Dueling Demo

"Welcome members of the dueling club, Today is a demonstration of a full wizards duel. All legal spells are permited in it, me and Professor Viper will demonatrate. Come and watch"

Viper entered the room with a slightly haughty look on her face, her "serpents" all with eager looks behind her. She smiled slightly when she noticed the Headmistress standing at the corner of the room. "Good evening, Kiara. I trust you are well?"

Kiara nodded and smiled over at Viper.

"Yes, I am perfectly well and you?"

Viper nodded. "Of course." she glanced at the students around her, it was more than she had expected. "May I have a word?" she asked, gesturing towards an empty corner.

"Alright" said Kiara as she moved over to where Viper indicated.

"What is it?"

Eglantine entered the room, rather nervous about the duel that was to take place. She had been asked to "referee" the duel and now fingered her wand, whilst tapping her cane in a rapid beat against the stone. Students from all four houses appeared fascinated by the probability of seeing a dangerous activity and Professor DeLanquar relaxed slightly as their anxious joyful faces beamed while they chatted about who they thought would win.

"Not many people know of my -disability- for lack of a better word, and I'd like to keep it that way. Therefore, as much as I loathe to do this, I must ask you not to use any penetrative spells on me. It would look very suspicious if I were bleeding a river with a lung sticking out all the while dueling happily."

Kiara nodded in understanding.

"Of course, i had a feeling that may be an issue, Very well concider it done"

Viper nodded in relief. The last thing she needed was some brat running to tell their Mummy or Daddy in the Ministry that she couldn't feel pain on account of a potion's accident in the department she was struggling to revive.

Viper smiled. "Thank You, Kiara. Shall we get started then?"

Kiara nodded and smiled at the turn out their duel had attracted.

"My as well I don't think the turn out for this demonatrion will get any better" she said as she walked out on to the dueling platform.

Viper nodded, content and took her place on the platform. She took off her cloak and handed it to a Slytherin. She waved her hand, transfiguring her black robes into tight, black, dragon skin pants and an equally tight matching top, excitement illuminating her emerald orbs.

"Professor Viper!" Eglantine called, approaching the woman. In a hushed whisper, "Must you change your clothing?" Her robes were revealing enough... Already cat-calls and whistles were coming from the older boys and it angered the Gryffindor Head of House.

Viper rolled her eyes at the other Professor's anger. "Cripples...always trying to ruin other's fun..." she muttered lowly under her breath. Smiling she turned to Eglantine. "Professor, how do you expect me to duel in my robes? I may end up tripping over them and, and breaking my neck" she gasped dramatically. "And I may never be able to walk again!" she paused with a fake-terrified look. "And I wouldn't even notice! Do you really want that on your conscience" laughing softly at her sense of humor, she shook her head.

"Calm yourself, Professor. They'll be watching the duel before long. Besides, this may...inspire...a few more students to take potions." she winked. "Circe knows I've only got about 7 students..." she mutterd softly as she pulled her hair back.

Kiara smiled and riased her eye brow at Viper's clothing.

"She does have a point though, lose robes can get in the way" she said as she to removed her robe reveling a simple black t-shirt and tight muggle blue jeans.

"When ever you are ready Eglantine, you can count us off"

Eglantine said nothing as she took a position on the floor between the two duelers on the platform.

Wards had been erected around the platform to ensure that none of the students were injured, as it never hurt to be safe.
Mumbling a glamour charm under her breath she charmed Professor Viper's clothing to blur, making it impossible for anyone outside of the platform to see her willowy figure.

"3...2...1... begin." and she stepped back.

The instsant Eglantine move out of the way Kiara acted first.

"impedimenta!"

Viper raced into the silver light, flipping and sommersalting into the air at the last moment, avoiding the spell before yelling "Stupefy!"

Eglantine stayed close to the platform, in case she was needed, but allowed her eyes to wander over the cheering students.

Upon hearing the spell her mind screamed Blockable!

"Protego!"

The stunning spell was absorbed .

"Petrificus Totalus! "

Viper allowed the spell to hit her, opting for a kick of dramatic effect. She stood petrified for a brief moment, deceiving the others before casting a mental, nonverbal finite charm in her mind and tossing an aguamenti at the suprised headmistress.

Kiara was surprised when Viper alloud the curse to hit her and even more when a jet of water came hurling at her.

She moved out of the way though the spell still hit her shoulder leaving her competely wet.

"Two can play that game" she said and nonverbaly cast a Levicorpus back at her.

"Liberacorpus" Viper thought as she gracefully flipped back to her feet and sent a "Scourgify!" towards Kiara's mouth.

(I'll have to go in like 20 minutes)

Kiara bucked out of the way.

"My mouth is not dirty........Tarantallegra!"

Viper ducked. "And I'm not really in the mood for dancing." she eyed Eglantine mischiviously. "And I think our dear Head of Gryffindor may have a heartattack should I really get into a dance." she laughed, before throwing a "Rectusempra!"
