Forbidden Forest

Kiara sighed in relief when the warmth returned to the air, she hated the cold. Giving one last shiver she body heat returned to normal.

She was also very releived Eglantine had snapped out of the sorrow she was in, it didn't suit the woman.

Although she wasn't looking forward to telling Eglantine about her risky animagi transformation.

"Because up until that moment I concidered it to risky to transform. If you hadn't been captured by Voldemort during full moon I never would have transformed.... err well remember the small amount of Werewolf DNA in my lungs? Well the wolf DNA fights the transformation. Plus it doesn't help I am a Panther... a cat so it fights it even harder..."

She stopped and said the next part quietly and quickly almost hoping Eglantine wouldn't hear her.

''There is a chance that I could lose my human mind during the transformation...."

Eglantine shook her head. "You or Viper will be the death of me." she drawled. "But thank you for rescuing me...or at least attempting to."

Kiara eyed eglantine,

"Now you know how I feel, Viper becoming mortally wounded everytime I turn around, and you..I don't even now where to start with you.... Would you have really done it? Killed your self if Viper and me hadn't come when we did?"

Eglantine looked into Kiara's eyes. "Yes, I would have. His death would have been worth it."

Kiara sighed, she had to admit to her self that she would have done the same thing, so she couldn't lecture Eglantine on that.

"Isn't it better this way though? no one actually had to die ... and my double doesn't count"

"I am glad we made it in time to stop you, Hogwarts would have lost a wonderful teacher. Viper would have lost her rival turned friend and I would have lost a very good friend and confident. "

"Thank you." Eglantine responded. "You are truly gifted at making me feel better."

"Well I couldn't leave you in the state you were in earlier, I dare say the forest wouldn't stand a chance. Remind me never to get on your bad side" said Kiara with a shudder remembering the bitter cold that surrounded Eglantine moments before.

"So sorry about that..." Eglantine said, glancing around at the clearing she had made. It pained her that she had so easily destroyed the life around her.

Kiara looked around "Don't worry about it, just next something is bothering you, don't let it build up to this point"

"As you wish." Eglantine murmured. "I have only once before been unable to control myself...it will not happen again."

Kiara smiled "Good"

Then she saw standing behind Eglantine was a white unicorn.

"Hey look." she said in whisper to Eglantine and pointed toward the animal.

Eglantine turned to look at the creature. "Lovely." she murmured. Its life had also been held in her hands only a few moments before...its wild heart and gracefully arched legs could have been made into ash...

"Unicorns are not real Mama!" Eglantine gasped as the words echoed through her mind. A soft child's voice.
"That's silly!" Again the laughter filled voice. She closed her eyes.

"Make it go away." she muttered talking about the unicorn.

Kiara looked at Eglantine in confusion.

"Why it only wants to help?" she asked but did as Eglantine wanted.

Walking slowly over to the Unicorn she bent down and whispered "Can you come back and heal the forest later please"

The pure white horned horse looked at her for a moment before walking away.

"I'm sorry. It just...is confusing..." Eglantine brought a hand to her forehead.

Kiara looked at Eglantine in concern.
"Hey. what is it?"

"I suppose I just am tired..." Eglantine brought her hand from her forehead. "Why wont they stay still? They only used to shake off and on." she held out her shaking hands.

Kiara held on to Eglantine shaking hands in to her own. She looked at Eglantine in concern still. She been through so much ever since she started working at hogwarts, even more then the rest of them with the connection to Voldemort, and him becoming her child after so much it was bound to cause abnormal amounts of stress.

"I think you have been through so much in so short a while it has shot your nerves, maybe you should visit Juria, she can probably help you"

"Juria? Oh yes, the cheerful nurse..." Eglantine stared down at the ground. "Perhaps."

Kiara sighed, why must she always beg Eglantine to tell her what was wrong.

"Now I know something is wrong, come on now what is it?"

"I heard a voice when I saw the unicorn..." Eglantine glanced away.

((I will only be on for another 20 or so minutes, I have class soon, but will be back in few hours))

Kiara looked at her in confusion,

"A voice? What did it say?"

"I don't remember." Eglantine blinked. "Something about a unicorn. Perhaps it was a memory of my brother. I often read to him and he to me."

"Hmm strange, i don't know"

Standing up her had regained a bit of her energy back.

'Are you feeling well enough to head back to the Castle?"

((Got to go now be back later))

"Thank you, but I think I'll stay here for awhile. I need to think." Sensing that Kiara might disagree with her, Eglantine added quickly. "I will return to the castle soon."

((Okay I am back))

Seeing Eglantine might want some time alone Kiara said.

"If you are sure you are alright, I will leave you to your thoughts then. I need to finish feeding the animals, so I won't be far away. I hope you sort things out"
