Ancient Runes Classroom.

Calista felt an odd pain wash over her, and hastily sat down.

Maybe she was just imagining it. A few minutes passed, and she relaxed, watching her class as they worked on.

Another strange wave of pain hit her, and she became suddenly certain she was not imagining.

"Someone...go and fetch...the Care of Magical...creatures...professor..." She hissed, irritated when her order was interspersed with gasps of pain. "Now."

She closed her eyes. "And the rest of you...go...outside..."

"Nick, go do as she says!" Diana commanded.

"I already left." Nicolas zoomed out of the classroom.

Diana approached Calista slowly. "Professor?"

Calista still had her eyes tight shut. "Has someone gone to get...?" Her sentence was cut off by another few seconds of agony.

"The school nurse?" Diana said looking around her classmates to see if she could send anyone.

"We're here!" Nicolas announced jogging in with Armando hot on his heels.

"Calista?" Armando said with worry.

Calista opened her eyes for a moment, long enough to notice Armando and feel so much safer.

"Students...send...outside...Hand." The last was more of an order than a request, and she grasped her beloved's hand as another contraction shot through her.

Having a baby really was as painful as they showed it to be in films.

"It's alright." Armando said squeezing her hand slightly. "I'm here now."

To everyone else he said. "Out, everyone out. You have a free period to do as you wish."

Nicolas and everyone else headed out.

"Tio... I mean Professor," Diana said. "I can... er... I think I can help her with the pain, if you'd let me."

Calista nodded without hesitation. It could hardly get worse.

"Took your time." She joked in a gap between contractions, smiling briefly at Armando.

"I ran as fast as I could." Armando said defensively.

Diana nodded and did some motions with her wand. A light-blue light appeared descended down to Calista's belly.

"Is that better?" She asked her.

The next wave of contractions hit, and the pain was significantly less. Calista gasped for breath, squeezing Armando's hand without conscious thought.

"Yes...Thank you..."

"Right then, I'll go outside..." Diana excused herself. And stepped out.

"Just breath..." Armando said squeezing her hand. "It will be alright."

Calista tried to keep her breathing even, but the contractions grew closer together and any words she tried to say were forgotten.

Torn between fear and pure pain, Calista decided that giving birth to a child, a result of love, should NOT be so painful.

(Fast forwarding)

Armando wrapped the little baby boy with his cloak. "He's..." Armando couldn't speak. "He's... perfect."

Calista's eyes searched for her child. Somehow, she already felt a pull towards the little boy.

She tried to sit up, and reached a hand out for the child.

"No, don't try to move too much." Armando said bending down so he could give Calista the baby.

"He's so..." He was overcome with emotions. "What shall we name him?"

Calista held the little boy carefully, pressing a kiss to his forehead.

When she was able to speak, the words came out like a sigh. "You're right...He's so...perfect."

Smiling up at Armando, she reached out a free hand to hold his, supporting the tiny baby with her other. "What was that name we decided?"

"Fitzwilliam." Armando said softly.

The baby cooed softly in his mothers arms.

Calista smiled and squeezed Armando's hand.

"I think he likes that."

"Hey there little guy..." Armando said softly.

He squeezed Calista's hand back.

Calista smiled in pure elation. "So...This is how it feels to be parents."

As if answering, Little Will cooed again.

Armando chuckled. "I think he likes you."

Calista laughed. "Well I know he likes you."

She hugged the little baby close. "Don't you little Fitzwilliam?"

Again Fitzwilliam cooed.

Armando smiled. He couldn't be happier.

Calista's smile was so broad she thought it might be becoming permanent.

"He's so clever..." She crooned, kissing his forehead again.

"Just like his mummy." Armando said kissing Calista's head.

Calista laughed. "Debatable. But I think he looks more like his daddy."
