The Common Room

"Aww, I'm sure she misses you while your here." Helena said. "Why don't you send her a present?"

Haydon nodded. "I was thinking about it. But what, I don't know...She already has a moving picture of me. It's the same one that was in my wallet."

Zabby smiled. "What about...I'd say chocolate, but that's to cliche... Helena? What do you think?"

"Hey, cliche as it seems, any guy that gives me chocolates will definitely earn brownie points." Helena said.

Zabby nodded. "There you go, Hades. Get Pru chocolates."

Haydon shook his head. "She's allergic to chocolate. And she says it makes her sick..." He frowned. "And she's up to date in the Wizarding world too...So...I dunno..."

"Aww, Why don't you borrow Persephone from Nicolas and take her for a ride?" Helena said.

Haydon looked up. "You think he'd let me?"

"I think he would," Helena nodded. "Nicolas is a pretty nice guy once you get past that jerk on the outside."

Haydon laughed and Zabby nodded. "Mostly, yes. Where could I find him?" the fifth year asked.

Helena shrugged. "I don't know actually... why don't you try the Dormitories?"

Haydon nodded. "I might do that. Thanks, Helena."

He wandered off.

Zabby smiled. "Thanks, Helena. He's been in a bad mood all day."

"No problem," Helena said. "Helping my fellow Gryffindor is my favorite thing to do."

Zabby smirked. "So what about you...? Do you have a boyfriend?" she asked.

"No," Helena said. "I don't play for that team."

Zabby raised her eyebrows. "Batting for the other team?" she asked.

"Yep," Helena said. "Don't tell anyone else though, they don't... exactly approve of such thing."

Zabby nodded. "I don't care. My aunts are gay and they are the best aunts anyone could ask for. Got a girl you like?"

"Yeah, I figured you'd be cool with it." Helena said.

"And yes I do." Helena said looking out the window.

Zabby sensed she was heading into dangerous territory. "May I ask who?"

She had a pretty good idea who it was. But she wanted to hear it from Helena's lips.

"Why don't you guess?" Helena said with a sly smile. "I'll give you three but, I bet you'll only need one."

Zabby smiled lightly. "Diana?"

"That's the winning ticket!" Helena said playfully.

Then she put a finger on her lips. "I suppose I don't need to tell you this... but just a reinforcement. I have told her about my preferances... just not who I specifically prefer. I hope you won't inform her of this."

Zabby nodded. "Of course I wouldn't. If it's something like that, I wouldn't dream of it."

Helena bowed her head. "My thanks."

"The last thing I want is things to be awkward between us." Helena said. "She's angry at me enough already."

Zabby grinned. "No problem. I know how it is to get your best friend mad at you."

"Ha," Helena said. "So, I'm gay, that's my little confession. Anyways, if ever you're looking for a date for the ball..." Helena grinned. "I'm open."
