Dueling Demo

Viper waved her wand once more, cancelling out the flames with a gush of water.

"So I'm guessing a pool party would be out of the question for you?" Viper asked with an eyebrow raised before exclaiming "Impedimenta!"

"Protego"

"I guess you could say that, Everte Statum!"

Viper tried to block the spell but was a second too lat and ended up being thrown across the platform, landing a bit less then gracefully on her feet. Shaking the dust off, she faced Kiara with suprise.

"Oh come now, Kiara! I would have thought you'd agree to a fun little treat for the students." she added with a smile. "I promise I'll wear a decent bathing suit!" Before she used her signature charm "Bombardo!"

"Not again...Protego"

Her sheild wasn't so efficent that time. and she was blown backwards unfortunatly landing on her injured ankle.

Bitting her lip she stood up on her good foot keeping all weight off her left foot.

"Have water party if wish to Viper, but I will not be joining you. being bonded to a bird of fire has it's side effects, including a dislike for cold water... Aresto Momentum!!"

Distracted, Viper was not able to put up a shield, and instead got knocked over, landing a bit awkwardly on her left wrist. She got up with a shrug. "Pity. I have a swim suit that would look amazing on you. Stupefy!"

"Protego"

"Sorry to dissapoint you.... Langlock!"

Viper gasped at the sensation of her tongue being forced to the roof of her mouth. She struggled for a moment before using "finite incantatum"

She raised an eyebrow at Kiara. "Was that really necessary? If you wanted me to shut up you could have just asked....Mimblewimble!" she cast in revenge.

Kiara glared in fustration as any attempt to say a spell was garbled.

So she opted for a wandless stunner aimed in Vipers direction.

Eglantine watched, and slowly placed her wand back into her robe pocket. It was a good thing that is was the weekend, she thought, else classes would have had to be cancelled to make room from the lengthened duel.

Viper attempted to duck out of the way but the stunner still managed to hit a part of her leg, igniting her pants. As quick as she could, she extinguished the flame. Calling for a time-out as she quickly examined her clothing.

She glared at Kiara half-heartedly. "Really, Kiara. If you didn't approve of my clothing, all you had to do was say so. Bombardo Maxima!"

(Yeah, she should be able to hear the conversation. although viper doesn't realize this, otherwise she wouldn't have made the pro-Eglantine comments. ^_^)

Despite the long duel and the exhaustion that would doubtless follow such a vigorous activity, Eglantine found that she was enjoying the banter, after all it was nice to hear Professor Viper use that sharp tongue and wit of hers on someone besides herself. And Kiara seemed much harder to provoke than herself.

Kiara barely managed to duck out of the way of the curse.

"You the one who cast the bloody annoyoing spell that effects how a caster casts spells" she quipped back before finally managing to cast an effective finite incantatum so she could cast spells properly again. Although she was begining to tire out

"Stupify!"

Viper attempted to avoid this stunner, but to her dismay she was too slow and herother leg caught fire, forcing her to pause in annoyance and cast the appropriate charms unto her wardrobe.

"Ventus," she breathed out.

Kiara went to her right knee to withstand the strong wind.

"Avis Oppugno"

"Evanesco!" Viper exclaimed as she vanished the birds.

She smirked as she thought of a spell she often used on her brother when they were younger "Mucus ad Nauseam" she grinned

Kiara grouned when all of a sudden her thoat went sore and her head plugged up.

"Very clever" she said before sucuming to a sneeze.

"Nasalus tentatcius" (bat-bogey hex) she said in a rough voice.
