Diagon Alley

Viper raised an eyebrow at Juria's reaction. Clearly something was up...

"So what are you going to do for the summer? Stay at Hogwarts the entire time? Surely you have some other places to go?"

Juria nodded a yes,

"Some places are good, like hotel rooms or... a place to rent for the summer."

To Juria, the summer would be a drag. She had no one to see, no one to see her and all she could do was spend time with herself. Ever since she was banned from her family she really had no one to visit. Trying to get away from the subject of what she did she asked,

"What do you do over summer Professor?"

Viper shrugged. "Hard to say. Technically its my first 'summer'."

Juria nodded, "Well im sure you will find something good to do Viper."

"Right back at you."

Juria smiled and started going through the clothes again.

"Oh I was meaning to ask, when IS the Yule ball? I know it’s soon but is there a given date?"

"Not that I'm aware of. Around Christmas, I'm assuming."

Juria nodded, that gave her some time to actually find a dress.

"There was a Yule ball when I came here to Hogwarts, I went to it but read while I was here."

Juria laughed, when she was in Hogwarts she was known mostly as the smart student who didn’t have a life other than studying and doing homework. At the time of the Yule ball, no one had ever asked her to it.

Viper raised an eyebrow. "Why?"

Juria shrugged, that’s all she could do. Trying to hide the bit of sadness in her voice she simply said,

"No one asked me and all my friends had a date... so I read to pass the time."

Juria couldn’t meet Viper's eyes so she just kept sorting through the dresses.

Viper looked up after hearing someone address her, noticing a student in front of her. "Hello, Ms.Smith. I'm just fine, thank you. And yourself?"

Juria smiled at the Professor and the student but then turned back down to looking through the clothes. Since they were having a conversation she kept quiet, wondering if they were going to ignore her or notice she was still there.

"Oh don't worry Ms. Smith. It'll be fun nonetheless with or without a date. Ask Juria, she didn't have a date either." Viper replied, flipping through the racks.

Juria smiled, happy to be in on the conversation.

"Thank you Ms. Smith that is kind of you to say. And its fun to go even without a date, I'm surprised that you were not asked yourself. I swear some of the boys here are complete idiots"

Juria's eyes lit up at the thought.

((you can call me Juria, since of course most would say miss or nurse (though she is a doctor) but Amanda can call her Juria =]))

((oh also a side note, this is before Ethan asks Juria out… so in future timeline, Juria DOES have a date. Right now she does not though, sorry if there is any confusion))

"Yes, most boys are, though I don't know why." Amanda said thuoghtfully "How about this dress?"
