Kiara felt like crying at his whimper and wanted nothing more then to let him do just that, but her biggest concern was his fever it was rather high and she didn't want it getting worse if left alone.

"I know sweetheart I know, you just need to finish this potion and go right back to sleep I promise, I even sing to you after" she said as she lifted Edan on to her lap and held him like a baby all wrapped up in a blanket.

Then she conjured a spoon a scooped a spoonful of potion out, then brought it to Edans mouth.

"When ever you think you can keep it down sweetie" she encouraged.

Edan nodded, as if understanding, even in his feverish condition. He managed another spoonful before his stomach heaved. "It come up." he sobbed, holding his belly.

Giving Rossa to Tav, Esis snuck upstairs, being careful to be both quiet and not surprise Edan and Kiara. If Kiara needed help with the child, she was more than willing to assist.

Kiara sighed and put the spoon down, taking the cloth she gently cleaned the potion off him again.

"Oh sweetie I am so sorry, shhh" she said hugging him close to her, and taking a break form giving him potions. As his poor stomach couldn't seem to keep it down.

She looked up when Esis came into the room, and tears were coming down her face as she held on to her son.

"Esis help me, he has a high fever and he can't keep any of the potion down long enough for it to have any effect" she said sound very upset and worried as she kissed her young son.

Esis hurried forward, worried by the tears. "Hush now." she murmured, comforting both Edan and Kiara. "It is only a fever... a means to flush the baddies from the body." she kissed Edan's forehead and gently pulled a flask from her pocket. "This shall calm his stomach for your potion." she murmured, gently pressing it against his chest. Edan whimpered slightly, mainly because it was cold, but soon sighed in relief.

Kiara sighed in relief almost when Edan did, she felt much less burdened now that Edan seemed to be in less discomfort.

"Thank you Esis, and I know it is just a fever... I have bad experience with fevers in children"

Dragon pox for example was how people died of it, is was the fever that killed them a unrelenting fever... that rose and rose until the victims body gave up.

No since her first child died of a fever she didn't take any fever lightly.

"Alright sweetie thanks to Auntie Esis, gets try this potion one last time, and then you can sleep all you want." she said getting another spoonful of potion and bringing it to his mouth.

Esis nodded. "I know, dear." she murmured, patting Kiara's shoulder. "Do not fear." she winked.

Edan's mouth opened and he took the spoonful better than he had before, swallowing. "It tastes good..." he murmured, smiling faintly.
"There's are little fire eh..." Esis giggled.

Kiara sighed in relief and kissed Edans cheek, "Thank merlin, you worried me sweetheart" she smiled as she gave him more potion.

" And thank you Esis, we are both grateful for it" she said.

"No problem, Kiara." Esis shrugged, kissing Edan's forehead. "If we shall not assist what are we? Say but the dust of the road and the weariness of our bones."

Edan looked at Esis oddly. "Bones?" he asked.
"Aye... bones..." Esis chuckled, poking his arm. "These things." Edan giggled softly, snuggling against Kiara.

Kiara couldn't help but smile at Edans giggle sure sign he was starting to feel better.

"It is good to hear you laugh again my little fire" she said with a smile.

Edan coughed hoarsely, sniffing, but still smiling. It helped that both his mama and aunt wanted his to.

Downstairs, the door opened and Ciaran and Horatio entered, discussing the latest muggle reality TV show.
"Da, Edan is sick." Tav informed them, pointing upstairs. "Mum and Esis are with him."

"Esis?" Horatio questioned, wondering why she wasn't in Africa still on her vacation. Both men hurried up the stairs to enter Edan's room.

"How is he?" Ciaran asked, kneeling down to kiss Kiara's temple and see Edan.

Kiara sighed in relief again when Ciaran entered and smiled tiredly.

"I think he is going to be fine in no time" she said as she took the cup of potion.

"Here Fire, this will help with that cough" she said bringing it to his lips. Then she looked up and smiled at Ciaran.

" I am glad you are home" she said as she kissed him.

