The Infirmary

Juria shrugged and replied,

"Not necessarily, somewhat long though. I love it here, I feel like I belong here. I guess you are the newest staff member am I right?"

Juria smiled, however hoped the other would not pick up on the fact that she did not belong anywhere else, Miranda was a counselor though.

Miranda nodded. "Indeed. It is quite interesting to see how things have changed."

Juria nodded and smiled,

"I agree, when I was here the Infirmary used to be smaller and did not have too many counters, now it is the perfect place to work."

"Indeed." Miranda replied, looking at her surroundings and taking it all in.

"Oh, but the messiness is my fault."

Juria said with a laugh, though most of the things in the room appeared to be in order.

((after Yule ball, out of formal attire and back into robes))

Raven walked inside the Infirmary with her hand on her stomach she gotten sick from eating to much cheese at the Yule Ball.

"Juria, I'm sick," Raven looked pale and certainly not look good.

Juria turned her head to Raven's direction. She was out of her dress and in a plain garnet shirt with a satin black overtop and had two buttons buttoned up in the middle. She had on navy blue jeans and her figure was still seen. She had changed out of her beautiful white sleeve-gloves and into some red ones but did not have anything on top of them.

"Raven lie down ill be right there."

Juria instructed and grabbed two bottles and looked at their label quickly. Putting one down she took the remaining bottle to Raven.

"What happened?"

Juria said, knowing from Raven's actions that her stomach was hurting.

Raven laid down on the bed and looking pale,

"Remember when i was eating cheese? Well i think they got me really sick," Raven moaned and wasn't feeling good.

Juria chuckled,

"Well, I guess that could do it."

Juria opened the bottle and popped a round circular pill, about the size of a penny, into her hand.

"Here, take this, it will calm down your stomach."

Juria smiled and handed it to her, it was lime green.

"Where exactly does it hurt?"

Juria asked the girl, using her 'doctor' voice.

Raven took the pill and showed Juria were it hurt,

"Right here." Raven closed her eyes and waited until the pill took effect.

"Yes you probably ate too much cheese."

Juria laughed and sat down on the chair across from where Raven was lying down. Little did Juria realize that her left sleeve-glove was getting dangerously close to showing a little bit of the terror that was hidden underneath it. If the glove slid down a little more it would be evident that Juria had a 'tattoo' but then if it slid down more than that, and if Raven saw it, there would most likely be another friend that Juria lost.

"That should work in about three seconds"

Juria smiled, now all that was left to do was make sure that the pain didn’t come back, sometimes the pill did not completely take effect and dissolved before it could completely help.

"Just wait here for about 10 minutes for me to make sure that you are fine... otherwise I would send you away just for you to come back."

Juria laughed.

Raven smiled at Juria and looked down at her glove and saw something,

"Uh, Juria what is that under your glove?" Raven asked just to pass time away.

Juria's eyes widened with shock and fear and she pulled the glove up so that nothing could be seen

"What? Nothing... it's just a glove..."

Juria hoped that Raven didn’t see too much of it and wasn’t all that curious.

"Are you feeling better?"

Juria tried to change the conversation.

Raven knew there was something suspicious but she didn't dwell on it so much.

"Yeah, I suppose," Raven replied still kind of wanting to know what she saw.

Juria nodded and had her right hand resting across the left sleeve-glove. She did this sub-consciously. If she had known that she had been resting on it she would have stopped since to anyone it would look very suspicious. Juria looked around the infirmary quickly and waited to see if Raven was going to ask her anything.

"So,um,....Do you like being a doctor?" Raven asked looking around the room trying to think of a conversation. Raven was still curious of what was under Juria's sleeve. It looked black like a tattoo but couldn't really tell since Juria hid it right away,

"Why won't you tell me what's under you sleeve Juria? It's ok I won't tell anyone," Raven tried to know what was under the sleeve her curiosity was going wild.

Juria smiled but didn’t look at her; instead she was looking to the right.

"Mmmm hmmm yes I love being a doctor, it's always fun to know what’s wrong and then help it..."

Juria then turned back to look at Raven. Kindness in Juria's eyes was fully showing and she told the young Slytherin,

"I'm sure you wouldn’t Raven... but its nothing... nothing..."

Juria then hopped out of her seat without warning and clapped her hands together.

"I remember!! I have to get you your present!"

Juria went out of the Infirmary quickly and to her personal quarters and came back with three large packages, wrapped in purple paper and a large purple bow with gold trimming held them all together.

"Merry Christmas Raven."

Juria smiled and handed over the package, hoping that this was good enough to change the topic from her mark that was hidden beneath the sleeve.

"Oh Juria! you didn't have to! now I feel guilty!!!" Raven laughed. She opened the presents and had a smile on her face. It was the full series of Inkheart books. Raven was very happy and she couldn't stop smiling. She got up and hugged Juria,

"Thank you Juria!" Raven was very happy she loved book and now she has 3 more books to read.

"I'm forever thankful!" Raven then thought an idea, she would save her money and buy something for Juria. Raven had to she couldn't let Juria give her something nice and Raven didn't give her anything it wasn't right for her to do that.

Juria smiled and returned the hug the young girl gave her. Juria patted her back and laughed,

"I'm glad you like them Raven. They were my favorite books when I was a kid. You will love them I'm sure. You are very much welcome"

Juria smiled, hoping Raven wouldn’t get her anything. Juria's reasons for always being nice were mostly due to the mark on her arm, which had been pushed out of Raven's mind due to the present.

"Now don’t get too excited Raven, it might make you sick."

Juria laughed, seeing the happy face on the girl made her feel happy to.

Raven laughed and sat back down on the bed and looking at the books. They were beautiful with colors and magic swirling all around the front cover. Raven hugged them and was very grateful for them. Raven never had felt this happy ever since her father died. She was so happy it looked like she was about to cry,

"Thank you Juria," she thanked one more time.

"Don't mention it."

Juria smiled, her greatest gift was to see Raven so happy. While Raven waited in the bed to see if she was going to be all right or not, Juria got up and took the bottle back to its correct spot.

Raven then remembered there was something under Juria's glove,

"Can you please tell me once under your glove come on it's not like I'm going to go away or anything," Raven laughed as she looked through her books and was running idea's to see what to buy Juria.

Juria ignored her comment, knowing that if Raven kept this up, she WOULD eventually find out and then go away forever.

"I hope you like the books, if you want you can go trade them in for something else."

Juria changed the subject and could not make herself look in Raven's direction.

"I would never trade them, I will treasure them forever." Raven smiled, "and that's a promise."

Juria smiled, she was glad that the girl liked her present.

"I'm glad they are in safe hands."

Juria smiled and laughed then questioned again, being the doctor she was,

"Are you feeling ok? Or did your stomach ache come back?"
