Kiara sat in her chair over looking the front yard, it was a hot summer had out, the heat of course didn't bother her, but her growing baby it might if she over heated.

She she sat quite content that morning reading her book and drink herbal tea.

Edan stumbled down the steps, not feeling the best and desiring a cup of cold water. "Mama?" he mumbled, spotting her reading her book. "Can I have some water?"

Kiara didn't find this out of the ordinary, though he seemed less energetic then ususal, she left it to the heat.

"Of course honey" she said as she marked her place in the book got up and went to the kitchen. She put icecube or two into one the childrens cups and filled it up with cold water.

Then she handed the cup to Edan.

"Here you go honey" she said.

Edan took the cup, smiling gratefully up at Kiara. "My stomach hurts, Mama. And my head feels funny." as if to demonstrate, he patted it with his free hand. "Can I go back to bed?" For the fun-loving and very active child to beg to return to his bed, he had to be ill...

Tav walked in behind him, patting his brother's shoulder as he hummed by.
"Do we have any apples?" he called, the sound of the fridge opening following his question.

Kiara looked Edan, concern clearly on her face, she put her hand over his forehead, to get a feel for how warm her was.

"Of course you can go back to bed sweetie, in fact I will go up there with you, we will see about making you feel better okay honey?" ahe said small smile, but there was still conceren writen on her face.

She glanced at Tav "We have some in there somewhere Tav, at the bottem by the veggies." she said as she went to pick Edan up.

Techinally she shouldn't be picking him up, but it was only to take him up to his room, and he wasn't feeling well. That pulled at very string in her heart to pick her little boy up.

"Speaking of apples... Tav could you run by the store? Edan isn't well, could you get some apple juice, for me please?" she as she picked Edan up and rubbed his back

Edan sniffed, always one to make the most of any emotional problem. A few tears because his head hurt really really bad, streamed down his cheek.
"Can I have a potion?" he asked. "To make it stop?"

Tav continued rummaging through the fridge. "I'm not seeing them." he called out again, oblivious to his brother being ill. "Okay, muggle right?" he teased, walking out of the kitchen. "What's wrong with Edan?" he asked, seeing Kiara pick him up.

Kiara kissed Edans forehead, "I will see what I can do honey" she whispered still rubbing his back. And moving for the stairs to go to Edan's room.

"I think he has the flu Tav, Some juice for him to drink will do nicely" she said to her eldest as she climbed the staires.

"I will see if I can make him a childrens headache relief potion" she muttered to herself.

Edan rested his head against his mama's shoulder. "Okay." he muttered, feeling bad for himself.
Calling up to Kiara from the steps, Tav assured her and Edan, that he would get the juice.

Going in to Edans room Kiara slowly lowered her self to the side of Edan's bed and lay him down, she let of sigh, it was going to be a long day. Carrying his small amout of weight up the flight of stiares even tired her out a bit.

Conjuring a bowl, and cloth and spelling water into it she soaked the cloth, ringed it out and put it on his forehead.

"It will take me a bit to make some potion sweetie, keep this cloth on your head until then okay honey, it will help" she said quietly so not to make his head hurt even more.

She covered the blanket over him. "Do you hurt anywhere else Fire?" she asked brushing her fingers throw his hair, away from his warm face.

Edan snuggled into the covers, holding the wet cloth purposely to his head. "My stomach and mouth hurt." he whimpered, a few more tears dribbling down his cheeks. "I wanna sleep." he cried, bursting into a full sob.

Kiara had to hold back tears at her Sons sobs. "Shhh honey... Shhh then try and go to sleep, I will be up with something to help you feel better soon okay? Shhh calm down sweet heart...Shhh" Kiara tried to soothe. She didn't want to leave him so upset in case he got him so worked up he got him self sick to his stomach.

"Honey..." he muttered, his free hand reaching for his bear, which was right out of reach. The bear was falling apart, but he liked it anyway and refused to let anyone fix it.
Cheering up slightly, when he saw Tav bound up the steps and enter his room with a sippy cup full of juice, Edan wiped at his tears.

Kiara carefully handled the bear and set it in Edan's arms, "Here you go sweetheart, settle down now" she whispered.

She smiled in relief when Tav came in.

"Thanks a bunch Tav" she said as she put the cup near Edan's bedside. "Here is something to drink if you get thirsty sweety. No try to sleep ok? I will be back with something to help you feel better alright?"

Taking Honey, he sniffed back several more tears. "O-okay, Mama." he nodded, laying his head back against the pillow.
"Sing okay?" he asked, giving her a smile.

Kiara nodded with a smiled in return.

Useing her magic she conjured a self playing Violin to play the tune for her.

