Nicolas was walking side-by-side with Persephone. "Do you like your new home Seph?"

Darien morphed into his wolf form and hurtled around the lake, running faster and faster, until he noticed a certain winged horse...and it's boy.
He smirked and slipped quietly behind it, before leaping onto the horse's back, claws extended. He growled in the horse's ear and leapt sideways into the undergrowth, grinning like the wolf he was.

The horse cried out.

"Persephone!" Nicolas shouted. "Bloody hell! I'll kill you Vaight!"

"Flipendo!" Nicolas shouted and as Darien flew back, he shouted. "Fly off Persephone!"

Persephone did as she was told and flew away.

Darien leapt up a tree, becoming human and standing on a branch over Nick's head.
"Aww, how sweet. Send the pony to safety. I'm tearing up over here...with laughter."

"You coward!" Nicolas was infurated. "You bloody coward! What the hell did she ever do to you?"

Darien raised an eyebrow.
"Chill Mr over-protective. It's just a pony. You're acting like an infactuated boyfriend..."
He smirked. "I thought we'd warned you about cross-breeding. And seeing as you're cross and she's a mongeral, that's pretty messed up."

"Avis Maximo!" Nicolas send a whole flock of birds at Darien's direction.

"Immobulus."
The birds dropped to the ground.
"Too scared to fight me man-to-man...or wolf-to-leopard. Shame...I was looking forwards to kicking your sorry self into the lake. Interesting though isn't it?"
He sat down on the branch, leaning against the tree.
"A cat, defending a horse." He snorted. "I should've recorded it and sent it off to some magical humiliation show. I'm sure they'd love to tear your teenage horse-obsession to shreds..."

"At least I care for Persephone more then you do for Diana." Nicolas said through gritted teeth. "You may have my uncle fooled and my cousin under some sick demented spell, but sooner or later they'll see you for what you truely are Darien, a Vaight, in all sense of the word."

"Is that before or after they realise how pathetic and feminine it is to have a flying horse at your age...and considering your gender. Not that I'm implying anything..."
Darien grinned, teeth glinting.

"Not as pathetic as getting your little sister to fight your own battles." Nicolas countered. "Honestly, how does that work for your ego?"

"Why, are you afraid of fighting Ana? You really should consider yourself privilidged that you are one of few who I think worthy to actually fight with in person...rather than leaving you to my sister and her various venoms..."
He ran a hand through his hair.
Wow, this whole act relaxed tactic did help him think more clearly. Pretty amazing... Maybe he would stand more of a chance against Ana now...

"I'm not afriad of anything." Nicolas said. "It comes with the colours. You however, are a coward. Maybe your father would like you better if you actually fight some of your battles rather than letting your little sister do all the work."

"Maybe your gradfather would like you better if you actually managed to follow through on your engagements."

"I would have, if you hadn't interrupted." Nicolas said. "What's the matter? Afriad of losing the only girl who gave you the time of day?"

"A very caring cousin you are...Diana will be interested to hear how you would have gone through with the engagement regardless."
Darien smirked.
"As you are doubtless aware, my girlfriend history is by no means barren...unlike yours I dare say... not counting your various horse-mates..."

"And I'm sure your girlfriend would love to hear how you decided to hurt an innocent animal," Nicolas said. "She was afterall, with me when I rescued Persephone."

"Yes, my girlfriend...and you know what they say...you can't choose your family, but you can choose your friends."

Nicolas laughed. "That is perhaps the stupidest thing I have ever heard."

"So I take it you haven't overheard anyone talking about you ever..."
Darien carefully lengthened his front teeth, turning them to equally shiny and perfectly sharp fangs.

Nicolas folden his arms and smirked. "Diana's a good kisser, isn't she? Ever wonder where she learned it from?"

Don't rise...
Darien fought inwardly.
A fight he knew he would lose. He smoothly changed into a wolf, balancing on the branch.
"Not really...However I have wondered quite why you delight in trying to make me feel bad."

"Oh I don't know..." Nicolas said sacrastically. "Maybe because you attacked my horse?!"

Darien raised an eyebrow.
"No, before that you imbecile."
