Transfiguration's Office

"Would you please remind your dear little cubs that Professor Viper is in no way illiterate. Therefore, all the little messages they scribble, carve, scratch, and hex unto their desks are very much visible to me." she said a slightly amused and face. "That, and the fact that I am indeed a real ravenhead. I don't know why they thought I was a real blonde..."

"Of course." Eglantine said softly, rather unsure of what else to say. "Why do you call them my cubs?" she asked, having wondered about that for some time.

Viper raised an eyebrow. "I always assumed that was a term of endearment for the Gryffindors. You know, baby lions and lioness'. I refer to my Slytherins as my serpent army..." She explained, wondering if Eglantine's relationship with those of her house was like Viper's close relationship to those in her's.

Eglantine blushed with embarrassment. "Oh of course." she muttered. Some Head of House...she thought, to have forgotten that the Gryffindor mascot was a lion. "I um... forgot what the mascot was...sorry." She felt terrible. Professor Viper obviously had a great deal of pride in her house and Eglantine cared deeply for each of her Gryffindors, but there was no pride for her house... She viewed the school as a unit not as divided by four distinct houses. Something I will have to work on, Eglantine mused.

Viper smiled gently. "Oh, of course. I forgot, you hadn't attended here. How fortunate for you for having the ability to ignore all the little inter-house rivalries. I'm afraid my rival years are not so far behind me and I find myself getting caught up in between them occasionally." Viper bit her lip as she thought of what she had just said. "Professor, how did you become Head of Gryffindor? The Rosier's are a Slytherin clan, are they not?"

Eglantine sighed. How had she anyway?
"Kiara asked me to become the Head of Gryffindor and I accepted. There wasn't really anything leading up to it, at least not that I can remember." She cleared her throat. "As for your "rival" years, well it wasn't that long ago that you were a student... it takes time to change views or mindsets." in her mind she added, and it takes forever if you don't want to change...

"Well hopefully I won't be here long enough to change..." Viper sighed in thought. "Have you ever actually tried on the sorting hat? Just for fun and to see what House you would be in?"

"The sorting hat?" Eglantine raised an eyebrow. "No I have not." She did not add that she had never even heard of it. Both of her parents had attended Hogwarts, but neither of them had ever told her anything about it. This conversation was subtly reminding her that she needed to learn more about the school.

Viper smiled. "Well you should sometime. Just for fun to see what happens." she smirked. "Who knows, you might really be a serpent instead." she winked.

Ana and Darien wandered up to Professor DeLanquar's office.
Think of an excuse...quickly.
You're here to apologise.
Darien blinked. That was quick.
Ana just smiled and knocked on the door.

"I would not doubt it." Eglantine replied. She heard the knock on the door and sighed.
"Come in."

Ana entered the office, Darien right behind her.
"Hello Professor."

((Waiting for Amy and Aiden.))

Viper raised an eyebrow at the appearance of her students. "Well well well, if it isn't my dear serpents now. Good evening, loves." Viepr greeted gently.

"Evening Professor." Ana smiled.
Darien looked awkward and glanced around for the twins.

Viper smirked as she leaned back. "Professor Delanquar and I were just discussing the joys of being a serpent. Perhaps you can add your own share of thoughts."

"Hello Professor Viper"

"Good evening to you as well" the twins said to gether.

"Is there something I can do for you?" Eglantine asked. She slid her hands under her desk, careful not to allow them to see them shaking.

Viper smiled. "Listen to them, Professor. Let you're inner slytherin-ness slip it. It's alright, they can keep a secret." she winked, exiting the office back to her chambers.

"Um...yes Professor, we were wondering..."
Help people! Ana thought to the others.
"Um...We wondered if... telepathy was inherited."
What the hell?! Darien thought. That was pathetic Ana. Someone else change the subject, quick!

Eglantine stared after Viper. Sighing deeply, she turned her attention to the students.
"Yes it can be inherited." she reasoned, lifting an eyebrow. What did telepathy have to do with transfiguration?

Ana mentally and physically kicked herself.
What a stupid question.

((really sorry, but I have to go, carry on without me lol))

Aiden nodded his head franticlly to his sister.

"Yes think of something Amy.... Really" telepathy was inherited" where did that come from?"


"Actually we were wondering if you could give us advanced transfiguration lessons. Work in class is to easy"

"I'm afraid I do not have the time to teach another class." Something was out of place here, she thought. "Perhaps next year." Shivers ran up her spine and she shook her head.
"Edwin!" she muttered, rising from her chair. She could see the man standing beside the crib.

Amy bit her lip, the women could sense it turning to her brother.

"Now what?"

Aiden took over, trying to distract the professor without making it look obvious.

"What was that Professor? Is some thing wrong?"

"Please move." Eglantine stated, rising from her desk. She hurried toward her fireplace. Her son was in danger and she was going to save him.
In her mind, she easily began to control the baby.