Stroking Edan's cheek she started to sing.

After she finished she made sure he was tucked in and she kissed him on the cheek.


"get well soon Sweet heart" she whispered. Before trying to pull her tired body up of the floor.

Edan's eyelids slowly closed as he listened to his mama's beautiful singing. His head didn't hurt as badly with her singing and he liked it. His thumb slid into his mouth and he fell asleep, oblivious to all else save his dreams of candy mountains and chocolate caves.

Hearing his mum singing, Tav tiptoed back up into Edan's room, peering in just as Kiara got up from the floor. Hurrying forward, he helped her.
"I could have gotten him for you." he murmured.

She smiled at Tav what would she do without him? " Thank you, No Tav... I prefer I did it" she said her arm drap across his shoulders in a one armed hug.

'I would be greatful for your help though" she said as she kissed his cheek. "Its just when any of you are sick I want to be there for you. Motherly instinct Tav, I can't help it." she said with a smile.

Tav nodded, smiling. "Of course." he murmured, returning the hug. It did please him that his mum loved them all so much. When he had been smaller, his father would always try to be there for him... but it had not been the same. It was nice that Edan had a mum.

Kiara carefuly walked do the stairs one arm still on Tav, however she put none of her weight on him. She gripped the raling to keep her balance instead.

Once at the bottom Kiara sighed and moved her hand over her round stomach for a second, she still couldn't believe how much energy she was loosing. Of all days Ciaran could not be home had to be the day one if the Children was sick. But she could cope and with Tavs help, she was sure everythng would be fine.

She was still greatful little Rossa was sleeping still yet she was also worried, one 3 almost 4 year old Edan was bad enough while sick, a ill baby was even worse.

"Want to keep me company while I make a kids flu relief potion for your brother?" she asked as she headed for the kitchen. She thanked merlin Tav was not sick, she didn't know what she would do without him being able to help.

Tav shrugged, smiling at Kiara. "Sure." It would help him with his potions classes if he watched and he was curious.
"So to the kitchen?"

There was a knock on the front door, followed by whoever had knocked simply inviting themselves in. Esis beamed at Tav and Kiara.
"Hiya!" she cheered, hurrying forward to gently embrace Kiara and then Tav, who made an annoyed face, much to Esis' pleasure.
"I brought chocolates and..." she trailed off winking at Kiara. "A bit of the bubbly. Grape juice but it has a very year." laughing she headed off to the kitchen.

Kiara sighed and shook her head in amusment in Esis's antics.

"I just hope she doesn't wake up Rossa and Edan" she muttered going for the kitchen to start on the potion.

Then Rossa cries could be heard from up stairs.

"Dang it..." Kiara sighed her head looking up to the ceiling, Rossa's loud cries directly above them.

Esis set the parcels on the kitchen table and hurried back to where Tav was standing. "Why aren't you doing something?" she asked him, hearing Rossa cry.
"Want my help, Kiara?" she asked, knowing she was good with babies and Kiara might have been tired. Otherwise she was content to pop open the cognac and make herself at home.
Tav rolled his eyes. "I am "doing something"." he countered. "Edan is sick and mum was about to make a potion for him."

Esis cooed. "Aww poor little baby. Is he sleep now? or does he need Finding Nemo?" she asked, holding up the muggle DVD case.

Kiara sighed, Esis had way to much energy for her to day. "Edan is sleeping for the moment, I would prefer he stay asleep, I just got him calmed down, going to make him something to ease his flu symtoms" she said as she patted Tav on the shoulder knowing he was getting flustered with Esis's sudden appearence.

"Well perhaps you could help Esis thank you, if you could get Rossa for me that would be great, I think she will love finding nemo" she said with a nod.

No more needed to be said. Esis bounded up the stairs to get the infant, humming softly what sounded slightly like "The Bear went over the Mountain"

Tav rolled his eyes. "Is she on pepper up potion or something?" he asked.

Esis tiptoed up to Rossa's crib, smiling down at the awake flower.
"Hello my little cabbage pot." she giggled, scooping her up. Kissing the soft baby cheek, she sighed. "Someone looks ready for Finding Nemo."

Kiara chuckled at Tav's words, " She is on something Tav" she said in amusment.

"Come Hun... lets go and make that potion, I only hope Rossa crying didn't disturb Edan" she said as she stepped in to the kitchen.

Going over to the cupboard that held the ingredants to make the potion and took them down before turning her focus to Tav.

"So how have you been doing Tav? both of us are rather preoccupited lately, not much time to talk lately." she said.

Upstairs with Esis,
Rossa sniffed and wipped the tears away, still wimpering with tiredness she uttereed "Buba?" she squeeked askeding for her bottle.
