"Oh," Sevastyan replied, feeling the intense heat of embarrassment rising to his face. "My apologies for the outburst, Kiara... Professor DeLanquar. I... am apparently out of the loop, I suppose," he offered in elaboration. The Russian couldn't remember all the details at the moment of the Excessum wand or its connection - it would come back to him the more he thought about it - but did recall that Voldemort had been mentioned then, too. However, he thought that Kiara's initial comment was to mean that the wizard had risen a separate time from that one. Because of the damage done to his family during Voldemort's reign of the 1990's, Sevastyan had a strong hatred for the man once known as Tom Riddle...

However, Riddle's cousin was much more likable... hopefully the outburst wouldn't negatively impact their friendship. Yes, this thought did cross his mind.

Passively, he took his seat again and took another sip of the whiskey. "Sorry. Vhere vere ve? ... Is it plausible that the Rosiers are behind this?"

Eglantine nodded. "It is possible. Severus, my nephew could be attempting to reclaim the Rosier honour. It was all but stripped from us during Lord Voldemort's first and second reign. Plus, he is now the eldest son, with Erin dead. That makes him a possible heir."

Looking at Sevastyan she said "It is alright Sevastyan, I thought you knew about, if it makes any differnce I tried to kill him to..... didn't work though at the time anyway"

Kiara tilted her head, "what would he gain by going after me?" Kiara asked.

Sevastyan nodded at Kiara's statement, though was a little unnerved to hear the fact that her attempt had failed.

Wait a minute..... possible heir? The Russian cast a quick glance in Eglantine's direction, though his expression was unreadable. Had she meant the word 'heir' as to how he was interpreting the way she said it?

Returning briefly to the conversation, Sevastyan decided to speak up, "Honor regained... vengeance for the death of this 'Erin'... that's all I have at the moment. Perhaps he blames you for something, just as Kazimir blames me for a whole list of things..." After a moment he shrugged, though another idea did come to mind. It was practically on the tip of his tongue...

"Kiara, my family is a very old family." Eglantine began softly. "There are many things that we keep guarded and secret. One of those things is the Prophecy of the Rosier Heir." She did notice the glance Sevastyan gave her and hoped he would not mention anything about Excessum... if anyone was to tell Kiara, she wanted it to be her.

"My nephew could not have cared less about his brother, they greatly disliked one another. And Bella is not a true Rosier as she was adopted. Therefore, since Edwin is not a pureblood and I have no other children. The blood pact may be given to Severus. Right now, it is mine as I am the Rosier Heir."

Kiara looked over at Eglantine curiously "Wait, wait what is this Prophasy and what is it exactly that you have that makes you the Rosier heir?" she asked this could be something big. And she felt like she was missing a big peice of the puzzle. which drove her crazy.

Sevastyan had made a promise not to say anything about the wand to anyone other than those that had known about it at the time he agreed to it, or under the exception that Eglantine told them about it. And, by Merlin, he would keep that promise to the grave if necessary even though he didn't really favor not telling this to Kiara. On one hand he understood why the secret was kept, and agreed to do so: neither one wanted to worry Kiara over a wand. Yet, firmly grasped in the other hand was a feeling that keeping her from it was not the wisest course of action.

So, because he didn't have answers to all of Kiara's questions, and to honor his promise, Sevastyan silently watched the conversation unfold. By DeLanquar's statements, the tip-of-the-tongue notion he hadn't mentioned seemed more and more plausible than his other paltry ideas. Perhaps this Severus thought that by getting Kiara out of the way it would make Eglantine vulnerable...

.... little did this boy, or man as the case may be, realize; as far as he knew anyway: Eglantine had a friend in Sevastyan as well.

"Kiara, I kept something from you, about when Cerise was destroyed." Eglantine began softly. "A wand manifestation of Excessum was created. Engraved on it in ancient runes were the words Rosier Heir among others. Although I am not certain which part of the prophecy the wand points to, this much is certain, the Heir controls it."

Having met Cerise personally the colour in Kiara's face vanished. "I wish I could have been told earlier Eglantine..." She said quietly as she peiced the puzzle pieces together. The wand was the curcial peice, if it with the right wielder could control the power of Excessum they would be powerfull and depending on their intentions very dangerous.

"Where is the wand now Eglantine? do you have it on you or somewhere else?" she asked as a idea as to why Eglantines nephew would want her out of the pictire. Other then the reason he hated her with a passion.

Sevastyan did his best to avoid Kiara's gaze. In fact, he was rather surprised when Professor DeLanquar decided to figuratively "spill the beans". Then again, given how the trial had proceeded and that the wand may be a crucial point or goal, he supposed it was in fact time for the Headmistress to know.

Curiously, he set his attention on Eglantine with a kind of 'shall I tell her, or do you want to?' in regards to where the wand now lay secreted away. As far as he was concerned, it was probably the other professor's duty not only as a colleague but as Kiara's friend to tell the tale. He didn't want to say the wrong thing. Sevastyan had learned in his youth the value of silence when faced with such an uncertainty.

"It is here in Hogwarts, in a room the castle provided for it." Eglantine stated, softly. "In The Door Beneath the Doors." She finished her drink and fingered the bottle.

"I would have told you sooner, but you were already so burdened. And I have already added enough to your burdens over the last few months."

Kiara shook her head "You have never burdened me Eglantine, never, when you have ever needed help It never bothered me, I am more then willing to help. But I don't like being kept in the dark over things, because then I don't know what it is then I can't do anything about it"

Looking over at Sevastyan and noting his adverted gaze and less then confused expression, told her he know what Eglantine was talking about.

"You about it as well I assume?" she sighed.