She then looked over at Horatio, "Hello Horatio"

Edan obeyed, happy to have his father there as well. Gently rubbing his wife's back, Ciaran nodded. "I am as well. Me lad was sick and I was not the wiser."

Horatio smiled, still the the doorway, not wanting to crowd them.
"Esis, why are you not in Africa?" he asked, softly. Esis looked at him, raising an eyebrow.
"Nice to see you too..." she muttered. "How is your little brat and that little angel?" Horatio rolled his eyes.
"Ava is well and so is Ara... she is not a brat."
Esis coughed.
"You just keep saying that..."

Kiara smiled, and hugged Edan, "We had a rough spot there for a bit, didn't we Fire? but Esis came the rescue and helped us out a bit" she said sending another smile to Esis.

Kiara couldn't help but lean in to Ciaran and his touch on her back, she was so exhausted from the day.

Looking at the finished cup up potion she said to Edan.

"You can sleep now if you want fire...your potion is finished" she said softly.

Rossa was hugging on to Tav and she felt hungry.

"Foo... tav?" she asked tilting her head to the side.

Edan did not need any prodding as he had already dozed off, content to have so many he loved and trusted about him.

Chuckled, Ciaran leaned down and gently helped Kiara lay him down.
"I'm sorry I didn't come back sooner, love." he murmured, noting how tired she looked. "Come, you need to rest as well." not waiting for an excuse, he gathered her up into his arms and carried her to their bedroom.

Settling her down amid the pillows and blankets, he kissed her forehead and nose. "How are ya?" he asked.

Tav could take the hint and carried his sister into the kitchen for a snack. Setting her into her high chair, he fished the apples out and cut off a small piece, gently slipping it into her mouth.

Kiara smiled at Ciaran, she was glad he was back, "I am fine Love, just a bit tired, more relieved then anything though.... He had me pretty worried for a bit there, that fever brought back... unpleasant memories" she said quietly.

Rossa giggled and ate the apple happily, of course she picked up one slice and reached up to Tav indicating he should eat one.

"I can imagine..." he murmured, climbing up behind her. He gently began to massage her shoulders. "Bit of Shakespeare may help aye?" he suggested.

Tav chuckled, taking the offered apple. "Thanks."

Kiara sighed feeling even more of the stress of the day melt.

Catching one of his hands she kissed him. "You are to good for me Dear" she said with a smile and sigh.

"Yes Shakespeare sounds lovely" she said curling up against him as much as her tired body would allow.

Ciaran smiled. "Aye... but yar a good deal better and perfect." he smiled, kissing her neck.

kiara sighed and closed her eyes, though she didn't fall asleep, she merely listened to words and the sound of his voice. Her left arm was lightly draped across her round stomach, while her right hand was lightly rubbing Ciarans arm as she became entranced by his almost hypnotizing voice and words.

"Oh.. that was lovely dear" she whispered and rested her head was laying piecefull.

' I love you" she whisperred.

Ciaran continued massaging her neck, as the sonnet finished, beginning a new one, smiling at the complements.
"I love you too..." stressing the "you" so it didn't have his Scottish brogue.

"Weary with toil, I haste me to my bed,

Kiara sighed but let out a small chuckle..

"Love? Are you trying to relax to fall asleep?" she muttered. "Because if that is your goal you may achieve it soon" she said feeling as though she were already in heaven. The headache that had been bothering her earlier was rapidly vanishing.

Then baby gave a big kick, and she smiled, grabbing Ciaran's hand she pulled it a spot on her abdomen, where is kicked again.

"Your making her happy to" she said contently.

"Aye, darlin." he smiled, trailing small kisses down her neck. His hand in Kiara's as she set it over her abdomen and his smile grew. "She's like her mum, eh." he whispered. "Full of life."

Kiara smiled and kissed him, " I would say she gets that from her Father as well dear" she said giving his hand a light squeeze.

"Aye...dead men tell no sonnets." he quipped, jestingly.
