worried how she would take another death .. The child still had nightmares, sometimes she refused to even say what they were about., so she had a good idea… they must had been horrifying for her little Rose. Like her brothers she worried for her daughters future as well.

And then Horatio, the father to them all it seemed… and the one she felt pained and sadness for the most.. He lost so much and has so many depending on him… all of them children, of those whose parents have died.. She tired to be there for him help with the twins as much as she can… she wished she could do more but it seemed the fates refused her..

Now she was a broken shadow of the woman she once was, merely living in world she no longer recognised… with the only people she lived for now...