"Would your nephew know about this wand?" she asked at she turned to Eglantine again.

When he was addressed, Sevastyan turned his head to meet Kiara's eyes. Lowering the gray orbs to the floor, he nodded once. "She came to me about the vand, and ve hypothesized. It is as Professor DeLanquar says, including the vish to keep this burden off your shoulders.

"...ve are in the process of trying to figure out how to destroy it, and learn vot the Rosier prophecy has to do vith it," he explained, figuring that since most of the cat was out of the bag that Sevastyan may as well add his part. Professor DeLanquar could hardly be truly mad at him for adding his details.

"No, Severus knows nothing about the wand. Only Professor Kaminski and I know about it. And now you." she added softly. Refilling her tumbler, she glanced at Sevastyan, offering the bottle.

Kiara nodded and sighed in relief, "Good it should stay that way, I can assit with detroying the wand. I resently moveed the entire Lestrange family library here to Hogwarts. There is bound to be a spell are potion in it somewhere on how to destroy a wand such as that" she said.

It was no seceret the Leatranges were a dark family and there library of spells came close to rivaling the Malfoys and Vipers.

Sevastyan took the bottle with a nod of thanks and poured a little bit more into his glass, handing it back to Eglantine afterward. He took a rather long time with it as Kiara spoke, but he didn't shoot it down in one go.

"I am sure, betveen the three of us, ve can find at least something," Sevastyan offered the moment his nose emerged from the depths of the tumbler. He had no idea how expansive the Lestrange library was. But, if it was anything like his family's own library... well, they'd have more than their share of books to sift through!

"No, we cannot destroy it!" Eglantine exclaimed, passionately. "It is apart of me...a part of Edwin." she whispered softly.

Kiara blinked, and turned her gaze to Eglantine. "Eglantine you can't be serious, not only a wand that holds the power of Exccessum dangerous, its deadly. It maybe a part you Eglantine, but who else does that wand hold a part of hmm? If is all that is left of Cerise it has a part of him as well."

Kiara had seen Cerise, and what she did to Eglantine and what Cerise nearly made her do. It couldn't be left in existence, there was always a chance a wand like that could get into the wrong hands, there would no telling what could happen.

"It must be destroyed Eglantine, as long as it remains in existenace there is a chance it can be found and used" Kiara said with a note of determination in her voice

Sevastyan's eyes grew wary at the passionate refusal to have the wand destroyed. He had been through a discussion like this with her before... the time they were examining the excessum wand. She had at first outright refused and apparently thought he wanted the wand for himself, but in the end she did relinquish it to a kind of joint custody between them. She had even given him free reign to try any theories he may have come up with.

Facing Eglantine and setting her with a rather curious expression, Sevastyan added his own comment, "This is... new information. Especially ven you told me you vould allow it to be destroyed, and to test any methods I might come up vith." His tone was far from accusing, more like concerned with a dash of suspicion. "If there is a vay to make a bond, there has to be a vay to break it... or find a loophole... vithout causing harm to those involved. Then, vonce it is clear you and Edvin are safe, ve can destroy it in full."

Eglantine sighed. "I..." she stopped, aware of both of their gazes on her. "I have done a great deal of research into bonds." she whispered. "Excessum is bonded to me and to those that I used it on. For example, I can feel Viper's brother-in-law, as it can. I can see Edwin as it can. Only Dracovan Viper's thoughts and voice is silent." She lifted a hand to her mouth. "I see them in my sleep and in my waking moments, happy or sad, in whatever they do. If they were to die as Dracovan, I would feel their loss. Excessum is a part of me as much as my heart. It cannot be destroyed."

Kiara sighed, she should have known, "I am sorry Eglantine, I of all people should have remembered that"

"But why did you tell Sevastyan he could destroy it when you knew this?" she asked.

Thinking what may have happend if he had tried to destroy it and the effect it may have had on Eglantine if he succeeded.

Sevastyan gazed between the two witches, not quite sure what to make of this situation. He really didn't have anything to add, but was grateful for little time to theorize if what Professor DeLanquar had just revealed were true, as opposed to the expression being entirely metaphor.

The Russian didn't particularly relish the idea of possibly destroying the wand and finding out the next day that Hogwarts was suddenly out of a Muggle Studies professor... Bonds were powerful, yes, he knew this. But, he also felt that if there was a way to make a bond then there must also be a way to safely break it, or wriggle one's way out of it.

Eglantine fidgeted with the bottle, something she rarely did. "I did not know it at the time. I assumed that the bond I had with Excessum had been fairly broken along with Cerise's death. I did detailed research on bonds with spirit potions and elixirs..." That was not the complete truth, but Eglantine was fairly well mastered in the art of forming the facts to suit her purposes. Neither Kiara nor Sevastyan needed to know about her letters...

(seperat time, Kiara being taken to her quarters by Horatio and Eglantine)

Kiara sighed she gave up on insisting she was fine, even though she was they didn't believe her "The password is On the night of Full Moon" she said as they arroched.

"On the night of the Full Moon." Horatio stated, courteously nodding to the portrait of Merlin. ((assuming the door opened))

After carefully arranging Kiara on her bed and transfiguring her clothes into a nice clean nightgown, Horatio and Eglantine both stood by her bedside.
"How are you feeling now, biene?" Eglantine asked, carefully tucking the covers around Kiara despite the fact that they were already perfectly arranged. Horatio had his pipe in his mouth, but had already warded off the smoke. He looked worried as he paced beside the bed.
"Would you like something, Kiara dear?" he asked. "Music, something to eat, how about some hot chocolate?"

"Tea would be better for her, Horatio." Eglantine admonished, laying a cool towel on Kiara's brow.
